Obama Pitches Japan Aid...While Picking NCAA Tournament

President Obama took a time on Wednesday to implore Americans to send money to Japan. But the setting he used to deliver his pitch was slightly unconventional — he used the sports network ESPN while detailing his picks for the upcoming NCAA college basketball tournament:

The president’s picks prompted somewhat of an “apology” today from Glenn Beck, who joked about the president’s bracket on Tuesday:

I do have to lead with my mistakes.  I did make a mistake yesterday.  I said at least he’s not doing his NCAA bracket for the Final 4.  At least he’s not doing that which he did last year.  As I was saying that on the air yesterday, he was filming his filling out of the brackets that will be aired tonight on ESPN.

    The president’s picks were a divirsion from what? “He’s a serious BB fan”. How about being a serious leader? Continuing budget resolutions, unsustainable national debt, and deficit, middle east pick, and choose policies, and your energy policy of windmills,and solar panels aren’t winners.     The beginning of the delusion was the election of the first black president of the United States, Barack Hussein Obama, and yardstick of the black liberation movement in America.
    As we travel together we have discovered the Obama environment and the friends that have shaped him into something that’s looks a lot like the guy you avoid on a dark street in Chicago.
    President Obama seems to have only two reasons to do anything off the golf course. The political reason and then the black liberation socialist reason make up his entire play book.
    We no longer expect excellence in anything that he says or anything that he does. He spends his time and taxpayer money on imagining some black socialist utopia within some kind of state controlled capitalist system of production and wealth.
    If that sounds confusing to you it also might explain that he cannot lead the orchestra because nobody knows the tune. You have a few thousand black churches preaching some kind of liberation and over half of them are on welfare of government assistance. You have a few million union shop employees and their union leadership wanting more taxpayer funded pensions and higher wages while they use drugs and alcohol during the breaks.
    A lot of voters wanted to trade up to great from good when they elected President Obama. It seems that their dark silver lining had a dark black cloud containing many revolutionary storms.
    As the sky darkens and the harsh storms approach you can watch Obama party in the White House and play golf seemingly putting first things first.
    For the first couple of years we spent a lot of time finding fault with the newly elected King Obama but that proved mostly like taking a shower on a real humid day. You try and get Obama off your back but he’s kind of sticky no matter how much you scrub.
    Obama may think he’s the gift but he’s not the key to anything. The black liberation movement, Democratic Party, union thugs, communist organizations and socialist groups get their leadership from Barack Obama, Nancy Pelosi, Harry Reid, Joe Biden, Hillary Clinton and hundreds of other political, taxpayer supported hooligans.
    If you look further down the Obama Trail you’ll see some great problems that will not be survived by prayer or more taxes.
    Now that the American Republicans, Tea-Party Supporters and other conservatives are considered the enemy, its time that we armed ourselves with improved information and higher standards.
    Thank you for working hard today Mr. President.
    All my family could think about today was basketball.

    This should have not been a surprise! Business as usual. I just wish he would stay the heck out of OUR country when he leaves for his Rio trip. Lock the doors when he leaves! Throw him a few bones to pursuade him to stay out: use of Air Force 1 for the next two years, a paid vacation for him and his family every 3 weeks for the next two years, membership for him and his family at a golf resort (he can choose which), …..!! It will be cheaper for us in the long run!!

If this was 1995, the economy was humming along and there were no obvious global threats on the horizon, I would agree with you.       Where did you do your research?

      I found on the Democratic Party’s website that “Capitalism is the engine that fuels the economy.” If you understand that, why are the Progressives doing everything they can to keep us in a recession, to kill jobs, raise taxes, to make us dependent upon the government, making the dollar lose its value, causing prices to rise and rise and rise, and spend money we do not have? Don’t you understand that the best way to overthrow a government is to first BANKRUPT it?

I really do not want the federal government to control my life, my bathroom, my kitchen, my lightbulbs, my automobile, my residence, my water, my grandchildren’s education, and so on. And, I certainly do not want somebody breathing down my back.

      What was the purpose of the GPS coordinates by the census takers? That’s not a Constitutional requirement, yet they recorded the coordinates and took a picture of my front door. Doesn’t that sound suspicious to you?

      All those “jobs” created by the Stimulus I package, well, now that they have been completed, guess what? The UNION workers are out of work again! The House Republicans are trying to clean up this mess, but they are being cut off at the pass by the Democrats in the Senate. NOTHING that Obama has done in over two years has worked towards improvement of our economy. Things are getting worse. Our dollar is devalued; food and gas prices are skyrocketing. I can’t wait to get my power bill!

      The Progressive Democrats are seeking one thing and one thing ONLY: They want CONTROL over the American people as a whole, not a Republic. You keep hearing, “This is a Democracy!” Well, it is NOT. Did you not pledge allegiance to the Flag of the United States of America, and to the REPUBLIC for which it stands?

      Yes, there are bad eggs in every carton, and some of the Unions didn’t act in order all of the time. But when they give up all monetary demands but want to keep collective bargaining, it’s not about job creation anymore. That should be obvious.

