Obama to College Kids: ‘If You Love Me, You‘ve Got to Help Me Pass This Bill’

President Barack Obama took the case for his jobs package on the road again Wednesday, delivering a speech in the battleground state of North Carolina to a crowd of college students.
Speaking to more than 9,000 at North Carolina State University, Obama got some “love” from the crowd — and dished some right back.
“I love you Barack!” a voice in the audience called out at one point during Obama’s speech.
“I love you back,” Obama replied as the crowd screamed in approval. “But first — but if you love me — if you love me, you’ve got to help me pass this bill.”
To the students in the crowd, Obama said he had a “homework assignment” for everyone who missed class to hear him speak.
“For those of you who did skip class today, I’ve got a homework assignment for you,” he said. “Tell your congressperson that the time for partisanship and politics is over — now is not the time for it.”
Urging students to join him in the fight for the bill, he added: “I just want to make sure everybody understands their homework assignment. Tell them. Tell them that if you want to create jobs — pass this bill.”
Obama touted the American Jobs Act as a way to get the country “back to a place where we’re creating good, middle-class jobs again.”
“I know that’s what the students are thinking about,” he said. “And we can do that if we can finally get Washington to act.”
The president also accused Republican lawmakers of deliberately dragging their feet on the bill so as not to give him a political win.
“Give me a win? Give me a break!” he said as the crowd cheered again. “That’s exactly why folks are fed up with Washington.”
The campaign-style event was Obama’s second in two days, after visiting Ohio on Tuesday and Virginia last week — both battleground states.
The North Carolina trip drew particular scorn from Republican National Committee Chairman Reince Priebus, who accused Obama of out-and-out campaigning on the taxpayers’ dime.
“This president is in love with the sound of his own voice, he’s in love with campaigning, he’s in love with fundraising, and he’s in love with the stump,” Priebus told the Associated Press. “And he’s doing what he loves to do best, which is to go to battleground states, masquerade as official business, use taxpayer money to do it, and campaign.”

College kids going for engineering, teaching, history degrees wanting a nice construction job.. Nah. They want to sit in offices, make $100k and have air conditioning… Not use a shovel in 95 degree heat with 90% humidity. And all this while Bank of America in Charlotte is laying off 30,000 people. Well, that is ONLY a net Loss of 13,000 jobs. Way to go!

I know you went around and bowed down to the Saudi’s and the Japanese, and even some random Florida official, and I remember how you went around the world telling countries how arrogant America has been….

Please, mommy, please! don’t you love me enough?” His words are demeaning to Obama himself and the presidency. I am embarrassed by him and for him, though I’m sure he it too narcissistic to realize how he has demeaned and humiliated himself.
