Obama Takes on Birthers: I Was Born in U.S…And I Don’t Have Horns

In an interview with President Barack Obama today, ABC’s George Stephanopoulos had the chance to discuss the birther controversy with the president.

Here is how Stephanopoulos described the interview:

I thought the president would take a pass when I asked him about Donald Trump’s rise to the top of the Republican field in my exclusive interview today.

Far from it.

He grabbed at the chance with a big smile – saying he thinks the whole issue will be a problem for Republicans.

“I think that over the last two and a half years there’s been an effort to go at me in a way that is politically expedient in the short-term for Republicans. But [it] creates, I think a problem for them when they want to actually run in a general election where most people feel pretty confident the President was born where he says he was, in Hawaii. He– he doesn’t have horns…we’re not really worrying about conspiracy theories or– or birth certificates,” President Obama told me.

And in all my talks with Obama I think it was the first time he was one the same page as Karl Rove who thinks the “birther” controversy is hurting the GOP.

Glenn Beck weighed in on the birther controversy as well today. Enough is enough, Beck said, “stop with the damn birth certificate!”

      In a group of cows, one will immediately recognize the maverick when it is time to ‘herd’ the group alone a path. Cows herd by nature, mavericks tend to scream and yell during runny fluctuates on a flat rock etc. There is something, maybe small, always to admirer in some maverick when standing in a herd all of ones life.

      Opinions are just that. Politicians have mastered the art of deceptive word twisting-half truths. Perhaps Mr Trump, a maverick of sorts, has the ability to turn-on and turn-off the tool of enforcement. Some early outspoken Patriots, using today’s offensive language expression of fowl origin-SOB, would recoil from PC correctness of today.

      Well, since nobody’s perfect, I still say Trump would kick China, OPEC, Iran, Russia, and the Saudis to the curb and restore respect for the USA in the eyes of our allies. Among other positive things he’ll do.

      Interesting idea. It’s true — there are much more pertinent issues to confront, though I don’t have a problem with the demand to see his birth certificate. It just seems very odd that Trump would champion the issue.

      I myself think Obama was born in Hawaii. I believe the only reason he will not release is actual certificate is so he can keep this whole thing going because he thinks it will hurt conservatives.

      He’s not going to cough it up! Who do you think started all of this, planted the seed originally? This is a distraction and misdirect more than likely by him or someone close to him. I will push my theory until someone gives it some attention that his legal name is Barry Soetoro,after being adopted by Lolo Soetoro, not Barack Obama. The significance with this is he is committing identity fraud even though the name he is using is the name on his BF. Legally, its Soetoro you just cant go around signing whatever name you want to contracts, loans, applications (say to run for president), license etc etc. This is why his records were sealed to hid the name on medical, school financial records etc.

      This will never end and the only light at the end of the tunnel is a few more states to follow AZ lead in passing an eligibility law.

      I can see this as two ways,
      A-Obama was born here but isn’t showing his birth certificate because he wants to fan the idea and bring discredit to conservatives.
      B-He wasn’t born here and is trying to hide this from people.

      Solution-Hillary will likely run, she’s the one that first brought up the birther issue. She likes and is good at finding the dirt on people, let her do the work.       I have thought about this “ birth” issue for some time now, but I’ve given more thought to the content of Obamas character. That and how his character, or lack of it would play out should the truth of his birth come to light.
      Facts: Obama contradicts his own statements that are “on record”.
      Proof: Obama as a Senator stated that it was unconstitutional to fight any war not approved before congress. We are fighting in Lybia and congress has not declared war.
      Proof: Obama voted against raising the debt limit, saying we had too much debt. Now he says we must raise the debt limit and has personally overseen 7+ trillion in new debt.

      Facts: Obama said he would close Gitmo
      Obama said healthcare would save money
      Obama said we would stop the wars in the middle east.

      Obama flip flops more than a beached whale. It has become an obvious fact that he has no integrity.