      Rick Scott just turned down money that was going to be used to help create a high speed rail system, which would have created numerous jobs, but what did the governor do? Said, “Nah, we are good. We don’t want that money.” It went to another state, and POOF, there go the job opportunities.

      Hybrid and Electric Car Technology,
      * Better price the replacement cost of the battery before you make that mistake. Clark Howard has a hybrid, and his battery was $8,000. Do you save by paying $8,000 every three years?
      * The increasing energy costs are nudging people back into the urban areas. With a battery-operated car, you have to be able to get to work and home again before the battery dies on the way. I have a real problem with being nudged. Rapid rail requires dense population areas. I would feel like a sitting duck in a densely populated area, wouldn’t you? The people would be easier to control and tax, another nudge. And we would be targets in riot situations.

      Pro-Choice,
      It is not illegal to be pro-choice. The conservatives are demanding that ourTAX DOLLARS not pay for abortions in the United States or overseas.

      Smart Urban Development,
      Why is urban development smart? Wouldn’t it be smarter to take the regressive pressure off our economic functions and let it thrive? That way, people could get jobs, housing, food, and so forth.

      Affordable and Available Health Care,
      The United States has the best healthcare in the world. There are reforms, but we do not need or want the government controlling the medical help that we seek or need. That is, unless you are a union member who wants the tax payers to pay for your healthcare benefits!

      Cheap Affordable Housing in Urban Environments (The Rent is too D@mn High!),
      Again, if the federal government would stop trying to fix what wasn’t completely broken, we would have already be able to afford housing because we would have jobs. That’s the way it is in the Atlanta area, anyway. Chains of stores and complete malls have closed since Obama waved his finger at the economy. The Stimulus pkgs were an admitted failure. Free enterprise has never failed.

      Gay Marriage Rights,
      Gay marriage a right? Our rights are endowed by Our Creator. The purpose of marriage is to raise a family. How can a homosexual have a baby with another homosexual, unless they adopt? You don’t have to be married to adopt.

      Legalization of Marijuana (Tax that heavily and watch the deficit go down)”
      How about enforcing our immigration laws so that the states don’t have to support the healthcare, education, and other benefits that are eating up revenues? That would also make our country a safer place to live. You haven’t heard about the Chinese Military on the other side of the Texas border, have you? Are we about to be attacked? Homeland Security is a freaking joke! That’s the reason I watch the Texas border every night.

      Good for Rick Scott! He has shown some good sense. The rapit rail would put UNION workers to work UNTIL it’s completed. Then what? Nudge-nudge-nudge us to the urban areas. No, thank you. Forget rapid rail until we can get our debt paid. We don’t have the money for luxuries right now. We have to clean up the mess we have already made!

      The government cannot create jobs because the government has no PRODUCT. Manufacturers can create jobs, but the government has to do what’s necessary to bring manufacturing back to the United States. The Democrats ran them out of the country.

I believe alot of dems have a false sense of security with Hussein Obama in office. He’s a dem- he’s their guy. But all the ones I know and am related to have seen our party infested with the cancer of progressivism and have jumped ship. Most have reregistered as independant and some of us have changed into full fledged conservatism. A progressive and a blue dog democrat are almost as polar as a progressive and a republican.

      I am an atheist, so I don’t have to worry about a creator. It’s so freeing to not discriminate against a group of people for archaic reasons.

      And you didn’t really address the legalization of Marijuana. It should be legalized, the “War on Drugs” really hasn’t gotten us anywhere.

      Ummm where does electric come from ? We burn COAL hence where is the true gain for the enviroment. We have more natural gas under North America than the Saudi’s have oil and it is cleaner than both oil and coal, Unfortunately, its just another resource that we just wont touch. I wish we as Americans would put country first, political affiliation second as united we stand, divided we fall. Unfortunately, I dont think that “Medic Alert” will be able to help us from that fall.

      Been there and done that already. Go look at what has been done to those housing. It didn’t last long.
      A liberal progressive agenda will not create jobs to the millions of people who need them. Obama puts $$ into the hands of a few select unions……which then that $$ is put into accts of said union bosses, NOT into jobs. Again, been there done that.
      Or $$ put into infrastructure jobs on roads that has jobs lasting a few months, then when road is done, job is gone.
      Read the history of our country, president by president………..the best financial times were under repub presidents. We do not need nor want progressive (which does NOT stand for progress) nor liberal/communist/socialist government in USA.
      If your government wants to see this country survive and grow…….it would make more sense to just give each adult person a million $$ each and tell them to go and create and fix out problems……then it would get done correctly.

      Electric cars go about 40 miles — 20 miles to work, 20 miles back.
      The battery in the hybrid cars is from $5,000 to $8,000. Are you going to save $2,700 each year in gasoline so you can buy a battery? Wouldn’t you prefer to invest that $2,700 and make a bit of change? How far are you going when you can’t afford the battery? And, that’s for the HYBRID!

