Obama Offers Motto Quip: God Wants to See Us Help Ourselves by Passing Jobs Bill

President Barack Obama urged Congress to pass the infrastructure piece of the American Jobs Act Wednesday, assailing the House of Representatives for passing a resolution reaffirming the U.S. motto instead of working on jobs legislation. (AP)

President Barack Obama took a shot at the House of Representatives Wednesday for passing a resolution reaffirming “In God We Trust” as the U.S. motto instead of working to pass portions of his jobs bill.

“In the House of Representatives, what have you guys been debating? John, you’ve been debating a commemorative coin for baseball,” Obama said, referring to Republican House Speaker John Boehner. “You had legislation reaffirming that ‘In God We Trust’ is our motto.”

Delivering a speech in front of a Washington, D.C. bridge that connects the District to Virginia, Obama said instead of reaffirming the motto, God would prefer to have the jobs bill passed.

“That’s not putting people back to work,” Obama said. “I trust in God, but God wants to see us help ourselves by putting people back to work.”

Obama’s speech in front of the Key Bridge was his latest effort to push Congress to pass at least the infrastructure portion of the $447 billion jobs bill.

    Obama’s subterfuge of being a genuine Christian is as phony as his Birth Certificate. Repetatively in the Bible (at least in the Christian Bible) God “demands” Faith, not Works. But why would I expect one of the Islamic faith to know that. Obama is as much a counterfeit Christian as his FORGED Birth Certificate is proof of his U.S. Citizenship.       The birther debate is a speculative one that is full of unknowns and people just making things up. Obama’s Christianity is that of political convenience. He pays lip service to his spirituality but his actions are vacant of Christianity. For him it’s just political lubrication. If he were a tree, he would be one that bears no fruit of spirituality.       I don’t think this President really knows all that much about God. Or for that matter the last Century of Presidents. There was a time not really all that long ago when it was considered immoral to expect employees to work around the clock. And working around the clock contributes to depression, failed marriages and drug abuse. I don’t think God likes it very much, and it’s because of the locusts at the top that it began to happen. You know when it began to happen? When the gates of hell opened up and all the dead got to walk the earth again as human beings. Most people know it as the beginning of the J-curve of population.

      Exactly why is the House spending time “reaffirming” the US motto? That is a purely political waste of time given the jobless problem President Obama is trying to address. Are they next going to reaffirm the bald eagle as the national bird? Anything but discuss a way to put Americans back to work before the election, that’s seems to be the plan.

      Perhaps they should really be debating dropping the word E pluribus unum from the US seal, because that’s obviously something the Republicans do not believe in.

      You can’t earn the grace of God. No matter what you do you remain a sinful human being because NO one is without sin.
      All Sin condemns you to hell, that is the Law, the law is perfect.
      So if that was all you had, there would be chaos, there is no reason to do good because it is futile.
      So here comes the good news! It is Faith alone that permits your salvation. Yes, that is it, Jesus died for your sins.
      But, without good works, faith is dead. It is the faith that leads to good works and demonstrates that faith. Not the other way around. That is it. Not too complicated, but still many choose to not believe, so sad, and many that claim to believe doubt and show that doubt by absence of good works.
      You can choose to deny this, that is a freedom you have, but you won’t escape judgment for that choice, you have time to choose, but you don’t know how much time, it is up to you. You’ve been warned, God tried to save you…

The law of Nations is in article I, section 8, and says if a person is not naturalized, his birth loyalty goes to his dad. Obama’s dad is a british citizen. Obama is a dual citizen, even though born here, and ineligible to be President.

      Sick, I like the expressiveness of your post, but I think it was lacking in a few respects. First of all, your rhetoric is a little overblown: “forever swim in the ocean of Socialist indoctrination”? Nice imagery but over the top, especially given my post on legistlative priorities.       Is that your idea of “critical thinking?” Seriously, are insults your notion of intelligence? I understand that you disagree with me, but why? The “why” is what’s lacking in your post. I just trying to help you with your posts, just as your middle school teacher tried to do (or high school, but I’m not to sure about that).

      AvengeK, the Senate filibustered the bill, they didn’t defeat it. With your friends in office it takes a 60% super majority to pass anything. Our Democracy is no longer “majority rules.” Unless a bill gives more money to the rich, nothing will pass.

      I have an idea, have the legislature spend a few day debating whether they believe America’s got a good flag or not. Then let’s vote to reaffirm that. Then let’s agree that infrastructure like roads and bridges are socialist communal property, and make sure Americans don’t rebuild them.

Both he and the unions do not consider the 91% of Americans in the workforce that are not members of unions as ‘working men and women’. This is just another union payoff. Everything OBonzo does is either to pay off previous votes, or to buy future votes.       The number 2.5 million jobs‘ created or saved’ comes from a formula. The formula comes from a theory. The formula says that for every dollar the government spends, 1.5 dollars’ worth of economic activity is generated, and presto, jobs come out. The economic geniuses working for Obama want us to believe that by definition, since they spent almost a trillion dollars in ‘stimulus’, they automatically created 2.4 million jobs. This is called the multiplier effect.
      The basic idea was that if the federal government prints and borrows money and sends it out, it will be spent, trickle through our economy, saving and creating unknown jobs as it goes. It’s trickle-down economics, Obama-style. The benefit is temporary, because the government has to pay back its debt sometime, or collapse.
      Still don’t believe me ENCIDIOT? Ok..believe Obama’s own “genuises”.
      The White House report of July 3, 2011 makes it explicit:
      The White House’s Council of Economic Advisors, a group of three economists who were all handpicked by Obama, chronicles the alleged success of the “stimulus” in adding or saving jobs.     Obama doesn’t have a clue who God is, what His precepts are, or how God thinks, no one could possibly know anything about that subject unless they were miraculously saved by the grace of God and studied God’s Word. It is easy to identify those people who haven’t when you hear them talk, if you have been yourself miraculously saved by God‘s grace and you have study God’s Word.     Read page 133 of Obama’s Jobs Bill. It get’s rid of all 50 States protection under the 11th Amendment. By law, changing Amendments cannot be done this way but Obama is trying to do it anyways. It takes a 2/3rds vote in the Senate.
