Obama Speaks Out Again: Public Workers Should not be ‘Denigrated’ or ‘Vilified’

Addressing the nation’s governors today in Washington, President Obama targeted state chiefs who have sought to balance their budgets through weakening unions and curbing employees’ benefits, insinuating that doing so is demonizing workers.
The comments are the second time Obama has weighed in on the unrest across the country after several governors have taken a touch approach with public employee unions. And while he didn’t overtly mention “attacks” on unions as he did last time, he did scold those governors forced to make tough choices to plug astounding budget gaps:
“I don’t think it does anybody any good when public employees are denigrated or vilified or their rights are infringed upon,” the president said.
Those remarks came on the same day that Wis. Gov. Scott Walker told AWOL state senate Democrats that unless they returned and voted on his emergency budget bill, he would be forced to start laying off workers.
Speaking in La Crosse, WI on Monday, Walker said the state faced “dire consequences” unless the 14 state senators return from their nearly two weeks away. His comments came as he planned to deliver his two-year budget plan in the state Assembly chamber Tuesday afternoon. He has said that plan will help make clear why the collective bargaining concessions he is seeking from public employees are necessary to help plug a $3.6 billion shortfall.
Walker explained that he will start issuing layoff notices to state workers as soon as this week if the bill isn’t passed, but he hasn’t said who would be targeted.

The Governors have to tough job of making things work in their states need his support, not his wrath.
The problem is Mr. President as well as all the left followers just will not except reality. They have for so long had handouts and bailouts that they think it is their “right” to be supported by another’s labor.
It is time for them to learn that we all must be responsible for ourselves and families. There are more people who do not support the unions/leftest/communist/socialist that there are who do. It is simple. Time to take back America from those who have their hand out or should I say hand in my pocket.
I have no problem helping the needy. God himself has instructed us to do so. But he also said is a man will not work let him not eat. That’s plan and simple. The leftest MOB/UNION mindset that has poisoned the workforce has out lived it’s usefulness. If I am the employer it is my right to deem what I am willing to pay and what benifits I am willing to provide. NO MORE MOB/UNION BULLIES!
Yes there will blood spilled over this but it has to be done. Pray that all will see the light before its to late.

This guy kills me NOT ONE WORD I have heard, from him about the attacks on people who oppose the union and are physically attacked.

We work and take care for our selves and take care to save for our own future with out taking tax payer money.

She has a deputy warden (they each have secretaries) and two….wait for it…….assistant deputy wardens whom each have….yes….their own secretaries!! I believe the assistant deputies must assist the deputy warden but nobody has ever witnessed any real work being done. Hard worker gets the same raise as the slacker. The pay system is set up in a way that it gives no one an incentive to work hard. I always try and remember that I work for God and that everything is done honestly and to the best of my ability (although I fail miserably at times as a human being). Unions and gov’t have been destroying business & work ethic for too long in this country. It‘s time to do some trimming of union and Gov’t control with a chainsaw.

Walker’s office issued this statement:
“I’m sure the President knows that most federal employees do not have collective bargaining for wages and benefits while our plan allows it for base pay. And I’m sure the President knows that the average federal worker pays twice as much for health insurance as what we are asking for in Wisconsin. At least I would hope he knows these facts.
“Furthermore, I’m sure the President knows that we have repeatedly praised the more than 300,000 government workers who come to work every day in Wisconsin.
“I’m sure that President Obama simply misunderstands the issues in Wisconsin, and isn’t acting like the union bosses in saying one thing and doing another.”