      Stimulus I tax dollars are going to fund abortions overseas. Planned Parenthood receives our tax money and uses it for abortions.

      Sorry to learn that. Maybe you don’t worry about a Creator, but how do you know for sure? You are so polar opposite from the vision Our Founding Fathers had for our country that it is a wonder you chose to defend The United States. You are supporting and defending Communism.

      Progressive is the buzz word for Communism today. Obama was (and probably still is) a member of The New Party, which is a Communist party. I have a picture of him that appeared in a newspaper as a member of it.

      Marijuana leads to immoral behavior. Deaths by drunk drivers is bad enough of a problem, particulary by drunk illegal aliens. I do not support demoralization of our citizenry. Drug trafficking spawns crime. Our borders need to be protected, and illegal immigration should be brought to a screeching halt. As far as the revenue from marijuana is concerned, we can save the taxpayers that by limiting the size of the federal government which has grown by one-third since Obama took over, and firing the unconstitutional czars in the process.

      Nothing you listed is constitutionally the federal governments purpose. The state you live in and the citizens in your state have the freedom to deal with these issues as they see fit. I know the fed’s are involved with these issues, but seriously, no matter where you stand on these issues, giving up your responsibility and power to the fed’s only creates waste and corruption. They do not solve problems, never have. Both parties. They create issues to have more money flow through the D.C. trough. They look at issues as a means of getting re-elected not as issues to solve.

      Now, I know there are some trojan horses that come to the Blaze to take cheap shots at our postings,,,but I’m not one of them. I am, without a doubt, a true conservative.

      I don’t know who this moderator is,,,,but I would suspect a ‘trojan horse’ in place at the Blaze. Furthermore, I find it offensive to be called a “sick freak” for making conservative comments on a conservative blog with fellow conservatives. You, also, should be offended because it give a strong indication that you are included in the ‘sick freak’ label.

      I thought you should know why, maybe, some of your well written pieces MAY be disappearing.

      We ALL need to complain to the Blaze,,,,,about having a liberal censuring conservative voices on a conservative blog. This is sooo far out of line that it ‘reeks.’ They need to be informed about what is happening.

      HINT to the READERS…. in the lower left hand corner of the pages is a “HAVE A TIP?”…..you can voice your discontent about what is occuring,,,,unless you like having your thoughts censured to liberal standards.

      First, regards to both of you for your postings on this site. I read your responses often and agree with you on many issues.

      I rarely post though but felt it necessary in this case to defend The Blaze. You will note that the moderator utilized quotes around “sick freak”. She did so because Glenn Beck often jokingly calls himself and his listeners “sick, twisted freaks” on his radio program. I am quite sure no offense was intended by The Blaze. Of course, we conservatives can only be deemed sick freaks for listening to anything Beck has to say. : )

      Understood,,,,but truth of the matter is,,,,,last week a Blaze article showed up where a ‘union thug’ assaulted a camera operator. I gave information who that union thug was,,,,,,a local teamsters president.

      That article was promply removed……..so there is something more going on at the Blaze that we don’t know,,,,I suspect a moderator who is ‘overmodulating.‘ I questioned the Blaze about why it was removed and that ’sick freak’ comment thing was my reply.

      I read the Blaze daily. I like what the Blaze is, stands for, and the comments from fellow conservatives. I even, sometimes, laugh at the prog-trogs’ comments that come in. The world in on a destructive path and we all should have a voice in what is happening around us. Censuring ligimate comments is not part of that process and is an example of the prog-trogs tactics, not conservatives.

      But I will continue to frequent the Blaze and further hope that the Blaze staff see what is happening to some of the posts.

      Im going to say it b/c no one else has… this guy is dangerous! I dunno what it is he is up to but never in my life have I seen a pres this disconnected with reality and the country. Its as if he has an agenda and doesnt care what is going on. He is focused on whatever it is and it cant be good. He is silent on every major event domestic and international. When he has spoken up on issues its usually after the fact or in support of the wrong “side”.

      @ silentwatcher i have defended the blaze editing policy in the past even after getting the same explanation letter you received BUT NO MORE… i made a post suggesting we send senator Lisa Murkowski, a polite letter (and i used the word polite) reminding her what Conservative values are and how we think she should vote on the taxpayer funded abortion issue…. AND IT WAS DELETED… there was nothing offensive about the post, or wrong with the idea we should speak our mind to elected officials (some even claim they want to hear from those they represent)

      the blaze editors have gone off the reservation…

      Silentwatcher – It happens. On the Obama March Madness piece I posted a comment: “You have gotta be ”crapping” (insert a similar word) me”, and the post disappeared. We are passionate about our beliefs so our words are important to us. There are others that don’t view what we post in a similar manner. The best we can do is go with the addage, “grin and bear it”, nad move on.

      Think about it – when you elect a guy that voted the majoirty of times in the IL senate as “Present”, what kind of decision maker did you expect as a president. Jay Carney confirmed his Present vote today when asked about the no-fly zone. Many more of those over the last two years. ABO in 2012!