      FACT: no matter what he does, or how much he contridicts himself the mainstream media does not cover it. This is conspiracy to defraud America of truth.

      In conclusion I believe that even if we were to discover he is really Lucifer incarnate, we are incapable of getting our the truth out, I don’t believe that mainstream media would condescend to tell any truth anymore, no matter the import to our nation. I don’t think that any other medium of media transference would dramatically increase the number of people who would be reached by the truth. And I don’t think that the asleep ones have the capability to awaken even if the truth is in there face.
      There is one window of opportunity that remains open for truth to present itself., and that window is tenuous at best. The presidential debates. However, if all my homework in knitting together all the various factors at play are correct, then the plan is for us to never get to presidential debates for the plan is to not have any more elections.

      Someone sent me a link to a video where he supposedly admitted being born in Kenya. It looked pretty convincing until I realized the admission to being born in Kenya was while his head was turned away from the camera. Glen is right. For heaven’s sake, there are birth announcements in the paper from 1960, and his birth record in Hawaii meets Government requirements for proof of birth. There is another more practical bit of information. I’ll bet the town in Kenya did not even have phone service to be able to call Hawaii to let the grandmother put a birth announcement in the paper. Also, Obama’s parents were smart enough to arrange to be in the US for the birth to give their baby the benefits of citizenship and to take advantage of modern health care. Even now, a woman would have to be crazy to want to deliver a baby in Kenya instead of Hawaii. This issue is a distraction and does not warrant the attention it get from conservatives.

      The adoption, selective service, passport, social security records, and now the medical records are a bigger concern to me. What passports were issued? Did he have a significant brain injury? Because the press and other presidential candidates did not do their job in vetting the candidates for president, we will probably never get all of the answers. It is obvious that he is in way over his head, and he is so entrenched in his liberal ideology that he can’t even let reality change his beliefs. These are much bigger concerns than investigating how Hawaii natives kept records in 1960.

      If we were smarter, we would be investigating every republican and tea party prospective candidate for skeletons in their closets. You know how much the MSM found out about Palin very quickly. They will protect and defend Obama to the degree that they will be full time advertisers for his campaign. And they will spare no expense in investigating conservatives. We need to drop the whole birth certificate thing and use our energies strategically to win elections. Besides, if you get rid of Obama using a technicality, we are stuck with a senile VP as president. Let’s move on.

      It’s already a requirement that you prove you are a natural born citizen in order to run for president. He never did but it was swept under the rug by the media and republicans were scared to say anything because they were afraid of being labeled fearmongers.

      Sorry Glenn but you’re wrong on this one. This issue is the only one where I’ve seen you denigrate people that are asking a perfectly legitimate question in a sad attempt to paint yourself as some sort of “moderate” or “independant”. I hope it‘s not a sign that you’re going Scarborough.

      The Constitution uniquely requires only the President to be NATURAL BORN CITIZEN. The Founding Fathers stipulated that being a “citizen” is adequate for Congressional eligibility but the Founding Fathers purposefully and specifically required a “natural born citizen” for the President.

      Birth certificate speculation, in isolation from other equally disqualifying factors, becomes a fruitless diversion. Obama obviously expects not to be compelled to produce it by either Congressional or Supreme Court subpoena. However even assuming he is a citizen born in Hawaii, he is still not eligible because he is not a “natural born citizen” as required by the Constitution, meaning born on American soil of TWO citizen parents!

      Again, assuming he is a U.S. citizen, he is further disqualified from eligibility for holding dual citizenship by being born a British citizen pursuant to the British Nationality Act of 1948, as his father was a British citizen of colonial Kenya.

      So how did this happen?

      Assuming Obama is a citizen born in Hawaii and did not usurp but rather was legally elected to serve as an Illinois Senator, he shortly thereafter declared his candidacy.

