Obama Repeats ‘Fair Share’ Call to Pay Down the Debt, Fund Jobs Bill

President Barack Obama repeated his call Saturday for all Americans to “pay their fair share” to narrow the nation’s deficit and fund his jobs bill.
Laying out a preview of the debt reduction plan he’ll present to Congress next week, Obama said during his weekly address that the $447 billion American Jobs Act “will not add to the deficit. It will be paid for.”
“On Monday, I‘ll lay out my plan for how we’ll do that — how we’ll pay for this plan and pay down our debt by following some basic principles: making sure we live within our means and asking everyone to pay their fair share,” Obama said.
The debt reduction plan aims to cut the deficit by about $2 trillion over 10 years. Obama is making his proposal to a special congressional committee that has been charged with lowering deficit by $1.2 trillion to $1.5 trillion.
“But right now, we’ve got to get Congress to pass this jobs bill,” Obama said.
The president has repeatedly called for the wealthiest Americans to face higher taxes with fewer loopholes.
“The No. 1 issue for the people I meet is how we can get back to a place where we’re creating good, middle-class jobs that pay well and offer some security,” he said.
In the Republican address, Rep. Peter Roskam of Illinois called on Obama to reduce regulations on businesses, saying government agency rules were choking off hiring.
Washington has become a red tape factory, with more than 4,000 rules in the pipeline — hundreds of which would cost our economy more than $100 million each annually,” Roskam said.
He acknowledged Obama’s decision to scrub an EPA-backed clean-air regulation that aimed to reduce smog.
“He can cancel more,” Roskam said.
He pressed Obama to push the Democratic-controlled Senate to adopt House Republican initiatives, including legislation that would give Congress veto power over certain high-cost regulations.
“Job creators should be able to focus on their work — not on Washington’s busy-work,” Roskam said.

Under Sec.376, States receiving any Federal funding whether Medicaid, Medicare, Tuition, FEMA, etc. will now surrender its Sovereignty under this new Jobs Bill. Surrendering Sovereign Immunity allows states to be sued by anyone recognized by the Federal Government. Interesting that Hilda Solis has been advocating the rights of illegals and now this Jobs plan forces states to yield its sovereignty to be sued. It is also likely Labor Unions could invoke this requirement to supersede Right to Work and force unionization of state agencies and businesses. Is this a Jobs Bill or a Bill to expand Federal power via DOJ, DOL, and others members of the Federal Family?

The wealthiest 1% of AMERICANS pay more than 70% of the taxes now, the middle class pays the other 30% while the poor pay nothing. Hmm, so to be fair, each group needs to pay 33%. So lower the taxes for the wealthy, and make the poor pay their share. Oh, but wait they are your base, at least the blacks and libs that are poor are.

After reading it, carefully, I sat down and figured out what would happen in my personal, corporate and family life if Mr. Cain’s plan went into effect.
Now …
After charitable and mortgage interest deductions, I now pay 9%-10% personal income tax.
The company doesn’t pay any tax, because there is not supposed to be profit at the bottom of double ledger balance sheets.
There is no national sales tax now.
Then …
Mr. Cain’s plan would cost every member in my family an additional 9% in sales tax on everything we purchase.

Posted on September 17, 2011 at 10:30amWould someone please define “fair”? I submit that it cannot be done to everyone’s satisfaction. What is fair to me won’t be to the next person most likely. Because it is a highly subjective concept, it (in my opinion) must be defined by a source outside of the equation or at the least a mutually agreed upon standard. The ultimate source outside of humanity is of course God, but the atheists and Obama might object…the mutually agree upon standard should be the Law or in our case the Constitution but again the anarchists and Obama might object. What to do? what to do? I know! Let’s ask Obama what to do…not!

Posted on September 17, 2011 at 2:24pmI have been suggesting “Knapp’s Workers Right to Vote Initiate” to my lawmakers, sent it to Bill O’Reilly and Glenn Beck, no one has appointed me a position yet. But I keep hoping.
Basically, we have a population who has “Representation Without Taxation”. My Initiative would not allow able-bodied, working age people, who have received government assistance within 12-months of an election, the right to vote. If they cannot figure out how to take care of themselves, take advantage of training programs, or re-locate to an are that has need of their job skill, they should not be voting and telling others how to live.

Maybe something that people can actually buy. Maybe a novel idea would be to subsidize some of the manufacturing that China is taking away by subsidizing their companies and keep those jobs here, some tax would certainly be better than no taxes at all. Instead of paying unemployment benefits, pay employment benefits. Instead he is regulating those companies to death and chasing them offshore, he is our worst enemy.
