Obama Raises His Voice, Scolds Reporter During Immigration Speech (With Video)

President Obama got into a heated exchange with a reporter during an afternoon speech outlining his administration’s new immigration policy.

The president, on two occasions, scolded a man who had interrupted Obama’s speech with a question. Obama raised his voice and pointed his finger.

Fox News has identified the reporter as Neil Munro of The Daily Caller. The New York Times media reporter, Brian Stelter, got reaction from Tucker Carlson, head of the Caller. Carlson defended his reporter:

A seemingly frustrated Obama did not take questions once done.

UPDATE: The reporter involved has issued this statement, via the Daily Caller:

“I always go to the White House prepared with questions for our president. I timed the question believing the president was closing his remarks, because naturally I have no intention of interrupting the President of the United States. I know he rarely takes questions before walking away from the podium. When I asked the question as he finished his speech, he turned his back on the many reporters, and walked away while I and at least one other reporter asked questions.”

      The GOP Leadership Gave Its Approval In Advance.

      The GOP is not saying how they will stop this illegal and unconstitutional decree but how it will be policed and how we can live with it. I suspect that the GOP leadership was consulted about this Amnesty and gave their approval.

In fact, just last week he took questions after giving a speech at a PRESS CONFERENCE. But then again, you can’t expect Blazers to actually remember what happened a week ago.       Most people think he is doing this to get more Hispanic votes.

      His intent is to water down white population percentages and thereby reduce the white power structure; however, the burden of having additional legal workers will reduce the number of jobs available to blacks, so it is they who will feel the brunt of this underhanded scheme.

      The President of the United States has, and has always had, the right to make a statement of his position to the American people. Regardless of an American’s opinion of the President, he’s always been afforded that right.

      But this is the Tea Party generation, where someone becomes a hero by breaking all formality and shouting out “you lie” during a State of the Union address. The new TP view if that the more you violate rule of allowing someone to speak, the more people applaud. If you violate someone’s right to speak without interruption, you are a God. A God of the rabble, the crude and the ignorant.

      Okay, that’s the way the Tea Party wants it. But did you notice the title of this thread? It says the President “raised his voice” and “scolded” this person for loudly interrupting to give an opinon on a subject completely outside what the President was talking about. He “raised his voice” and “scolded” the guy? This guy has a right to interupt the President, but the President has no right to respond?

      This is what is so pathetic about you people. You cheer on the President being interupted, but you think it‘s wrong that the President couldn’t respond to this guy in a civil, if forceful way.

      soros hasn’t been able to get his newly purchased company Diebold (who make all the voting machines) to make a Teleprompter that delivers prepared responses to reporters in real time.
      That being the case, Soros simply has to have his Diebold programmers insert code to change the vote.

      Yes, the President of the United States gets a certain amount of respect due the position.

      It was a topic the Founding Fathers actually disputed. They wanted respect, but did not want the position to similar to that of the king.

      Here in lies the problem. We now have a president that is taking action more like a king, and less like a president that acts within the authority of our constitution.

      While I am not a fan of President Obama, I do however respect the office he holds. I believe the interruption was ill timed and probably rude, to anyone, not just the president.
      President Obama has once again acted as a dictator while being the leader of a Republic that relies on due process with a system of checks and balances. The content of the speech may or may not hold merit and any action to the contents should be PROPERLY decided by the representatives of the PEOPLE, NOT President Obama.
      Obama’s lack of respect of the American people and the foundations of this country, are likely the cause of the disrespect he himself experiences. He is NOT a president of the people of the United States. He has divided our nation as few before have, and the really sad part is that he is either totally ignorant of the effect he has on the nation, or doesn’t care, OR this is intentional sabotage.

      That’s true TriOx, but CA isn‘t the only state that that’s true in, MA is another one that recently passed that law, as did a fair number of other typically “blue” states. It‘s a thing that the Dem’s have been pushing for for a while now, and their goal is to get enough of the “blue” states to pass this law, requiring that if the national popular vote goes to one person, no matter who the winner was for your state, your state electoral votes will automatically be forced to go for whoever wins the “popular” vote. I believe that IL is also one of those states that passed that law. Look it up, I can’t remember exactly what it is called.

      I have to agree that the president should not have been interrupted, and I for one hope this does not set a president for future presidential speeches and functions. Regardless of party affiliation.

      What happened to answering questions about controversial decisions(especially one done via EO) with sound and logic to try and sway the other side. Making speeches without ever actually answering direct concerns with appropriate responses is nothing more than political rhetoric. Simply saying this is right because POTUS says so does not refute VALID concerns.

      The bigger question is how can a thinking American citizen hear a President stating he was going to by-pass the rule of law and by-pass the Constitution seperation of powers to arbitrarily change immigration laws….AND THE ONLY PROBLEM THEY SEE IS SOMEONE INTERRUPTING THE PRESIDENT WHILE HE STOMPS ON THE LAWS AND THE CONSTITUTION.

      Have you ever heard the saying, “You get what you give”??? Well, the President routinely treats EVERYONE with total disrespect: the Supreme Court Justices at a State of the Union Speech, the dressing down of Paul Ryan over his budget proposal in front of a room full of people . . . . there are many more examples!!! And you have the audacity to be outraged because a report was FINALLY doing his job??? The media has been deaf, dumb and blind since this man announced he was running for office, and when one of them FINALLY has the brass ones to ask a hard question, the POTHUS looses his cool! I say, “Welcome to the real world in the United States of America where we ask tough questions and EXPECT honest answers, Mr. President.” This is EXACTLY what the news media should have been doing from Day One . . . it is THEIR job to ask the hard questions and give the truth, the whole truth and nothing but the truth to their readers/listeners!!!!

      When I first heard of this happening, I thought the same thing – that the reporter shouldn’t have interrupted the President.

      But then I saw the tape again. The guy asked a question. Obama got upset. The guy shut up at that point. Obama finished his comment. And then Obama came back to the reporter and started it up again. What a bone-headed thing for Obama to do! He asked for it at that point.

      Obama is a thin-skinned politician. Sorry, but he just is. He was this way with Jan Brewer, he was this way Bibi Netenyahu, and he’s been this way with other reporters, too. Heaven forbid anyone ask him a tough question. He’s likely to wet himself first, then proceed to scold and lecture the questioner.

      I am only commenting about not being able to take the heat — that‘s why I can’t understand why this president wants another four years. He seems to dread anwering questions sometimes. He said he’d have preferred the reporter wait until he was finished. When he was finished he turned around and left. So what other reporters who behaved and didn’t interrupt missed the chance to ask a question? It’s almost like you HAVE to interrupt to get your question in before he takes off. I think Obama’s mainly pissed at him because the reporter asked a question in the first place when Obama hoped to get out of there without ANYONE getting to ask a question. What the hell’s the point of inviting all the reporters there? Just do it from the Oval Office!!! I suppose there would be hell to pay if a good chunk of reporter’s blew off Obama press conference, figuring, “what the hell, he’s not gonna take any questions anyway.” Why does he want the job for another four years when he seems to have so much trouble speaking without a teleprompter (a thingamajig for the furnace???? — what the hell WAS he referring to??) and then wants to dodge questions? Yeah he answers questions sometimes, but are THOSE questions GIVEN to the reporters to ask?? Doesn‘t he realize four more years means four more years of dodging the press’s questions and stumbling over your words when you don’t have the teleprompter?
