Obama Makes Return Visit to Sacred Buddha Statue

KAMAKURA, Japan (AP) — President Barack Obama made a return visit to the Great Buddha statue in Japan, noting “I was only 6” the last time he visited the sacred site.

Obama’s visit to the site of the 44-foot-high bronze statue, nestled among the hills and trees at Kamakura, Japan, was the last stop on his 10-day Asian tour that began in India and included Indonesia and South Korea as well as Japan.

The president noted “the first time I was here I was this big,” putting his left hand up to his waist. He walked with two hosts closer to the imposing statue, craning his head upward to view the statue of Amida Buddha. It weighs 93 tons and was constructed in 1252. The Great Buddha is seated in the lotus position with hands forming the gesture of meditation.

    Obalmy or Obummer couldn’t manage a trip to New York to honor the victims of 9/11 but he sure has plenty of time to visit other people’s gods overseas. How typical!

    Our tax dollars at work. Isn’t it wonderful that our failed “president” has the time and the unlimited budget to relive his childhood. Uh, when exactly does this royal vacation end? Where will this loser go next and how much is all of this costing America? It is time to defund our failed “president’.

    Isn’t it funny that people worship statues (idols) that can neither see, hear, talk, walk and are made by the hands of men. Yet somehow they refuse to acknowledge GOD the creator of all things, who holds their very next breath in HIS hands. Take heed, and see if this makes any sense.

      Actually he and his family went to Mt Rushmore on their first vacation while in the White House. What difference does it make what he does – Bush as well as Laura Bush made trips all over the world and no one said a word about it – do you really hate Obama that much?       With all of Obama’s education he cannot be excused for continuing such a failed policy. Even a child knows if something is not working find another way. He continues to spend, even though it is having a negative effect on the economy, and dose not change his strategy. The disrespect and hate is because Obama is following cloward and piven strategy along with a Russian strategy to collapse the US. Everything he’s done and those he associates with lead to this conclusion almost to the letter of the strategy.

      WALKWITHME1966, you must have amsesia or something, Bush was ridiculed for every move he made, that is when he wasn’t being told to kill himself, not to mentiom the cries to impeach him at every turn how quickly we forget. By the way Obama should not only be impeached, he should be charged with treason for all his (and his cabinet’s) anti American activities.

      When you remark on the amount of foreign travel Obammy does to a libturd they always jump up and down and yell bloody murder that ALL U.S. presidents travel. They will never accept that it may be inappropriate to travel so much while the nation is crumbling. How about a teleconference once in a while? Business people do it all the time.
