Obama Now Tells Jewish Audience That Border With Palestine Would Be ‘Different’ Than 1967

WASHINGTON (AP) – President Barack Obama says Israel will face growing isolation without a credible Middle East peace process.
The president told America’s pro-Israel lobby that “we cannot afford to wait another decade, or another two decades, or another three decades, to achieve peace.”
After a contentious couple of days, Obama said Sunday his endorsement of the Jewish state’s 1967 boundaries as the basis for a Palestinian state reflected the urgent need for a two-state solution between Israelis and Palestinians.
He says his call for a future Palestine based on the 1967 borders with agreed land swaps was a public expression of what has long been acknowledged privately.

Obama said he brought the terms out in the open because delay will undermine Israel’s security and peace prospects. He repeated his remarks from Thursday on Israeli-Palestinian borders and security verbatim.

President Barack Obama is trying to assuage some of America‘s fiercest supporters of Israel after he endorsed the Jewish nation’s 1967 boundaries as the basis for a Palestinian state and clashed with Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu.
In a speech Sunday to the American Israel Public Affairs Committee, Obama wasn’t expected to outline another significant U.S. policy shift but probably would focus on the deep U.S.-Israeli alliance.
But almost everyone in the room wanted to see how the president addresses his remarks from Thursday, when he said that a future Palestine should be shaped around the border lines that existed before Israel captured the West Bank, Gaza Strip and East Jerusalem, with land swaps to account for Israeli settlements and other changed conditions.
Obama’s endorsement moved the U.S. position from noting the Palestinian goal for a country based on these terms and leaving the outcome to be settled through negotiation. By removing the nuance, he essentially stated what almost every observer assumed would have to be the border lines of a two-state solution, with mutually agreed adjustments.
Still, the change prompted bitter criticism from Netanyahu. And in a blunt display of differences, the two leaders openly disagreed after a Friday meeting at the White House. Netanyahu called the 1967 demarcation “indefensible” and issued a flat rejection of the idea.
Netanyahu, who will address the pro-Israel lobby Monday and Congress Tuesday, played down the rift.
“The disagreements have been blown way out of proportion,” he told The Associated Press on Saturday. “It’s true we have some differences of opinion, but these are among friends.”
Netanyahu said there should be no doubt about the strength of the American-Israeli relationship and Obama’s commitment to Israel and its security.
Obama was to depart later Sunday for a weeklong European tour aimed at tending to old friends in the Western alliance and securing their help with the political upheaval across the Arab world and the decade-long conflict in Afghanistan.
Obama will visit Ireland, England, France and Poland.
The trip comes amid the continued NATO-led bombing campaign in Libya and a seemingly intractable conflict between Moammar Gadhafi’s forces and Libyan rebels. Talks will also encompass economic concerns, as European countries make stark cuts in public spending and Obama and congressional Republicans try to hash out how to cut spending to bring U.S. debt under control.

President Barack Obama said Sunday that any controversy over his remarks last week that Israel-Palestinian negotiations should start from pre-1967 borders and include land swaps was “not based in substance.”
In his first speech as president to the main American-Israeli lobby group, the American Israel Public Affairs Committee (AIPAC), Obama said his reference to the border issue in a major policy speech on the Middle East “means that the parties themselves – Israelis and Palestinians – will negotiate a border that is different than the one that existed on June 4, 1967,” the eve of the six-day war in which Israel seized the West Bank, Gaza Strip and other territory.
“That’s what mutually agreed-upon swaps means. It is a well-known formula to all who have worked on this issue for a generation,” Obama said to applause. “It allows the parties themselves to account for the changes that have taken place over the last 44 years,” including the new demographic realities on the ground and the needs of both sides.
He later added: “If there is a controversy, then, it’s not based in substance.”

This I do no think has been pointed out (or at least i had not heard much about it from other people) which leads me to believe that most people do not really read revelations, they just read passages that are pointed out to them by others to either fact check them or to make sure that it says it so that they can use the passage for themselves.

I had endured a lot of nasty criticism and was even shunned for a while by my Catholic friends when I turned from Catholicism to Christianity. First response is to try and explain, then cry, then you start to become hardened until someone comes along side of you or you can catch yourself. I know you didn’t mean any harm.

I had just read two books concerning the Crusades. Both came with a bias that was either neutral or even supporting of the Crusades but when I watched the HC version everything was dark sinister and wicked about the Crusades.. Even the Crusaders were themselves were portrayed as fat, very unkempt, unintelligent, basically barbarians! Not one thing they did was ever honorable noble or for just reason.. Watched it all and afterwards I thought strange but ok probably just liberal bias and I moved on.
Next I put in the CD on Islam. Beautiful music began playing, everything was bright, the people all had smiles, they were noble and honorable people, and basically it was just an incredibly wonderful religion of peace.. Now having read about dozen books on Islam I know a lot about the shortcomings of the religion and the barbarity of it; however, none of these points were emphasized. I watched it all and I said to myself let’s see what the HC does with the history of Christianity..
I put in the CD on Christianity and it opens in what appears to be a dungeon… Dark dreary music playing and then comes Priests and his follower all covered in creepy looking gowns and they all looked somewhat unhappy or downright upset about something. Hitler had previously expressed his plans in his book “Mein Kamptf” or “My Struggle”.
Barack Obama has expressed his plan in his book “The Audacity of Hope” and I quote, “ I will stand with the Muslims if the political winds should shift in an ugly direction ”. Unquote ! Why the surprise?

I remember when Israel was granted independence. Up to that point the Jews and Palestineans had been living together in relative peace. It was the Grand Mufti, a former ally of Hitler and the Nazis, and Arabs from other countries that decided Israel had to go. The Palestineans had no choice in the matter. Their Muslim brothers forced them to rise against Israel or simply killed them. The Israelis turned vast parts of the desert into productive farming, built industries to produce the goods to supply their needs and extended their hands to their Arab neighbors in a gesture of peace. The Palestineans lobbed rockets and conducted terror attacks against the Israelis and then cried to the world about how bad they were being treated. They have done nothing substantial to improve their territory or to provide for themselves. As a Christian I have a charitable heart and try to see the good in people, but a people that celebrate the killing of innocents in the name of God do not deserve my sympathy or my charity. God bless and keep Israel and her people.

These are some of the lies and these are my opinion based on my reading of history.
1. Israel wants our troops to fight for them – Wrong, they need no help in that area and oppose it. They want us to stand with them.
2. Israel would fall without our Tax dollars – We are a charitable nation, the money sent to them by our government is wasted in a lot of cases, our govt won’t stop sending money though because they get valuable information and new technology shared back and forth. If the govt. did stop sending them money, Faithful Americans would, again because we are charitable.
3. Not their land is a lie in many ways, even dropping the point that God said so, for the non-believers, it’s their land because they are on it, like USA is our land because we are on it and the only way to get that land is to fight for it, end of story.
Another question I keep hearing is, “Why did so many Jews vote for Obama?” The same question can be asked by conservative Americans, “Why did so many Americans vote for Obama, (whites being the largest number to vote for him btw) then? The answer is same for both – liberalism, greed, sloth, ignorance of history, and corruption.
