The Trump Card: Obama Uses The Donald’s Plane In New Ad Bashing Romney

In a new campaign ad out today, the Obama campaign is presenting Mitt Romney as an out-of-touch tax-raiser. And mysteriously, it drags Donald Trump into the mix. The ad is focused on a report from the Tax Policy Center that hypothetically asserts that Mitt Romney will be raising the taxes on the middle class to make up for, yes, tax breaks for the middle class. And during one part, it shows Roomney getting off a plane as a jet plastered with “Trump” flashes in the background.
As NBC reports:
The scenarios the Tax Policy Center gamed out included an extension of the Bush tax cuts, a reduction of individual income tax rates by 20%, elimination of taxes on investment income for most taxpayers, and the elimination of the estate and alternative minimum taxes.
To compensate for the revenues lost by these reductions, the policy center concluded the necessity of “a shift in the tax burden of at least $86 billion [a year] … onto lower-and-middle income taxpayers” through the elimination of tax credits like those for college education and children, as well as deductions for mortgage interest.
The Romney campaign and the Republican National Committee has dismissed the study as partisan, noting that one of its three authors had been on the staff of Mr. Obama’s Council of Economic Advisers.
This has not stopped the Presidents campaign from making a full length ad based on the report. The ad accuses Romney of paying less in taxes that the average American family with the slogan: ”Mitt Romney’s middle class tax increase, he pays less, you pay more.” The ad also harkens back to a feud the President had with Donald Trump, by using imagery of Romney next to Trump’s private jet while the narrator states, “Now he has a plan that would give millionaires another tax break.”

The sustained attacks by the Obama campaign on Romney’s tenure at Bain Capital have helped that concern along.
———————————–Romney’s own refusal to release more of than two years of his tax returns are contributing to the view that he has something to hide. And I contend that all of this is making it difficult for Romney’s economic message to break through.
Why should voters trust his plans for job creation if his tenure at Bain was about cutting jobs or shipping them overseas? ————————-Why should voters trust him to fix the tax code in a manner that would be fair to all and not simply the wealthy like him?
The tax-return issue is especially harmful because he looks shifty, like he has something to hide. His worry that his critics will use them to embarrass him, while understandable, is of no consequence to the American public.
——————————-They are asked to produce multiple years of tax returns for plenty of things less important than the privilege of being president of the United States. Romney is asking the American people to trust him with their lives and livelihood. —————————The least he could do is be transparent about his finances.

Posted on August 2, 2012 at 2:53pmSo let me get this straight… He sends his Taxes to the IRS and they review and enforce errors… Is there ANY way the IRS is not looking for HIS Tax Records over so many others… I am going to say no… If there were major issues with his Taxes the IRS would be on it like crazy under this administration.
It was noted the Obama previous campaigns, the people running against Obama had Divorces unsealed and child custidity records unsealed to be used against them. SO Obama ran unopposed in some of those elections…
Romney does not have any divorce records to wave around or other dirty laundry to air… So they want to fond some obscure error that even the IRS won’t flag to rail against his evilness…
I for one am tired of the left’s games… If Obama can seal off his entire life or the pieces he doesn’t want us to know about or the stories he makes up in his books then Mitt need not play the game… Let the voters decides and vote…

Since everyone already agrees that adultery is a sin and against the morals of society, what is your point?
If you are wondering why there is not an equivalent “out cry” against adultery – please see paragraph 1.
Just to further clarify, if and when there arises a powerful bully lobby favoring the societal acceptance of adultery as normative behavior, trust me, you will see the same indignation for this sexual sin as for the sexual sin of homosexuality.

The other candidate has never held a job in the private sector. One that he would cut income taxes and, Two, that he would do it in a manner that would render them deficit neutral. Again, without Romney actually providing any policy details or answering any real questions it is difficult to give him the benefit of the doubt. Particularly given his use of esoteric tax loopholes, off shore accounts and calculated, self serving secrecy.

However don’t be so sure AT ALL about victory…as much as Romney would be a victory… I am very low income(right now) and most of my friends are low to very low-middle income -All of my neighbors, friends- even my dad…a pretty high income earner and investor – are ALL Obama supporters….every single last one. I have even lost friends and recently family members because they feel so strongly about supporting the Socialist agenda. My ONLY friends that are not on board with Obama are 2 of my black friends (a very religious couple). My uncle and brother can not even see a Mitt Romney ad with out cussing and screaming at the TV. At school-forget it..Obama all day long. One neighbor sits outside and drinks all day-is on welfare, food stamps..etc-complains to the convenient store owners of our neighbor hood- a hard working Indian couple who’s son is graduating from medical school-how he can’t wait till Obamacare starts…even the ‘Good Ol’ Boys’ in my neighbor hood like Obama because of what they can get. Sick. Just Sick.
