Obama Book Author: Hillary Clinton Needs to ‘Get Back in Shape in More Ways Than One’

Ed Klein at a book signing, where The Blaze caught up with him regarding his comments on Hillary.
New York Times bestselling author Ed Klein‘s doubled down in his criticism of Secretary of State Hillary Clinton‘s weight in an interview with The Blaze today. We caught up with Klein at a signing of his book “The Amateur,” which is in its third week as No. 1 on the New York Times bestsellers list.
Last Monday Klein said on Fox News Radio he anticipated Clinton would run for president in 2016 but also said she’s “not looking good these days” and that she’s “looking overweight.”
We asked Klein if that meant he thought Clinton was too fat to be president.
“I’ve gotten a lot of grief from women all over America for that statement, saying ‘How dare you even mention the secretary of state’s weight,’” he said. “But in fact if [New Jersey Gov.] Chris Christie were running for president I’m sure everybody would mention his weight. It’s not a question of weight so much as it is she looks exhausted. She’s had four very arduous years and looks as if she needs to recover and get back in shape in more ways than one. And she herself has said that she’s tired.”
That’s true. Clinton has said she’s exhausted — over and over again.
“Of course she also said she‘s not interested in elective politics which I don’t believe for two seconds,” Klein continued, “but so what I was trying to get at is that in order to run for president, that’s a four-year campaign and you need to be in shape for it and right now she’s not but I think she can be– get back into shape. So, I have to be very careful what I say about women’s weight from now on.”
In his interview with Fox Radio Klein suggested there might be something wrong with Clinton’s health (other than being “overweight”) that might inhibit her from running. “If her health holds out—that’s a big if, of course—if her health holds out, there’s no question in my mind she [will run],” he said at the time.
We asked if he knew about any specific health problems Clinton has.
“Well she has circulatory problems and she’s had those for many, many, many years. Whether she has any other problems, I don’t know,” he said. “But she does not look very healthy right now. And you have to be in good health to run for president and she’s going to be 69 years old… I thinks he’s got a good chance. I think she’s got the fire in her belly. And I think she’s going to try to get herself back in good shape for it, but we’ll see.”

If, as reported yesterday, the WH leaks can be traced back to Joe Biden…then just the scandal of it can get Joe tossed out. obama would ‘use’ Hillary in a heartbeat…but she is so, so damaged that I don’t know if it would work now except with the lib women.

Lot’s of bad blood. If things don‘t improve drastically she would have NOT chance in 2016 and she won’t jeopardize that. People just don’t want to put up with socialism any more. For example, there’s a good chance that Obamacare will go down in flames. If by some fluke she were elected in 2016, what’s to stop her from pulling that Hillarycare nonsense she tried once before? Wasting the peoples’ time and money on a stupid power grab while the country is hurting, just like the Dems did with Obamacare. The voters aren’t going to take a chance on going through that again.

Indeed, the world seems worse. Our economy sure is.
