Obama Says Republicans Are ‘Licking Their Chops’ Over High Gas Prices

During an address on Thursday, President Barack Obama explained his belief that Republicans see rising gas prices as a political opportunity and thus, are “licking their chops.” He also maintained that Republicans’ “three-point plan“ to solve the problem of rising gas costs will simply be to ”drill” and drill some more.
“Only in politics do people root for bad news,” he said.
“You can bet that, since it’s an election year, they’re already dusting off their three-point plan for two dollar gas. And I’ll save you the suspense: Step one is to drill and step two is to drill. And then step three is to keep drilling.”

But this president feels yet again to blame someone else other than his failed foreign policies which have made this nation weak in the face of growing enemies worldwide. If gas prices continue for much longer at this high rate, we will see food even further sky rocket. The other day it was announced that a barrel of WEST TEXAS CRUDE cost $106 per barrel. The last I heard West Texas was part of the USA. So WHY does oil from THIS country sells at exactly the same price as is does from the middle east?
I’ll even answer the question for you. ALL oil companies are part of OPEC so no matter where the oil is retrieved from below ground it is part of the world supply and therefore sells at world prices. It might also be interesting to note that oil is one of this country’s prime exports.
EXACTLY what will happen to the oil in the XL pipeline once it reaches the INTERNATIONAL TRADE ZONE in Texas? It will go on the OPEN WORLD MARKET! No lower gas prices here in the uSA – but greater profits for the oil companies while the central part of the USA runs all the risks of spills!

High energy costs are part in parcel of the Obama brain trust overall game plan. He let it slip a long time ago during an interview that “under his plan enegry proces will necessarily skyrocket”. I remember this fool saying that (referring to the Cap and Trade bill) and wondered why no one in the media at that time did not follow up with that crazy policy stance.
We are not a small nation like most of the Euro countries…it takes days to drive across the country not hours….low fuel costs are vital to the nations economic well being. Just about everything we take for granted has to be trucked in or arrives by rail container. This man is crazy, period.

Posted on February 23, 2012 at 7:59pmObama would know about “licking chops over high gas prices.” Remember when gas prices sky-rocketed all the way to $1.90 under Bush Obama called Bush a poor leader for allowing that to happen. pelosi chastised Bush for those unbelievably high gas prices of $2.00/gal and they both said Bush allowing gas to get that high is what was ruining the economy. Now at almost $4/gal Obama says “don’t blame me for gas prices.” What a tool this guy is.
