Obama Chooses Daley as New Chief of Staff

WASHINGTON (AP) — President Barack Obama is hiring William Daley to be his chief of staff, choosing a veteran political manager with Wall Street ties to direct an operation now steaming toward re-election mode.

Daley will step into one of the most important and influential jobs in American government as an adviser and gatekeeper to Obama. He will replace Pete Rouse, the interim chief of the last three months, a behind-the-scenes Obama adviser who did not want the position permanently and recommended Daley for it.

Rouse will remain as a counselor to the president, an elevated position from his former job as senior adviser.

Two senior administration officials confirmed Obama’s decision to The Associated Press on condition of anonymity because it has not been announced.

Obama is expected to introduce Daley on Thursday afternoon at the White House.

Although Daley carries the name of a dynastic family of politics in Chicago, which is Obama’s hometown, he and the president haven’t been personally close. He offers criteria Obama wants: an outsider’s perspective, credibility with the business community and experience in navigating divided government.

Daley also wants the job. At 62, the move will thrust him into the heart of national politics just as Obama adapts to a new reality in Washington, with Republicans controlling the House, working to gut his signature health care law and pushing for major cuts in spending.

Alfonce Caponio and his ilk learned that to be successful you become the gov. Hence, the Chicago machine. Illinois once was a power house of manufacuring and railroads, etc. but having to support Chicago and its’ tax eating attitude of corruption, Illinois has become an anchor on the economy. This abomination has destroyed Illinois and now is after the rest of the country. The left will use this machine untill they get no more benefit from it. I had warned about putting this outfit in DC, but no one listened. Rahm Emanual will get his chance to add to the ruins because the machine is going to ignore the law and let him run in the “Dead Peoples’ Election”. Then, if the country still sleeps, he will return to DC and reak more ruin on the Constitution and this Great country! You’ve been warned once again! Don’t ignore this, people!

Consider that Wall Street is not American business, it is stratospheric finance and is far removed from what happens on the ground. Unfortunately, from its rarified air it impacts everyone down here. It’s where the manipulators and their cronies go to skim money from business to buy politicians so that they all can skim more money from us.

True, I just read a full article listed in part under the Blaze’s Blog sight; it tells some about the two sons of Soros, and these two are creepy. The problem we have with the father will most likely seem as childs play compared to the two successors of his coming into the light.

I live in Chicago. It is the most political city in the country and the most nasty. We had mud thrown at our gallery window in 2008 for a political cartoon about Obama. (We were having a print sale with a “jihad on prices” in red-white-and-blue colors of course). Funny how every aspect of the cartoon turned out to be true.

Is it not so poetic that the POTUS picked a chicago hack with wall street connections; when he has been attacking the big businesses, and seeking to strangle wall street at the same time? Once again we see the corruption of the administration runs fully to the top, and is no longer being hidded from the public.

I wonder how long this guy will last before Obama sends him to ‘sleep with the fishies.’
