Obama Event Shock: Union Fires Stagehand for Wearing ‘U.S.S. George H.W. Bush’ Shirt & Hat

Duane Hammet’s son has been serving in the Navy for three years. While at work recently, Hammond was sporting a sweatshirt and hat depicting his son’s ship, the USS George H. W. Bush. “Work” for Hammond is as a union stagehand, and while setting up for an Obama rally in L.A. today, his employer didn’t take too kindly to the name on his clothes.

According to Hammond, and reported by KTLA-TV in Los Angeles, the union asked him to remove his hat and turn his sweatshirt inside-out so that the name “Bush” would not be visible. When he refused, Hammond says he was fired:

Update: The union is sorry.

There may be freedom of speech but no speech is free.

Why is anyone surprised that unions behave as they please, without fear of consequences. The same is true of organizations such as the Black Panthers and NAACP (unless a distinction between the two is superfluous).

One day, perhaps these groups may be held to account, although NOT as long as their surrogate occupies the White House and Congress continues to be polluted with politicians bought and paid for by the unions.

After what NPR did and now this, is there anyone left that does not believe that the battle lines are being drawn for the next American civil war, with the left, the Unions, socialists, communists, and MSM on one side, conservatives and free media on the other? Dangerous times in advance of the major loss of power and control coming on November 2nd. Does anyone right thinking American possibly need a greater reason to vote? We must document, report and expose everyone of these ba$t@rds. and sue their a$$es. Take their money, take their power.

The sad thing is it’s not like Obama was there, he was just helping set up for Obama’s speech. Of course, if someone was helping set up for a Beck, O‘Reilly or Palin rally and one of the workers was wearing Obama clothes I’m sure there might be some different comments (maybe even from me).

I doubt if Obama even knew about it. I was just joking that we all might be making different comments about it if the situation was reversed.
