Report: US gives Netanyahu ultimatum on resuming talksIsrael Radio Reported Sunday that The United States gave Netanyahu an ultimatum on renewing negotiations with the Palestinians.
According to the ultimatum, Netanyahu has to decide within a month whether he agrees to accept US President Obama’s proposal and resume talks based on 1967 lines.
Washington is pressuring Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu to accede to its proposal to resume Israeli-Palestinian peace talks on the basis of U.S. President Barack Obama’s May 19 speech.
An Israeli source who spoke recently with senior officials in Washington said the Americans were very frustrated with Netanyahu’s behavior, feeling that he was impeding America’s efforts to keep the Palestinians from unilaterally seeking UN recognition of a state in September.
Netanyahu’s personal envoy, Isaac Molho, spent last week in Washington, where the Americans presented their proposal for resuming talks on the basis of Obama’s speech. Specifically, Obama’s plan calls for negotiating over borders and security first, while deferring issues such as Jerusalem and the refugees until later. It also calls for the borders to be based on the 1967 lines, with mutually agreed land swaps.
The Americans told Molho that to block European initiatives such as France’s proposal for an international peace conference in Paris, they must have something concrete to offer, like Netanyahu‘s agreement to negotiate on the basis of Obama’s speech.
The U.S. proposal was also given to chief Palestinian negotiator Saeb Erekat, who said the Palestinians would resume talks on this basis.
Meanwhile, a European diplomat who was briefed on Molho’s talks in Washington said they were fruitless. “The Americans didn’t get anything new from Molho,” the diplomat said.
This week, American diplomat David Hale will arrive in Israel to hold further meetings with both Molho and Erekat. Hale is temporarily replacing George Mitchell, the U.S. special envoy who resigned earlier this year.
An Israeli source who maintains close ties with both senior U.S. officials and people close to Netanyahu said that Washington‘s frustration began with Netanyahu’s trip to Washington last month, when he publicly fought with Obama and then refused in an address to Congress to endorse the president’s outline for talks. The Americans were now speaking very harshly of Netanyahu, said the source.
“He’s asking us to protect him in September, but he isn’t giving us any tools with which to help him,” the source quoted one American official as saying. “Instead of helping us, he’s making it harder for us.”
As a result, American officials complained, Obama was unable to get Britain and France to commit to opposing a unilateral Palestinian move when he visited Europe last month.
“The Americans need Israel inside, but Netanyahu isn’t there yet,” the source said. “To date, from the American and European perspective, Israel hasn’t given anything.”
European diplomats said Netanyahu’s speech to Congress was viewed in Europe as one long “no” and had thus increased European distrust of him. “We want to hear Netanyahu say he‘s willing to negotiate on the basis of Obama’s speech and that he’ll discuss borders based on the 1967 lines with land swaps,” said one diplomat.
Since the barren talks with Molho last week, the White House has been upping the pressure on Netanyahu. On Friday, Steve Simon, who heads the U.S. National Security Council’s Middle East desk, told American Jewish leaders that Netanyahu needs to reply within a month to the U.S. proposal for restarting talks. The White House knew this remark would both be conveyed to Netanyahu and leaked to the American and Israeli press, thus making its displeasure public.

Evil operates on the assumption that they understand what they are doing wrong is actually wrong, and for that I cannot make the assumption that they understand the error of their ways. I have no hard evidence that they understand the lethal paradox of their actions. He is going to get a whole huge load of people killed with this stunt, probably Americans just the same as Israelis, and he will never understand the error of his ways in so doing.
God help us all, for we will need it in coming months.

The country of Israel was established by a UN charter in 1948. The so-called “occupied territories” were won in an epic battle for survival because Israel was attacked simultaneously by three ARAB countries: Egypt, Jordan, and Syria in 1967…..Israel has already returned land to Egypt (Sainai Peninsula) and has given Gaza over to the PLO…..The West Bank and the Golan Heights have been used as “buffer zones” to prevent another attack by the Arab countries to destroy Israel……make no mistake about it…..the TOTAL destruction of Israel is the ultimate goal, as plainly stated in Hamas’ founding charter……so please tell me how “peace” can be achieved by forcing Israel to surrender it’s security while requiring absolutely nothing from a Hamas-led Palestinan Authority whose sole objective is the annihilation of the State of Israel? Hamas and Fatah have not been required to remove any of the “kill the Jews” language in their own Constitution….so why does Israel have to be “pressured” to deal with them in good faith?

