Obama ‘Deserves Our Ire & Condemnation’: GA Business Owner Explains His ‘Kiss My A**’ Banner

President Obama Deserves Our Ire & Condemnation: Georgia Business Owner Explains His Kiss my A** Banner | Ray Gaster | Kiss my Ass | Georgia lumber

Georgia business owner Ray Gaster last week made headlines for hoisting a banner that reads, “I built this business without gov’t help. Obama can Kiss my ass at one of his company’s three locations. The banner, as TheBlaze noted, is a response to President Obama’s infamous “You Didn’t Build That” speech.

“I started on my own,” the Vietnam veteran told FoxNews.com. “The government wasn’t there. We work long, hard hours and what he said is an insult to any businessman.”

After boldly challenging the president and sending a photo of his sign to 45 personal friends and business acquaintances, Gaster reached out to TheBlaze and other media outlets to clarify his position on the Obama administration and its treatment of small businesses.

“In my original message that went out to about 45 friends and business associates, I said that all businesses need to stand up and say, ‘NO, Mr. President you are wrong. I built this business.’ That message has not changed over the last week,” Gaster wrote TheBlaze in an email.

“If we are to be an economically strong America then we must stand together against the heavy hand of government interference. All of the economists tell us that for our economy to recover it will take small and independent businesses to expand,” he adds, “to hire more people and to spend more money.”

Of course, the president might disagree with Gaster and these economists. After all, according to the president, the “private sector is doing fine.” It’s the public sector that needs work.

“Small businesses are part of the SOLUTION, not the PROBLEM. Somehow Obama doesn’t understand this. When he derides us in such a way he deserves our ire and condemnation. It’s tough enough out there without the President stirring up his supporters at the expense of small business owners while he is campaigning by stating that WE did not build our businesses,” Gaster continues.

“No telling where those ideas will lead. That is why I drew the line after his comments. My business is my life,” he adds “and those that know me, know that no one, not even President Obama, will get away with disparaging my business and what I have built over the last 30 years.”

President Obama Deserves Our Ire & Condemnation: Georgia Business Owner Explains His Kiss my A** Banner | Ray Gaster | Kiss my Ass | Georgia lumberThe final paragraph of Gaster’s email states in no uncertain terms what he thinks of President Obama’s “You Didn’t Build That” speech:

I am writing this message to you asking that we all stand together and send a clear message to the President, as well as others, that we are proud of the businesses we have built without government help.

You would think that GB, Rush and the like would want and/or expect people to show their wives some respect, as they both realize they don’t deserve any. These two individuals represent the lowest human condition in that they constantly and purposely show no respect to the PRESIDENT or the FIRST LADY. It is the disrespect they disseminate through their shows that breeds this type of garbage. And why most independents will end up voting for the PRESIDENT again. At least Rush doesn’t have the audacity to promote himself as being a man of God.

Respect is earned, not just given.

Some of us do not respect socialism

some don’t respect being friends with known terrorists (Bill Ayers)

some don’t respect people who sit in the congregation of a hate filled anti Jewish church that preaches black liberation thelology

some don’t respect having our credit rating downgraded for the first time in our history\

some don’t respect having degenerate sodomites unleashed on our military\

some don’t respect having socialist healthcare jammed down our throats

some don’t respect forcing gun dealers to sell weapons to Mexican gangs, and those weapons getting used on our own officers

some don’t respect bowing down to our enemies, and showing disdain for our allies

some down respect a first lady that was never proud to be an American

some don’t respect people that were raised at the feet of a communist (Frank Marshall)

Some don’t respect a man running the economy that never actually worked a real job

And by the way, you are no independent, you are a lib to the core.

If people want to be respected, they will act respectful to others. I’ve seen none of this with either of the Wh residents. Only the liberal left who get freebee’s are happy with this man. That’s why he wants all of us poor and begging for freebees, so we can be controlled by him like the liberals are and lap at his feet.
The memory of “for the first time in my adult life I’m proud of my Country” still rings in my ears as a person who has ought against us.
Lord, help us get rid of this type in our WH. I’m tired of the insults, always saying it’s HIS white house. No, by dam, it‘s the people’s White House. We, of the United States, not his.

I know we can look forward to exactly the same kind of whining when it comes to filibusters, using reconciliation to pass legislation, blocking judicial appointments, insuring gridlock in Congress (party of hell no – remember?), raising the debt ceiling, and on and on. You were for/against it before you were for/against it. It’s the political way. And you’re part of the problem.

Obviously yet another person that missed the point. Let’s see, did he build “that” road in from of his business that let’s his customer go there (see photo)? Did he run electrical, gas and sanitary sewer lines that makes it possible for him to even have a business (see photo)? Or was that the taxpayers? Did he build the interstate highways used to transport lumber to his business from across the country? Did he build the airport the fly in some of his hardware from across the country or the world? Did he hire the firefighters that will try to save his business in an emergency? Does he enforce the electrical codes that help keep his business from burning down in the first place? Did he educate the people who work for him? Did he build the storm water runoff system that keeps his business from flooding (see photo).

