Obama: ‘The Economy’s Gotten Better Than It Was When I First Took Office’–Really?

Quick question: Is the economy in better shape than it was in 2009? President Obama has an answer. According to him, “yes.”

Obama made the statement Wednesday during an Illinois town hall, telling the crowd that the economy has gotten better since he took office (and citing private-sector jobs):

We thought we’d take a look at that claim and the economy over the last two-and-a-half years. And here’s what we found:

And those are just a few of the stats. If we were the fact-check site Politifact, we might grade this claim as “pants on fire.”

      Do think the man was brainwashed by his Lefty mentors, university profs ( Occidental College is known as the Moscow of Southern California !) , and his religious training which included 20 years under the “guidance” of the racist Rev. Wright ( too bad the MSM didn’t pick up on that one at least!) I guess he thinks of himself as a modern day Black Robin Hood – out to bring social justice through redistribution. Sadly misguided.       Identifying a Pathological Liar
      Pathological liars – or “mythomaniacs” – may be suffering from histrionic personality disorder or narcissistic personality disorder. The following comments basically reflect a pathological liar who has the characteristics of histrionic personality disorder.
      Some characteristics
      1. Exaggerates things that are ridiculous.
      2. One-upping. Whatever you do, this person can do it better. You will never top them in their own mind, because they have a concerted need to be better than everyone else. This also applies to being right. If you try to confront an individual like this, no matter how lovingly and well-intentioned you might be – this will probably not be effective. It’s threatening their fantasy of themselves, so they would rather argue with you and bring out the sharp knives than admit that there’s anything wrong with them.
      3. They “construct” a reality around themselves. They don’t value the truth. If you call them on a lie and they are backed into a corner, they will act very defensively and say ugly things, but they may eventually start to act like, “Well, what’s the difference? You’re making a big deal out of nothing!” (again, to refocus the conversation to your wrongdoing instead of theirs).
      4. Because these people don’t value honesty, a lot of times they will not value loyalty.
      6. Obviously, they will contradict what they say. This will become very clear over time. They usually aren’t smart enough to keep track of

      Obama is officially the greatest comedian who ever lived. He’s a weird kind of comedian though; for some reason I can’t stop crying every time I laugh at this joke of a man. The thought that people actually saw this man and voted for him sickens me. They knew nothing about him except for that he is a black man and that they wanted to “be a part of history”.       Libertarian Island – Peter Thiel has been talking about a platform island to create an experimental “get out of our way, government, and we‘ll show you how it’s done” island. That sounds great! I’d love to be in a place like that! I’m a workaholic. That sounds like a paradise to me. Just let me do my work and live free and I’m happy.

    How can u tell Obama is lying???? His lips are moving!! I heard his comment about the economy being better since he took office. He has no clue. The man never ran a business, served in the military, worked with his hands, or went to a Christian church. We cant keep waiting for him to change because he can’t!!! His mother was an atheist, and he never took a course in American History as Hawaii only teaches Hawaiian history. The only recourse is to vote him OUT!!!!! It sickens me to see the president of our great country bow to atheists, and dictators. How nice that the Islamic countries want him to be reelected. Perhaps he should run for office in their countries.

      Well, I think Obama is right! Since he has been in the white house: He’s played more golf than he can imagine, taken so many vacations, wining and dining, passing on all responsibilities(except for reading a prompter), and Flying all over the world all on the tax payers dime. So sure his economy is fantastic, after all do ya think he could afford all this before, community organizer!

    Yes, Mr. President it has gotten better for me. I only had to move 1200 miles and take a job paying 8 dollars less per hour and only work 20 hours instead of 40 hours but it is better. I lost my job 11 days after you were innaugarated. I will get my first paycheck in 957 days on September 15th. I am proud to say I did not draw a single unemployment check.