I am certain that myself and many posting here would agree with you concerning Israel if:
A. Any of what you claimed was true about the plight of Palestinians. It is not.
B. Disregard history. Attempts at peace by Israel have been consistently met with rockets and bombs.
C. Fail to realize that Palestinians are led by a terrorist organization that in there own words, want the destruction of Israel.
D. Fail to read enough about Palestine to understand that Jordan, Syria and Lebanon annexed Palestinian homelands.
E. Just suspend logical thinking.
I am sure a lot of us would agree with you if the above conditions are met.

The “Palestinians” are a nomadic tribe of people who purposefully do not govern themselves in sovereignty – it gives them plausible deniability. Without borders, without a central government – these cockroaches can avoid accountability for their actions and cry that “they just want a homeland”. If the cockroaches had declared the borders for their sovereignty when they were just squatting and trashing the land, then Israel would not have formed in its present location. They (you) need to stop crying out for a homeland that they (you) obviously didn’t want before Israel was formed.

If there’s one other military on this planet with the weapons, tech, and experience to rival the US military and with the ability to put a serious hurting on the continental US, it would be Israel. For sure D.C. and most major cities would be very deep, wide, and glowing craters in any such conflict.
It would also not surprise me to learn that the Mosad (Israels’ covert intelligence agency) has had every top countries’ leaders, including ours, literally in an assassins’ crosshairs as close to 24/7/365 as possible for decades, just in case. Our Father planted the tribe of Judah in the land of Israel and that is prophecy (Jeremiah 24). He has no plans on them being plucked up or moved. I would suggest strongly that you not move against the prophecy of our Father, you may want to think of how that worked out for the Jebusites or the Cannanites or Sennacherib who stood at the wall of Jerusalem and spoke evil of the God of Israel. I would suggest caution for a tiny little country who has legions of angels to back it up. Remember what on angel did in one night to Sennacherib’s entire army? You can read about it in 2 Kings 19. In one night the angel of the Lord God of Israel, smote 185,000 of Sennacherib’s fighting men. Thats One night and one Angel (2Kings 19:35), you might want to tiptoe around the State of Israel.

Given Obama’s abysmal congressional support on this matter, it’s beginning to look like the executive branch is bluffing. There is no indication that there is any more available on this subject on the website, or that subscribing to the newsletter would provide additional info.
Though your premise is flawed, the information will flow through in due time. Israel has no overriding reason to keep secrets on what an adversarial power (the Obama administration) is trying to do to them. Officially, or through leaks, the truth will be known soon enough.
You don‘t really believe that Obama is attempting to act in Israel’s best interest, do you? If you don’t, then you are no friend of the only democracy in the middle east. If you do, then you might think about doing a bit more research before you get too crictical with the “analytical” amongst us.

Ludwig lived most of his adult life in Connecticut . Because of that, his SSN begins with the digits 042, which are among only a select few reserved for Connecticut residents.
Obama never lived or worked in that state! Therefore, there is no reason on earth for his SSN to start with the digits 042. None whatsoever!
Now comes the best part! Ludwig spent the final months of his life in Hawaii, where he died.
Conveniently, Obama’s grandmother, Madelyn Payne Dunham, worked part-time in the Probate Office in the Honolulu Hawaii Courthouse, and therefore had access to the SSNs of deceased individuals.
The Social Security Administration was never informed of Ludwig’s death, and because he never received Social Security benefits there were no benefits to stop and therefore, no questions were ever raised.
The suspicion, of course, is that Dunham, knowing her grandson was not a U.S. citizen, either because he was born in Kenya or became a citizen of Indonesia upon his adoption by Lolo Soetoro simply scoured the probate records until she found someone who died who was not receiving Social Security benefits, and selected Mr. Ludwigs Connecticut SSN for Obama.