Now, when someone starts a business with none of things I’ve listed, out in the middle of the desert somewhere, then I’ll agree he “built that.”

Otherwise, he had lots of help from the taxpayers, like you and me.

      jzs;

You missed the point. His taxes helped pay for that road (construction and/or maintenance [remind you of new/saved jobs?]). On top of that, he had to buy or build a building (where is the government help there? Oh yes, the building department). Then he had to stock inventory (he could have ordered more had he not paid TAXES). Oh yes, then the supplier had to purchase gasoline to deliver inventory (lets see government gets something like $.50 a gallon (taxes that sometimes pay for roads) while the evil oil company gets about $.06 a gallon to find (no gov’t help there), recover (again, no help), refine (gov’t help?), and deliver their product (gov’t regulations increase cost to EVERYONE). Okay, now that the government has allowed him to open his store, he can HIRE someone to help his customers (let me see government helps how?). If he fails to pay TAXES, the IRS will put him out of business (really big help there). Yes I can see he didn’t do it alone, he had help from other businesses (who pay TAXES), and customers. I’m limited here so I hope you get the idea, although it seems a stretch that you will.

That is the typical sign of not having an arguement. Attacking the ones that have points that cannot be defended.

JROOK was commenting on how noone gives respect to POTUS for POTUS sake; because it is O’dummer(apostrophe because he is a we bit Irish you know) and Moo-shell. All AVENGERK was saying is did we forget the insulant attitude given to Bush? After all by your (JROOK’s) logic, Bush should have been respected for POTUS sake.

As far as RANGERP’s point, this POTUS is guilty of incredible acts against the U.S.A. that cannot be defended. I would dare you to put up an arguement that is not anti U.S.A. for all these autrocities created by POTUS.

For R. Congress saying no, it is because of BAD policy that needed to be stopped they say no. If POTUS would put fourth bills that is a good idea, R. Congresmen would vote for it. I would demand it from my Congressman, and would suspect the same from most concervatives. So to answer for R. Congressmen voting no with POTUS bills, THANK-YOU and Thank-you for your service to the U.S. PEOPLE.

      GOD bless the U.S.A.!

Sorry, jzs that you couldn’t follow my (rambling) post. As I said you wouldn’t. Let me ‘splain so even you can understand. The government didn’t begin building roads. Entrepreneurs did. They charged tolls to use them. Towns developed and built roads before there were governments. Governments took over those roles and financed infrastructure through TAXES. THEREFORE, government established, if you want to believe it (and I don’t), an even playing field; and anyone who begins a business and grows it does so WITHOUT GOVERNMENT HELP. How many businesses fail? According to you anyone starting a business is guaranteed success because government did it. Seems you really don’t understand what you claim to believe.

This was the prototype of today’s highways. Paid for completely out of the pocket of a coalition of businesses. And that is how it would still be today, if there weren’t currently a monopoly on highway building. All construction is under the thumb of the NHSTA, and that’s just the way government likes it. A president does not deserve respect just because he has that title. Respect has to be earned, just like in ever position with every job in America. This president has not only failed with the economy and not produced a SINGLE JOB, he has lied time and time again to the American people. Fast and Furious and his protection of Eric Holder ring any bells there?
This “president” has divided our country by race and class more than any president in history, he has brought us back to the 60′s, not moved us “Forward”. The only direction his campaign wants to move us “Forward” is into at best socialism, at worst communism. Give this man another 4 years where he doesn’t have to color within the lines in hope of re-election and he will -as promised – fundamentally change America. Into a 3rd world country. So there is only one title barry deserves in my book and that is “Imposter in chief”. I did not vote for him in ‘08. He is NOT MY president. He is a lying crook.

JZS: all those roads and infrastructure were built for EVERYONE, but only at SOME people’s expense. Lazy uneducated people that do nothing but collect govt checks aren’t paying for all that infrastructure. Small businesses ARE paying for it.

Now, consider just what different people actually DO with that infrastructure:

Some people build upon that infrastructure by opening their own businesses and hiring others.
Some people use them for drug dealing and drive-by shootings.

Some people make things or provide services.
Some people just consume what others produce.

In the end, everybody had the same infrastructure, but some people used it to BUILD and others used it to DESTROY. Barry uses it to buy votes through class warfare and penalizing the successful to hide the losers in society.

