Obama: ‘Professional Politicians’ Understand Debt Crisis Better Than General ‘Public’

Obama: Professional Politicians Understand Debt Crisis Better Than General PublicAccording to President Obama, “professional politicians” understand the debt crisis better than average Americans do.

Citing a poll in which 69 percent of Americans oppose raising the debt limit, CBS news reporter Chip Reid asked Obama if the problem was that he and others had “failed to convince” the American people that “we have a crisis here.”

The President responded:

“Let me distinguish between professional politicians and the public at large. You know, the public is not paying close attention to the ins and outs of how a Treasury auction goes. They shouldn’t. They’re worrying about their family, they’re worrying about their jobs. They’re worrying about their neighborhood. They have got a lot of other things on their plate. We’re paid to worry about it.”

Thanks for clearing up what a professional politician is Obama. Geez, I was just too darn stupid to figure it out I always thought that the “professional politicians” were paid to carry out what policies the American people want. I sure am glad we have you and them other “professional politicians to help out all of us dummies (the public). You know bettter, right?

I guess the only excuse I have for being so dumb, is that my Daddy (who fought in WWII) always taught us that in the United States of America it is always WE the people – and never WE the government. Like I said, thanks for setting me straight on this, And I am sure that the rest of the dumb, dumb “public” is grateful for your keen insight.

Of course we dummies can`t understand the complexities of spending more than we take in, we would go bankrupt! Further more, we can figure out how to use turbotax – unlike most career politicians. And,by the way; has anyone other than me noticed that all of our professional politicians are talking social security and medicare cuts, which by the way; do have incoming funds. Now where is welfare and medicaid in this discussion – here`s a hint(no one on it pays in a dime)

Booger71, there actually WAS an amendment running through the ratification process around 1811 or so that would have forbid anyone holding a title of nobility (which a barrister is considered) from being an United States citizen….which, of course, would have eliminated the idea of any attorneys ever holding office. Unfortunately, the War of 1812 kinda sidetracked it…even though some evidence is there that sufficient numbers of states did ratify it. Oh well…such is America in the hands of the professional politicians.

Actually, I think the public has a better understanding than the politicians as them politicians have gotten us into the debt mess and career politicians have had no reality in how to deal with the outcome of their spending for many decades.

Seems the public is facing the fallout as well the repercussions and have a much better footing in the foundation of reality to such outcome than those in the “no sense zone” known as the Washington beltway.

Seems Obama needs to get off the high and might tower and join the perspective of the common folk so they might get a better perspective of reality. In fact I would advocate such career politicians be booted out so just maybe some common sense citizens could do better, because no one is going to do any worse then the professional politicians have already.

Yes, isn‘t Obama’s logic lovely? I think that politicians, contrary to Obama’s way of thinking, are complete idiots. Honestly, it can’t be that hard to figure out that when you spend more than you have, that spending even more than you have is not the solution; the solution is to cut back on spending and reform whatever bad habits led to spending more money than you take in. For the general public, it’s common knowledge; almost like tying your shoe. For politicians, it seems to be some sort of complex calculus problem that they are unable to solve. It‘s sad that they’re our leaders; it’s even sadder that people actually elected them.

You can’t just make a deal that makes both sides look like they fought for their constituents to the bitter end and then came to compromise at the last moment…all while laughing it up and slapping each other on the back. It doesn’t work that way anymore. We are paying attention and we are going to hold our rep’s feet to the fire. No more compromise. Compromise got us into this mess.

Yes obama, you are paid to worry about our debt and how out of control it is. You are NOT paid to make it worse just so that you can say that you have your own “bank” called the “bank of the backs of the people”. This is the bank where you make it legal to STEAL our money from us and then tell us we are too stupid to appreciate you stealing it from us. How about if we get together and we can pay for your ticket back to whatever country you are from so that you can openly practice your muslim religion. We might even promise you that we will send you a couple of hundred thousand dollars a month for you to live on. This would be cheaper on us and make this country more free, of course you would have to sign an agreement that you would NEVER return to America ever again for any reason. Perhaps you could go to where your brothers’ shack is and you could build a great big mansion right next to him so that whenever he looks outside his shack he can see your mansion and that would give him something to dream about that just maybe some day he might be able to achieve and get to at least see the inside of a mansion some day before he dies.

Another thing obama. A lot of these people that you put down as being too stupid to understand debt and how to correct it are business people that deal with it every day to keep their businesses from going bankrupt. These same people are the ones that know and understand debt and how to fix it better than you could ever begin to know. If you truly wanted to fix the debt, you would be utilizing their knowledge to fix the debt instead of trying to steal them blind and trying to cause them to go bankrupt through your ignorance and your hatred of people knowing more than you do as they do what they can to keep you from being succussful and killing this country with debt and loss of our freedoms.
