President Barack Obama and Republican rival Mitt Romney each released statements Sunday afternoon calling the shooting at a Sikh temple near Milwaukee “tragic” and “senseless.”
At least six people were killed when a gunman opened fire at a Sikh house of worship in Oak Creek, Wis. on Sunday morning. The suspected shooter was later shot and killed by a police officer.
In his statement, Obama said he and first lady Michelle were “deeply saddened to learn of the shooting” and said the country “has been enriched by Sikhs, who are a part of our broader American family.”
“Michelle and I were deeply saddened to learn of the shooting that tragically took so many lives in Wisconsin. At this difficult time, the people of Oak Creek must know that the American people have them in our thoughts and prayers, and our hearts go out to the families and friends of those who were killed and wounded. My Administration will provide whatever support is necessary to the officials who are responding to this tragic shooting and moving forward with an investigation. As we mourn this loss which took place at a house of worship, we are reminded how much our country has been enriched by Sikhs, who are a part of our broader American family.”
Romney said he and wife Ann were extending their “thoughts and prayers to the victims” and called the shooting “a senseless act of violence and a tragedy that should never befall any house of worship.”
“Ann and I extend our thoughts and prayers to the victims of today’s shooting in Wisconsin. This was a senseless act of violence and a tragedy that should never befall any house of worship. Our hearts are with the victims, their families, and the entire Oak Creek Sikh community. We join Americans everywhere in mourning those who lost their lives and in prayer for healing in the difficult days ahead.”
Wisconsin Gov. Scott Walker (R) also released the following statement:
“While the situation in Oak Creek continues to develop rapidly, we are working with the FBI and local law enforcement. I became aware of the situation late this morning and continue to receive updated briefings.
Our hearts go out to the victims and their families, as we all struggle to comprehend the evil that begets this terrible violence.
At the same time, we are filled with gratitude for our first responders, who show bravery and selflessness as they put aside their own safety to protect our neighbors and friends.
Tonette and I ask everyone to join us in praying for the victims and their families, praying for the safety of our law enforcement and first responder professionals and praying for strength and healing for this entire community and our state.”

Posted on August 7, 2012 at 2:41pmBut Obama has shown that the ability to refrain from jumping to conclusions–even when they’re obvious–is in his behavioral repertoire. When the Fort Hood terrorist went on his murderous rampage, he was screaming “Allah Akbar.“ But here is what Obama said ”This morning I met with FBI Director Mueller and the relevant agencies (He couldn’t say that Homeland Security was there, it would identify the shooting as terrorist in nature) to discuss their ongoing investigation into what caused one individual to turn his gun on his fellow servicemen and women. We don’t know all of the answers yet, and I would caution you against jumping to conclusions, until we have all of the facts.”
The Army report on the shooting didn’t mention Islam.
The government classified the incident as “workplace violence,” not terrorism.
Of Islam Obama said “I consider it part of my responsibility as President of the U.S. to fight against negative stereotypes of Islam wherever they appear.”

Posted on August 7, 2012 at 2:31pmAfter the Wisconsin shooting Obama said “We don’t know full what motivated this individual to carry out this terrible act. If it turns out, as some early reports indicated, that it may have been motivated in some way by the ethnicity of those attending the temple, I think the American people immediately recoil against those kinds of attitudes.” Once again, not knowing the facts, Obama is quick to put a racial spin on the tragedy.

Posted on August 7, 2012 at 2:26pmWhen Travon Martin was killed Obama didn’t express confidence in the legal system or ask people to be calm and let the process play itself out. Instead, he inflamed passions by saying that, if he had a son, he would look like Travon. When the Black Panthers put a bounty on Zimmerman’s head, the Obama administration did nothing to stop this illegal act. Obama acted more like a community organizer than a President.

Posted on August 7, 2012 at 2:22pmWhen there is a white villain, Obama has a habit of jumping to racial conclusions or inflaming the situation. After the Conn. cop incident Obama said “Now I don’t know, not having been there and not seeing all the facts, what role race played in that (but he’ll speculate anyway). But I do think it’s fair to say..that the police acted stupidly…what I think we know separate and apart from this incident is that there’s a long history in this country of African Americans and Latinos being stopped by law enforcement disproportionately. That’s just a fact…race remains a factor in society…and that‘s why I think the more we are working with local law enforcement to improve policing techniques so that we’re eliminating potential bias, the safer everyone is going to be.” The chief law enforcer in the country, admitting he didn’t have all the facts, threw the white cop under the bus and suggested that the federal government was needed to protect minorities from local law enforcement.

Why would the MS(fake-conservative)M ONLY REPORT ON TWO presidential candidates?

How, please enlighten us. It may be senseless but Obama made a statement but the Blood Bath at Aurora did not remind him of how Americans enrich America. Why is this called a Blood Bath but Aurora is called an incident? Things will be better in America the sooner Obama leaves office in January.

Posted on August 5, 2012 at 6:39pmWow Muffy, that’s some Grade A nonsense. How “Americans enrich America”? Are you really that desperate to find something to fault the president on?
In Obama’s official statement, he mentioned several times that the Aurora shooting was a “tragedy,“ not just an ”incident.” He also said: “We do know what makes life worth living. People in Aurora loved and were loved.”
What he didn’t say was that “Americans enrich America,” because that just sounds dumb.

Everyone is delighted about this but then they reported that Zimmerman was a white male too. Iraqi are white people too. Maybe we will not discover that the “white male” was a Suni sect Muslim. Now that the FBI has arrived to sweep away the evidence, and sanitize the crime scene we can move on to weeks of anti-gun attacks on the TEA.
