Obama Campaign Manager: Despite 9.6 Unemployment, “We’re on the right path.”

After admitting on today’s “Meet the Press” that President Obama is accountable for a dismal jobs and economic record, the president’s campaign manager, David Plouffe, turns around and claims that “we are on the right path.” The irony isn’t missed by host David Gregory:

But 82 percent, but 82 percent of Americans polled believe that the country’s still in recession. … So they don’t believe what you say, which is that we’re on the right path.

Visit msnbc.com for breaking news, world news, and news about the economy

MR. GREGORY: After 19 months in office, President Obama is accountable for this record, is he not?

MR. PLOUFFE: Sure he is. … The question is, are we making progress? We had 22 straight months in this country of private sector job loss. We’ve had eight straight months of private sector job gain. Not as high as anyone would like, but we’re on the right path here. …

MR. GREGORY: But isn’t it striking after 19 months, rather than being able to run on a record, when this president’s had some big swings legislatively at the economy, that you are left basically saying, “Well, you know, we, we may not have done the job, but the other guys are really worse.”

MR. PLOUFFE: Well, no one’s saying we’re not doing the job. We’re very proud of what we’ve done, which is, this hole was so deep, it’s going to–as the president said at his inaugural address, it’s going to take some time to dig out. But we’re on the right path here: economic policies aimed squarely at the middle class and small businesses; creating a new energy sector; the health care law which, over time, I think is going to play a big impact on economic growth. So, no, we’re proud to talk about what we’ve done.

MR. GREGORY: But 82 percent, but 82 percent of Americans polled believe that the country’s still in recession.

MR. PLOUFFE: Well, people are struggling. No one’s suggesting otherwise. But the question is…

MR. GREGORY: Yeah. So they don’t believe what you say, which is that we’re on the right path.

The only unemployment which should continue to go up is among Obama and his Crew.

Starting this November, and continuing until Barry gets his pink slip in 2012.

For starters Plouffe is a moron. But I do agree that America is on the right path now. I say this because Americans have had enough with this administration and we are going to take America back! We are on the right path my Christian brothers and sisters and starting on 2 November America will finally be able to have their voice heard, and hear it they will. All the way to the House and all the way to the Senate. Its time we kick out the low life that have not listened to the voice of America and its time we replace them with someone who willl. Then we will continue on the right path until 2012 of unloading this worthless bonehead who calls himself our President. America has had enough and now our voices WILL be heard.!

George Soros, Code Pink, MoveOn, Billy Ayers and Bernadine Dohrn…these are just of few of the hate-America traitors who have been planing for years for this moment. This is not something that just “happened”…Obama is not just a well meaning but misguided nice guy…this is the final act of the Frankfurt School’s decades long plan to destroy the USA. And they are winning…their war chest is overflowing with money, they have spent decades raising their armies of storm troopers…and they will not go down without a fight to the death. If you aren’t ready to take them up on that fight, then you might as well shoot yourself in the head, because that is their plan for you when they seize full power..

The TARP, Stimulus, Porkulus Bill, Health Care Bill, Earmarks and every other Bill the Dems and Obama passed are unconstitutional while Arizona’s Immigration Bill is constitutional and the Federal Government has no say in what Laws the States pass. If the People of Arizona believe the Immigration Law is unconstitutional the People of Arizona should be the ones doing the suing. There is only one fix and that is to vote all the Dems out and give another group a chance to fix the situation.

It really bothers me that I hear nothing about about real solutions. The solutions are always the same either cut taxes or spend more money. Is that our only two choices?

We need real intelligent conversations on how we can create new Jobs.

Tax cuts are a great way for large businesses to expand their enterprises but when we outsource our JOBS to china it profits us nothing.

It’s a real honor to bring our Jobs back home. SPEND A LITTLE MORE & BUY AMERICAN MADE.

You are right. Solutions are what We should be talking about.

Our tax system is not designed to create any personal wealth, especially in the middle class. There should not be an individual income tax. The only tax We The People should pay is a sales tax, or fair tax as some call it.

We must restore a diversity of jobs. This means keeping more jobs on our shores, and that We must not feel entitled to a job with large benefits. A business must be able to make a profit to stay in business.

We must be prepared to work until the day We die. Social Security is not much of an existance, anyway. This will prepare us to try and create our own retirement.

We must be accountable for our own healthcare. To many people, with and without insurance, are going to the doctor for to many reasons. This only drives the cost of healthcare up. We cannot be going to the E.R. everytime we have a runny nose.

      This is just a start.

It sounds too simplistic but its true, Cut taxes, spur economic growth. Tax any activity and one gets
less of that activity. If one wants more money to be taken at a movie theater, does one incerase the cost of a ticket or does one cut the price.
And it works every time. When Kennedy cut taxes he spurred ecnomic growth,,, but congerss,,,,,,,
When Reagan cut taxes he spurred growth, but “Tip” and the boys incerased spending $1.25 for every
$1.00 that went into the goverment coffers. We can insist on cutting taxes ,,, BUT if we don’t insist just as fervently that WE!!!!! cut spending,,,,,,,,,,ITS NOT GOING TO WORK…….

If we will lead by example then we will have representatives follow.

Those that can afford it must start sending their treasury checks back with a personnal note attached.
If enough people started doing that We will really start seeing some change.

YES, we need tax breaks and spending cuts simultaneously.

But a great way to cut long term spending is to buy American Made and American Assembled products. This will create new jobs. Without new jobs, the government will give more entitlements. Entitlements are destroying our country. Unions destroy our country. Many people need to learn to live with less.