      Following the convention, the Democratic National Committee only certified Obama as eligible pursuant to Article II – Section I of the Constitution, for the state of Hawaii. They prepared a separate and different Certification of Nomination for the other 49 states that omitted language specifically stating that Obama was constitutionally eligible as a natural born citizen.[1] Former House Speaker Nancy Pelosi signed both versions sent to the states.[2] In a strange catch 22, Dr. Chiyome Fukino, Hawaii State Health Director might have later simply relied on Pelosi’s certification to affirm Obama was a natural born citizen after being deluged with eligibility questions.[3]

      No Secretary of State in any of the 50 states questioned the veracity of the DNC Certification of Nomination they received attesting to Obama’s eligibility. They either simply failed in their duty or were not required by state law, to perform adequate due diligence to independently verify Obama’s eligibility prior to allowing him on the state ballot.

      Perhaps John McCain failed to challenge Obama for not being a natural born citizen, because he possibly also failed to meet this eligibility requirement. McCain was born in Panama while his father was stationed at the Canal Zone as a Naval officer. However it is suspected that he was actually born in a Panama City hospital, rather than on the Naval base which is considered American soil. Ironically, Senate resolution S RES 511 of 04-03-2008, affirming McCain’s eligibility as a natural born citizen born on American soil of citizen parents,[4] was co-sponsored by Obama.[5]

      Following the election, Congress certified the results [6] without any member daring to challenge Obama’s eligibility despite or perhaps more honestly, because of the unresolved controversy and the firestorm they feared might ensue, in violation of their oath of office to support and defend the Constitution.[7]

      Then Chief Justice Roberts blindly administered the sworn oath of office without hesitation, twice! Obama invalidated his public swearing in by reciting his sworn oath of office incorrectly. This ominous omen foreshadows his future frustration with presidential comportment particularly without his teleprompter, given his predilection for Constitutionally questionable edicts and policies. Sadly this dark sign of subversion soon to threaten our nation from within, wasn’t assuaged in the slightest even after Chief Justice Roberts sternly required Obama repair his sworn oath to the support and defend the Constitution.

      Following that, no judge in the land would permit any eligibility case to be heard on merit but instead each case, with the exception of Lt. Col. Terry Lakin, MD who was shamelessly railroaded into Leavenworth prison by a travesty of a court martial,[8] has been dismissed citing lack of standing.

      It matters to me, but there is nothing we can do about the past 2+ years of his Presidency. I think the man is un-American they way he talks about his country, and his fellow politicians. His speech oon his ill-defined budget was proof positive he hold great disdain for the Republican Party and conservatives. He has no plan other than to break the bank of America and is well on his way to crashing the dollar. At this point I could give a rip if he was born on Mars, the man-child on training wheels has not got a clue about finance and the economy. All of the Dumbocrits are pushing more investment (read spending) and higher taxes. These policies are the final nail in our coffin! They can take their collective BS and jam it!

      The Pretender misunderstands us. Under the US Constitution -he has sworn to defend– the requirement is not that a contender be native born–but that they be a “natural born citizen” the term had specific meaning when adopted. And as Justice David brewer wrote in legal opinion (1905) “The Constitution is a written instrument.As such its’ meaning does not alter.That which it meant when it was adopted-it means now.”If true in 1905-then it was true prior to that opinion-and it remains true even today.It does not matter if the 0 was born in the USA -it matters very much where both of his parents were born-and it matters very much where his allegiances are.       Both my parents were born in the U.S. ! But if applied for a job , say with the FBI or CIA would they
      not be scrutinized ? This guy had a radical white mom a Kenyan dad and a Indonesian stepfather.
      I have some questions, Where was he educated as a child ? when did he move to the Mainland (U.S.)
      Why did he claim to be a foreigner to obtain grant money for college? Why is so difficult for him to show proof of citizenship ?? I lost my Birth Certificate in a house fire, but I was able to get a duplicate. when I got my home loan. Why the Big Mystery ??? Still believe he has horns !!
