ABC: Obama Drinks an Array of Beers During Campaign Stops to Appeal to ‘Diverse Working-Class Crowd’

ABC: Obama Drinking Miller Lite, Bud at Campaign Stops Part of Strategy to Appeal to Diverse Working Class Crowd

President Obama could be seen drinking a Miller Lite “one minute,“ and a ”cold bottle of Bud” the next during last week’s campaign stops, according to ABC, in an effort to “appeal to the loyalties of a diverse working-class crowd.”

Describing the scene as a “hallmark of the Obama message machine,” ABC continues:

With meticulous attention to detail, Team Obama has generated a bevy of positive local media headlines on its swing through Ohio and Pennsylvania, two must-win states. His team has also lodged a fresh round of negative attacks on vacationing rival Mitt Romney, who has struggled to respond.

Before manicured patriotic backdrops in town parks and diners, Obama presented a soft and personal side, highlighting stories about his family and upbringing, a new emphasis in his stump aimed at reconnecting with the blue-collar base.  [Emphasis added]

The strategy is quite a change from what Thomas Edsall described in a November article for the New York Times.  He wrote at the time that “…preparations by Democratic operatives for the 2012 election make it clear for the first time that the party will explicitly abandon the white working class.”

In contrast, Obama is now seemingly ingratiating himself with what ABC describes as working-class voters.

“I had a beer in Amherst, at Ziggy’s, so I’m feeling good…Feeling steady,” the president said of his campaign stop in Ohio.

Described as “bus tour optics,” ABC says that Obama has plenty of reasons to feel confident, despite the dismal June jobs report.

Would you ever consider voting for someone because of the beer they drink?  Are these “campaign optics” effective?

After all, one local patron offered to vote for the president if he could beat him in an arm-wrestling match.

Politico recounts:

“I’ll arm-wrestle you for your vote,” Hawks told the president.

“No, I’ll play basketball for your vote,” Obama quipped.

“You’re in a building that has Fox News on,” Hawks told Obama.

Obama then suggested that Hawks ask for the channel to be changed. “The customer is always right,” Obama [noted].

      I was sent an EMAIL today showing pictures of this thug with his feet up on our Presidential desk, all over OUR Oval office. He is the greatest fraud (CORPSE MAN) ever perpetrated on any Country, anytime, anywhere.
      Notice in that BIN LADEN Kill photo-op he was not there working like the rest of them, he was squatting down in his golf clothes… they probably had to drag him in that office. What a PUNK. and now we’re supposed to believe he is a “regular” guy?

      Imagine that, the President of the United States talking to the average person. Romney would never stoop to that although he’s comfortable rubbing elbows with millionairs and billionaires. But you can’t blame Romney. It’s just a little awkward for him whenever he tries to fake being a regular person like you and me. He can’t do it, it’s false. He’s clueless – the closest he‘s ever come to associating with the average person is whatever limited contact he’s had with his servants. To say the least, he doesn’t identify with people, the lesser people, who aren’t worth a couple of million, and it shows whenever he tries. You won’t see him try much of that.

      Anyway, isn’t it pathetic that President Obama talks to blue collar workers instead of people like Donald Trump?

Seems to me it 0bama who graces a room of super wealthy celebrities and the likes of the most wealthy persons of this nation. Buffett and Gates come to mind immediately. While I suspect that Romney does have his contacts with many wealthy people, but they look more to be the job makers and businessmen. 0bama has never looked more plastic and out of place while using these “average Joes” as props for his photo opportunities. I noticed that there was no video accompanying this article. Great thing that the press shills for there man who cannot speak in public without his teleprompter by making certain that there is as little exposure when possible.

      JZS, Another thing about 0bama being seen with the average people. Take a look at the second photo, zero in on the table in front of that your girl in the yellow shirt. Notice anything in particular about the table. You can see plates, but do you see any flatware? The girl to her left may have what appears to be a black plastic spoon. But, I don’t see anything else. Wonder how many people the Secret Service made lever the establishment? That is, if that was not a completely staged event with Ziggy’s being opened to certain crowd only.