@ Encinom….just because you deliberately leave out the word “registration” between voter and fraud…..does not sanitize or remove the core meaning of voter fraud. ACORN was broken to pieces directly as a result of its voter registration fraud. Fraudulently registering voter forms….whether you like it or not…is voter fraud. No amount of liberal word smithing is going to change that fact. In terms of “millions” of people being DENIED the right to vote…..show us one….I am not asking you to show millions….but you show one single example of a person being denied the right to vote. If they don‘t have photo ID there are provisional ballots and secondary mechanisms in place to allow the nit wits who for whatever reason can’t cough up a valid photo ID to cast a vote. This Democrat and liberal whining about people not being able to vote is a huge pile of stinky puke. If a person can figure out how to get food stamps and welfare and SSI or any other free government stuff they can figure out a way to successfully vote too. It is not Republican minions who go to group homes of severely retarded people to make sure they all pull the Obama or Democrat lever. Liberals will do anything to keep the sun from shining on all the shenanigans and stunts the Democratic party has pulled during each election over the past 40 years. Telling a retarded person who to vote for is just about as low as you can go. What the heck? Most liberals are “touched” in some way as well.

@Encinom You are wrong at about US80 being a “governmental” sponsored road….at least in terms of the portion that passes through the state of Georgia. It was built and designed under a private association in the 1910‘s and 1920’s……I really have just about had it with you liberals who for some typically selfish and ignorant reason….you all think every road or highway in this country is a direct result of benevolent Uncle Sam. In fact many many Interstate roads or highways are the result of private or state based efforts. So stop the modern Obama mantra and lie about the “roads” and highways belonging to the federal government. They most certainly all do NOT belong to Uncle Sam….so stop feigning ownership of yet another thing that you absolutely do not own….and therefore in no way do you have some sort of silly self announced dominion over. Go study the Dixie Over Land Highway US 80 and then come back here and apologize. Stop acting like you own things you don’t….they only thing you own is the genetic material that is stuck between your laptops Shift and Screen Lock key. That stuff is all yours Bucko.

Dumpster Baby. Who do you think pays the most in Taxes that pays for those roads and bridges and the U.S. postal service??? Business owners that’s who! And while we are at it… how do you explain away what President Obama said in the paragraph before the infamous “You didnt built that” speech.

Obama said “I am always struck by those (business owners) who think “it must be because I am smarter than everyone else” THERE ARE ALOT OF SMART PEOPLE OUT THERE. or “it must be because I worked so hard” LET ME TELL YOU, THERE ARE ALOT OF HARD WORKING PEOPLE OUT THERE.”

That was not talking about roads, bridges, or teachers. That was an intentional put down of all business owners based on what Obama THINK that the business owner THINK! He did not site a singer incident of actually hearing anyone ever say that … but he is struck by those who THINK.

That is putting his “you didnt build that” comment into context. It was and attempt to devide voters agains business owners.

That speech ENDED President Obama re-election chances. That speech ENDED Obamas Presidency. You on the left dont beleive that …. but in about 90 days you will see just how true it is.

PROUD OF RED NECK TERM DO A LITTLE HISTORY READING …The origins of the term redneck actually go back to the 1930′s in a number of disputes in West Virginia. A large group of unionized miners marched south to Logan County, to pressure the mine owners there to allow their miners to become unionized. To identify themselves, the miners all wore red bandannas around their necks. The publicity associated with the battles and the subsequent court cases created the term red-necks, and at that time they were viewed as the good guys in the conflict.

REDNECKS PEOPLE WHO STAND UP TO THOSE WHO TRY TO KEEP THEM DOWN

I would rather be in a room of red necks who have balls then those who sit on their fat arse and collect welfare then complain they can not use their debit card at the casinos or liquor stores..you know the time the URBAN ZOMBIE LEECHES..

You look up the history of the Dixie Over Land Highway (US80) that this mans store in Georgia is found on. This portion of the road was designed and constructed by a private association. In fact when this road was designed and laid down…the federal government was literally broke. You guys who think that every piece of pavement and concrete belongs to Uncle Sam are totally deluded. There are hundreds of thousands of miles of roads in this country that no more belong to the federal government than they belong to you or me. This entire Obama “You didn’t do that by yourself” mantra is a baseless clueless lie that he did not even think up himself…he stole it from that loon Elizabeth Warren….like he steals most of the things that come from his lips and his Mussolini like maw. Get off the roads bit……the federal government does NOT own them all…..and even the ones that the Federal Government funded were built in great part with private contractors. Show me a non military federally owned bulldozer when you get a chance. Just post the picture here….if and when you find it.

It is time all you Obama-ites get called out on this entire “You didn’t do that by yourself” schtick. In fact other than taking mental ownership of every piece of concrete and pavement that vehicles operate on…..you guys really have nothing else to prove that a business owner did NOT build and develop that business himself or herself. You cannot steal that away.

But I’m thinking of a different great American – Sean Hannity. did you know that through his Freedom Concerts he raised millions and millions and millions of dollars? True! And just because he’s such a great American, he made sure 4% of all that money went straight to the families of our military heroes – no strings attached. Makes me misty just thinking about it.

AND! He volunteered to be waterboarded for charity.

Still waiting, but I know he’ll come through. Why? Because he’s a great American. And because he’s a conservative, and conservatives are people of strong principle. They would certainly never welch on a promise – and especially not where charity is concerned.
