Rush Limbaugh on his radio show Monday slammed President Obama‘s assertion that America’s business owners are not responsible for what they have built. He also accused the president of plagiarizing Elizabeth Warren who made nearly identical statements previously.

Limbaugh explained Obama and Warren are misguided and believe the government  is “the center of everything,” something he says stands in direct opposition to the principles that America was founded upon.

“Now, a couple of interesting things about this. Let’s look at roads, for example. Which came first, the paved road or the car? Well, which necessitated which? I would submit to you that the car came along, and then the government built the roads. What Obama and Elizabeth Warren want you to believe is that government is the center of everything, that government starts everything. And government doesn’t. Government reacts,” Limbaugh said.

He continued: “It is the market that built cars, it was somebody, it was a bunch of people that built cars. It was a bunch of people who invented the assembly line to make them efficiently and quickly. Government had nothing to do with it… This is a bunch of people with miserable, meaningless lives, lying to themselves, trying to tell themselves that they matter.”

Just to recap, this is what Obama had to say to business owners at a campaign rally in Roanoke, Va. on Friday:

There are a lot of wealthy, successful Americans who agree with me — because they want to give something back.  They know they didn’t — look, if you’ve been successful, you didn’t get there on your own.  You didn’t get there on your own.  I’m always struck by people who think, well, it must be because I was just so smart.  There are a lot of smart people out there.  It must be because I worked harder than everybody else.  Let me tell you something — there are a whole bunch of hardworking people out there.  [Emphasis added]

“I think it can now be said, without equivocation, without equivocation, this man hates this country,” said Limbaugh after playing the Obama clip. “He is trying, Barack Obama, is trying to dismantle brick-by-brick the American dream.”

Limbaugh argued it is Obama’s upbringing that led him to harbor such a radical, leftist ideology steeped in Marxist “class-driven economics.”

“He was indoctrinated as a child, his father was a communist, his mother was a leftist. Sent to prep Ivy League schools where is contempt for the country was reinforced. He moved to Chicago, it was the home of the radical left movement. He hooks up with Ayers and Dohrn, Rashid Khalidi…”

“This is what we have as a president: a radical ideologue, ruthless politician who despises the country and the way it was founded and the way in which it became great,” he concluded.

      This “traitor” had the best three years of my seventeen years in business. I hired 24 people in the last 3 years and we have a hard time keeping up with business. The affordable care act makes no difference to my bottom line and my employees love it. Sorry to rain on your parade but Obama has been great for business. As for me, I‘ll end up paying more taxes after the Bush tax cuts expire but it amounts to next to nothing compared to how much more I’ve made in the last three years.

    I have an illness that has been under control now for quite some time. I have been feeling great by simply exercising, getting proper sleep, taking the right vitamins. Although I am not perfect, I can do everything that the normal person can so. It took some time to get this way….

    However, I will “fundamentally” change what I am doing instead.

      Both statements are equally demagogic and wrongheaded.

      I get Obama’s point, which is that capitalism is only made possible by a certain kind of free society, and by a government at the very least prepared to lay down some ground rules. But why gratuitously insult business people, especially very successful ones? Obama seems as uncomfortable around many business types as Romney is around trailer-park dwellers.

      If Romney means that corporations consist of people–managers, workers, shareholders, etc.–his statement is right but platitudinous. But if he means that some entity such as GE or Wal Mart or Pfizer can claim a 1st-Amendment right to free speech so as to swamp individual donations to political campaigns, then he is surely wrong, even if the courts currently think otherwise.

      No, that is not Obamao’s point at all. Obama is espousing COMMUNISM, not capitalism. His rhetoric is precisely Marxist – he‘s justifying redistributing the wealth from successful businesses to ’the rest of us’ based on collective socialism. (I studied Marx at the University of Chicago, so you know where this is coming from, and Obama is speaking unabashed Marxist communism in his election stump speech.)

Does he suggest that concentration of wealth in ever fewer hands is inevitable under capitalism? Marxist jargon is easily recognizable. I see none of it here.     Yes, heard that and I was sooooo….happy he is saying this stuff. He has said it before but I think today it was even more emphatic. There are so many of us that are so angry and frustrated how the politicians on “our” side won’t “go there”. At least have all the surrogates say it.
    I would like a list of major lies (don’t have room for all) other than the few they have had thus far on ads and then the facts (with proofs) of Obama’s background (such as being a member of the Communist “New Party” in Chicago as was Jarrett), & of his appointees, other advisers. That is not accusations, those are facts and wouldn’t be lying – just stating facts. Then ask something like “Now what do you think their agenda would be if re-elected? We report, you decide.” So many don’t know the Communist/Marxist stuff and they don’t care or understand about the economy/taxes/debt – half don’t even pay taxes. Many are saying they can’t vote for Romney b/c he’s a Mormon. ????!!!!! This other stuff needs to come out. What do you want – an atheistic Communist out to destroy our country or a Mormon who loves this country and would no doubt solve the economic problem & put a stop to the freight train called the Communist Manifesto. A no brainer folks.

There is enough video now on him spouting Communist ideals and beliefs that he could easily be exposed.       Yes I’m amazed at the high degree of intelligence from the Blaze posters. Glenn Beck for President. His intelligence is so much higher than all others. I especially like the part that if you don’t vote my way, you must be a communist, hate God, hate America, hate all things good, and worship the devil. You’re probably a godless muslim too.

      Also, you do realize that all major operating systems (windows, mac os x, linux) were developed by atheists and agnostics right (Bill Gates, Steve Jobs, Linus Torvlads)? So it’s basically impossible to use a computer without using the software that was developed by these atheists and agnostics who are most likely not conservative. How does it make you feel that you are most likely using a machine developed by an atheist or agnostic?

      @ CABALLOS….i’m not really trying to take exception with your statments, but expand up them. Liberals are actually very creative. They do a pretty good job of selling things that don’t work, making up increadible theories and ideas that are contrary to physics, perceptions, and reality. They have lots of idiot people heralding them as genous. They come up with all kinds of crazy ideas, I must say most of their ideas are based on the same old tired left wing formulas.

      I probably think about it the same as you do regarding Judeo-Christian laws upon which our legal system is based, which you are subject to, like laws having to do with killing, stealing etc. It doesn’t bother me in the least.       What makes you think anyone cares about weather or not the big time computer moguls are athiests. Thats their bag. When’s the last time you saw an atheist dragged into church and made to pray. This country is a diverse place where, until O became pres., people lived happily with birds singing, loving one another, and in harmony. Barry brought his concept of hope and change to this country. Now birds are crapping all over everyone’s cars, people hate one another and the harmony is gone.

I can only conclude this, sense you won’t tell me. If so, how silly! If thats what you think. to put it politely, you’re funny and greatly misinformed. You do have a talent, I think you’d be a great writer for Grit Magazine, if they’re still around. Your command of the english language and writing style. It says a lot about you.     Come up with the business or product idea?
    Spend hours researching the market and competitors?
    Spend hours working on and refining the business plan?
    Work your a$$ off raising the money needed to start the business from PRIVATE equity?
    Work your a$$ off building the business, selling products and make payroll?
    Continue to improve the products or services the business offers?
    Did you spend hours, days and weeks away from your family in order for the business to succeed?

    The answer to these and many other similar questions would be No,No,No,No . . .

    You and your cronies were not there and we don’t want you there, we want you to get the he!! out of our way and stop screwing with our lives and livelihoods!!

As a former entrepreneur during the Clinton adminstration, no one came up with any good ideas while my husband and I came up with a way to keep jobs in the USA. What did we get for it? An IRS audit.