      How about more stories on Obama inviting “unindicted co-conspirators” from the HLF terror trial to the White House for dinner?       When the Sandusky Register announced President Obama would be in town on Tuesday and details for obtaining tickets would be given later…decided to email the Democratic Headquarters and ask if there were any tickets left because the event was today. I emailed Amy G the Chair. I was actually quite surprised to see names like hers, Baxter and Murray on the officers list. She wasn’t happy with me when we hung up. I’m persistent and not easily swayed into bs. Perhaps you can use your skills and name to get some honest answers as to the way this affair was handled or mishandled with the ticket situation.”

How can one tell this from the photo? The blue collar workers are drinking from the bottle (as we are prone to do) but Obozo is drinking from a glass mug.       Congratulations Blazers! I’m awed, astonished, by your powers of observation. Based on the presence of hamburgers in a bar and the absence of visible flatware to them eat them with, you’ve rightfully concluded that there is something really suspicious about this photograph.

      When you look at the expressions on the people there you realize this photograph was completely staged, probably with Hollywood actors, because it all looks so fake. One thing the Sherlock‘s here didn’t catch was the subliminal message in the neon lights in the background. Check it out. Otherwise excellent!

      I bet anything that the Secret Service went through this joint before the President of the United States walked in, something NOT depicted in the photograph. In fact, even though you know there are Secret Service people in this bar, you don’t see them in the photograph! Why is that? What is Obama hiding?

      Blazers know the truth. The President of the United States is trying to conceal the fact that he’s wasting taxpayer money on Secret Service protection. Like he can fool us! Does he think we’re STOOPID?

In my opinion as long as the brain isn’t screwed up, like obummer’s, and you can figure it all out, what difference does it really make if you aren’t a great speaker.       You’re dead on right about that. I seem to recall Hillary doing something along the same thing. That and also paying only her tab and never leaving a tip. Man, do these lefties ever and always love and support the blue collar workers! As I have said above, the average Joe is a prop to be seen with only during the election cycle.

      Check out the table in the above link. I only see 2 white plastic forks or spoons or sporks. Not even a plastic knife anywhere in site. I’m surprised those 2 men are allowed to wear their glasses.

      Hi MONK,
      I spotted that when the story first ran. Also noticed that two of the ‘guests’ had burgers instead of a nice plate of food. Okay, they may have preferred burgers, but I had to stop and think about what I would have done in the situation. Given that I would have been required to eat from a plate more with my fingers and could not be trusted with a full compliment of plastic utensils I would have gone with a sandwich too. Or, I may very well sat their and enjoyed nothing more than a glass of iced tea…considering that I could not be trusted to be anything more than a prop for his photographer. Oh yeah, make that a styro cup of tea. God help us all should it be in a real glass. Oh yeah, and JZS don’t even try and tell us that the President goes to any restaurant that serves food and beverage only in plastic and with nothing more than plastic utensils. Just does not fit his elite mold.

      I‘m thinkin’ Liberals think that it is GREAT for them to drink..look at all the talk about a “beer with Obama” and “beer summits” and how many times have you seen pics of Hillary drinking a beer with the guys?? Okay, I have no problem with having a beer, but look how Bush was attacked and austrasized for admitting that he had a drinking problem when younger and gave it up. No alcohol in his White House, and they the Libs always brought up his DUI in his younger days. At least he learned from his mistakes. Apparently Obama hasn’t learned a thing from his druggie days. If George W had done this, they’d have hung him from the White House rafters! Double standard hipocites. You know, I have a brother, who learned as a teen that he couldn’t handle his liquor, I guess like GW did. My brother took a gun after one of his best friends because he got a little perturbed. He’s close to 60 years old now, and hasn’t drank or allowed it in his house in all these years, because he knows what it can do to folks. I don’t have a problem with having a drink…but what I hate is the double standard of these hypocrites.

      VERCEOFREASON, who is wealthier, Mitt Romney or George Soros? What country or countries do you suppose is currently banking Soros’ money? Who wealthier, Mitt Romney, or Warren Buffett? You don’t think that Buffett does not bank and invest in other countries? Who is wealthier, Mitt Romney, or Bill Gates? Just where are Gates’ funds located? Do you have a major problem with people with money or do you support what Soros, Buffett, and Gates do with their money or in what country/ counties they keep it? To me it sounds like you just rabidly hate Mitt, his family, and other job makers in this country because you have your particular agenda.
