Obama Meeting Now With Top Democrats to Discuss Debt Limit

President Barack Obama is stepping back into the debt-ceiling talks, calling Congress’ top two Democrats to the White House for a meeting.
White House aides said Obama would receive an update Saturday from Senate Majority Leader Harry Reid and House Minority Leader Nancy Pelosi. The invitation came shortly after the GOP-controlled House rejected Reid’s debt-ceiling proposal in a largely symbolic vote.
The chief negotiations are taking place in the Senate. Reid and his GOP counterpart are seeking a compromise plan that the House and Senate can agree on to extend the government‘s borrowing powers beyond Tuesday’s deadline.
While Speaker Boehner’s debt bill has passed in the House and was tabled in the Senate last night, Reid’s debt bill was rejected in the House and the Democratic leader discovered today that his plan is even several votes shy of overcoming a Republican filibuster in the Senate.

Hold on now, don’t be dissing the Three Stooges. They were good guys. They had class and artistry.

Posted on July 30, 2011 at 4:11pmThis is the last chance for President Obama to come to his senses and be reasonable in finding the solution to this problem of his own creation. This will teach everyone of these leaders to think in terms of the country and not their political ideology alone. The country is sick and tired of their immature arguments, name-calling and divisive politics.

Posted on July 30, 2011 at 4:11pmI almost hope for a default and all the devastation that possibly comes with it. It would be a shame to see the people who actually need the various entitlements bite the dust, but losing the “cradle to grave” freeloaders over the 2-3 months it would take them to implode from actually having to take care of themsleves for once might be worth it.
A 10-15% reduction in the USA’s population would be a big help in setting things right financially. And since they truly amount to nothing more than talking pets we vicariously keep for the sake of that “fuzzy warm feeling” we get for being understanding, tolerant, “good Christians”…I say it is time to cull the herd.

Posted on July 30, 2011 at 4:05pmEveryone be ready for it is about to be unleased from hades itself — I honestly figure the chances now of Mr Obama going for broke and declaring a debt increase on his own authority or some kind of a ‘national fiscal emergency’ decree at 9 in 10.
Admittedly I will probably be proven wrong, and I hope to the heavens above I am wrong; we are on the edge of a crisis generated by the administraiton; an ‘event’ they may use to finish the nation and grab power and control once and for all.
Watch and be prepared, and pray I am wrong.

I would much prefer to bring them down as soon as possible. I think they’ve made the biggest financial mess that any governments ever made in this country for a very long time, and Socialist governments traditionally do make a financial mess. They always run out of other people’s money. It’s quite a characteristic of them. They then start to nationalize everything, people just do not like more and more nationalization, and they’re now trying to control everything by other means. They’re progressively reducing the choice available to ordinary people.
