Obama Heckled By Occupy Protesters During NH Speech

President Barack Obama was in for a surprise interruption while speaking earlier today at a New Hampshire high school. The situation started with nothing out of the ordinary. After receiving a welcoming cheer from the audience, the president launched into his address about the U.S. economy.
But before he could get too deeply into the content of his speech, a rumbling came from the audience. This time, rather than a supportive cheer, the Occupy movement’s familiar “human mic” melody could be heard. “Mic check!,” was yelled.
The group then continued their chant with, “Mr. President, over 4,000 peaceful protesters have been arrested…” Before they could get any further into their declarations, the crowd went wild, overpowering the Occupiers with “Obama, Obama, Obama!” chants. Apparently, his supporters also chanted, “Yes We Can!,” the slogan that popularized his 2008 campaign.
In the middle of the chaos, Obama looked on, smiled and appeared to be listening sympathetically to the Occupiers. “No, no, no — it’s okay,” Obama reassuringly told his fans as the room erupted.
“I appreciate you guys making your point,” he then told the protesters. “Let me go ahead and make mine. I’ll listen to you. You listen to me.”

Canada wants to open the tap for a huge supply of oil to America—but we won’t let it.
What if America discovered it had a Saudi Arabia worth of oil under its own soil? It could change global energy politics overnight. At the very least, it would make the United States much less vulnerable to Middle Eastern oil powers.
Guess what? We found that oil—rather, the Canadians did. Reserves are already drilled and measured. And new advances in technology make it ours for the asking. It just needs a way to get to market.
But here is the catch: The oil is trapped in Canadian oil sands and will stay there if we can’t disentangle ourselves from a mess of special interest politicking, bickering and environmental tunnel vision.
The question went all the way to the highest office in the land. But on November 10, President Obama announced he will postpone his decision on the TransCanada Keystone Oil Pipeline until after the 2012 elections. With Obama’s environmentalist base at war with his labor union supporters (who want the jobs), the delay might have been a keen political move—but at the detriment of the oil project.
The Keystone pipeline was to deliver a whopping 700,000 barrels of oil a day—each and every day—for at least the next 50 years—to U.S. refineries in Texas. Read the rest of the article: at

Please….they’re asking Obama to intervene in the arrests. They‘ve already got Obama’s “wink” of approval. I’m married to a Jewish man and raised two Jewish daughters, so I’m not anti-Semitic, and neither are my brothers-in-law who came to participate in Occupy D.C.. I’ve never smoked pot, pay all my bills and probably make more money than you do, so yes, I pay taxes. I also attend Mass regulary and support Social Justice, which is why I can sympathize and support the Occupy protesters. I don’t want to eat the rich, or behead them, but I would like to see them pay more in taxes than they currently do. Since 1980, the income of the top 1% has increased by nearly 300% while average real wages in constant dollars have been stagnant. Bankers and stockbrokers, who produce nothing but live off the commissions of selling money, have gotten richer, while working guys have stayed the same. How is that fair? And guess what, if it continues, the working folks won’t be able to afford to buy the products of the rich corporations, and then where will they be?

@Nonamesleft, Why would I want to become a stockbroker? Money isn’t that important to me, but being useful and helping people has always been important to me. I happen to believe that wealth is created by doing and making things, not manipulating other people’s money. Stockbrokers are a bit like pimps really, they take a commission on other people’s creativity and hard work and keep it for themselves and other investors. I don’t have problems with stockbrokers or pimps, I just wouldn’t want to be one. My way of paying more in taxes is to not take as many deductions as I’m entitled to.
@Ghost, Jesus was talking to the Christian community when he told them “Whatsoever you do to the least of my people, that you do unto me.” But he was talking about a community. You guys are obsessed with Beck’s condemnation of “Social Justice” and “Communal Salvation” you miss the fact that Beck is brainwashing you into loathing group action.