Our debt is the key factor for expensive real estate which fuels the Unions. We need to learn to live with less and PAY DOWN OUR DEBT. This means WE ALL NEED TO CUT SPENDING, not only the government. It’s a vicious circle and it starts with us as individuals.

True leadership is taking the road to being debt free! Those who make it deserve the merit badge.
Our next president needs to be someone who will encourage freedom from debt.

Imagine a true year of Jubilee. The bible makes it clear that we should be debt free.

It is not only the unions that are crushing the grocery industry, but also the corporate stooges who run them. They have a formula for allowing hours to be used in particular departments or tasks. The reason that “baggers” aren’t there is because their job is not seen as revenue generating. Accountants are running the show. They see things in making money not keeping people happy and continue shopping. They believe that if they have all of these club cards and club only deals that people will forget that they can’t get help on the sales floor or have to stand in line for an eternity. That is another reason why there is 25 checkstands and 4 cashiers. I spent 17 years working in grocery stores and I have seen it go from providing amazing service to whatever it is that they have now. I have told my wife that I would rather that she shop at 7-11 before she shops at certain other stores.

They have not spend all of the stimulus cash, but will be showering their base and their campaign with plenty of it within the next few months. He’ll or she will be spending all their time at the colleges pushing our kids further toward socialism. Already the public sector in closing in on 50% of those employed by States or the Federal Government. The Unions now control our State and Federal Gov. and will tax our private sector jobs away, then the only job available will be a government job. Which is socialism/communism.

He also describes both documents as “pesky little pieces of paper”–those statements did not go unnoticed by Americans who love and cherish the freedoms given to each and every citizen of this country! If your POTUS can’t live with them, then he needs to resign and we will get someone who believes the Constitution and Bill of Rights mean exactly what they say and will support them to their dying breath! What most people dont know is they are very proud of what they have done, they have followed the Radical Progressive Agenda almost to the tee ( Rules for Radicals, by Saul Alinsky) they want to bring the system down, as you can tell by growing government and throwing the Private sector under the bus… Obama, Pelosi, and Reed are all in this together… so they are not lying when they say “We are proud of what they have done” because thats exactly what they intend on doing…(which is to collapse the system and save it with government run everything, otherwise known as Socialism)

So true my friend, these fools don’t understand what it means to FIX America because they are in the business of destroying 200+ years of greatness simply because they play by a radical agenda.

We were on the RIGHT TRACK before the progressives stole the American dream from all of us starting with the HATED Woodrow Wilson administration ( See my blog:Woodrow Wilson: Progressive Idol and despot! http://www.sodahead.com/united-states/woodrow-wilson-progressive-idol-and-despot/blog-332685/ )

      Wake up America!!

Isaiah 51:1 “Hearken to me, ye that follow after righteousness, ye that seek the LORD: look unto the rock whence ye are hewn, and to the hole of the pit whence ye are digged.”

We have got to go back to our Judaic-Christian roots and stop this power play for our freedoms, and in return we will all receive what our founders fought and died for a FREE REPUBLIC!

James Madison rightly said : that “The ultimate authority…resides in the people alone.“ And ”It is proper to take alarm at the first experiment upon our liberties. We hold this prudent jealousy to be the first duty of citizens and one of the noblest characteristics of the late Revolution. The freemen of America did not wait till usurped power had strengthened itself by exercise and entangled the question in precedents. They saw all the consequences in the principle, and they avoided the consequences by denying the principle. We revere this lesson too much …to forget it.”

      Benjamin Franklin once said :
“Those who would give up essential Liberty, to purchase a little temporary Safety, deserve neither Liberty nor Safety.”

Don’t give up your personal Liberties for a little government bribe of help, for it is like going from the boiling pot to the SIMMERING of the frying pan, as lower death is the only result! We must lay waste to this despotism once and for all, do not let them go back into their dark holes after the elections and revamp their strategies for another run!

The economic silver bullet, drop payroll tax, add national sales tax and make something very similar to the Bush tax cut, make it permanent.

THE ECONOMY IS GROWING AND HAS BEEN GROWING FOR MUCH OF THE OBAMA PRESIDENCY. IT IS JUST SLOW GROWTH WHICH IS MUCH BETTER THAN WHAT WAS HANDED HIM. BOTTOM LINE YOU SACKGARGLING FOOLS CAN’T STAND THE FACT THAT AN AFRICAN-AMERICAN IS THE PRESIDENT. SO, I GUESS YOU HAVE TO CREDIT AFRICAN-AMERICANS FOR CREATING YOUR MOVEMENT. NOW THERE IS SOME IRONY. THEN THROW IN SOME CORPORATE BACKED MONEY FROM DICK ARMEY AND FEED YOU FAUX NEWS LIES AND YOU HAVE THE DELUSION THE GOP WILL WIN IN NOVEMBER. THE FACT IS THE TEA PARTY WILL ACTUALLY LET THE DEMS KEEP POWER BECAUSE YOUR TBAG CANDIDATES ARE SO FAR OUT OF THE MAINSTREAM.

LASTLY…..REMEMBER GOD IS GOOD, BUT GOLD IS GREATER….BUY GOLD!!!!

I agree. A sign of insanity is doing the same thing over and over and expecting a different result. We the people are not stupid and a train wreck is about to happen in November.

They seem to forget who was in charge of the Congress since 2006. (The Democrats) Congress spends the money and makes the tax laws not the President or the courts. The Dems blame George Bush for all the financial ills but keep forgetting they are the ones who created this depression that has hit our country since 2008. It is congress who has plunged this economy to the depths we now see.