It is not up to him to decide how Israel should negotiate with the Palestinians, who have shown no inclination to negotiate in good faith in any case. And Obama‘s ’pronouncement before Netynahu’s visit just poured fuel on the fire and encouraged the Palis to be even more intractable.
The Palestinians are subhuman parasites who have been feeding off the generosity of Israel for generations—but in their hatred and their envy of what Israel has built, all they want now is to sweep over Israel like a plague of locusts,slaughter all the Israelis, then steal the results of Israel’s labors. They could have worked like the Israelis did and built something instead of squatting in filth and squalor while they spend all their time trying to figure out how to kill all the Jews so they can steal their land, homes, crops, etc.
Obama and all the other “progressives” quite simply are demanding that Israel commit suicide, and none of them has the right to ask that of any nation, much less our only friend in that part of the world. The question is, what can we do to prevent Obama and the rest of the world from handing Israel into the hands of the savages who surround them?

Posted on June 13, 2011 at 8:54pmConsidering the response Congress gave Netanyahu at AIPAC, this seems outrageous to me. If this is how we treat an ally I am embarassed for my country. Why is it that Israel always comes up with the short straw? I thought that UN Resolution 242 stated that Israel was not the aggressor in the Six Day War of 1967 and therefore could keep lands gained as the victor. So why keep going back to those pre-1967 lines? UN declared Arabs were aggressors against Israel. The land they gained in the Six Days War was theirs. Therefore the borders expanded to include these new acquisitions. Why has that changed??
Another issue is why such preferential treatment is being given to the Palestinians. In 1948 Palestinians were given Jordan…and the Jews, Israel. Since that time Israel has gained lands in wars in which she was not the aggressor. So why is Israel having to give up any lands? One small country observing democracy and allied with the U.S. vs. Arabs wanting ANOTHER Palestinian state in addition to Jordan…amidst many Arab states already in existance. Who is doing this? Is this our President…leader of the free world, ally of Israel, shining example of freedom and justice? This is a disgrace.
Will Congress please stand up to this President? Please represent the people of America, last polled at 65% favorable to Israel and sympathetic to Israel over the Palestinians….because, I believe, Americans understand justice and recognize injustice.

Posted on June 13, 2011 at 9:27pmIt‘s not just that he’s giving a sovereign state ultimatums (not just one ultimatum) on various policies, he is, in the process, dismantling the very idea of national sovereignty, not just for Israel but for the USA too. The truth is, he doesn’t believe in the nation-state model. Why else would he offer the Russians inside info on US missile system “to be friends?” ; to back the international criminal courts,,,, etc…
This is a transparent attempt to blame the Israelis for pulling the rug out from under them in September.

The Bible (Genisis 12 1-3 I believe) says that he who curses Israel will be cursed, and he who blesses it will be blessed. Mr. Obama is wrong for asking Israel to give up what they paid for in blood. And whoever it was that said that if it wasnt for the Arab agression in 1967 they would still have the same borders is absolutly right. I will stand firm with Israel in Gods name, may He bless and watch over them as the rest of the world turns their backs.

Well, they are only speaking for themselves: hopefully, Israel realizes that Obama and his thugs have thrown Israel (our only true ally) under the bus. As an American, I am appalled with our president thinking he’s king of the world; the man is too full of himself. I support Israel and wish I could afford to join Glenn Beck in Israel in August but my budget simply won’t allow it. I pride myself on being fiscally responsible… unlike the DC IDIOTS, as I refer to them. Don’t give up an inch Benjamin. A poll needs to be done to see just how many Americans DO support Israel.

My heart was aching at the illregards Obama had for the Prime Minister. You could visually see Obama’s jaw tightening when he looked at Netanyahyu.

He does not act like a man of Character worthy of representing the people of the USA. On the other hand, I was taken aback by the poise & manners Netanyahu used to answer the presidents tart remarks. I am embarressed by the way the President treats our former allies. It is truely a disgrace to our country & the men that have fought for our freedom. Meanwhile he shows complete apathy as he courts our enemies.
I also heard the Prime Minister speak to congress. Congress (minus Joe Biden) gave him Many well deserved Standing Ovations. Thank God! I was in Awe as he so graciously excused Obamas unthinkable behavior or at least it would be considered unthinkable…if he was standing up for our allies like a US President should, instead he acts with complete disregard for all that we as Americans hold dear- Like our Freedoms & the Constitution.
Point in case, Going to war In March, without the consent of Congress. The refusal to answer congress since April 1st, regarding the purpose, cost, length of war and now Libia & Yaman.
