Obama: We ‘Screwed up all the Time’ During ‘08 Campaign

Barack Obama Attends New York Fundraisers, Says His 2008 Campaign Screwed UpSpeaking at a New York fundraiser on Thursday, President Obama ceded that his 2008 campaign was not even close to perfect and that he remembered his campaign as “screwing up all the time.”

According to The Hill, Obama joked: “People remember that campaign as being flawless and so much fun.” But he said, “I don’t remember it that way … I remember us screwing up all the time.”

He didn’t list any specific examples of said missteps, however.

The Hill adds:

During the appearance at a private residence, Obama spoke for roughly 10 minutes, listing his accomplishments while in office.

While he acknowledged that “there’s still a lot of hardship” facing the country, Obama said, “the trend lines are good.” The president added that he’s working to build a “better foundation for long-term economic growth.”

According to the report, Obama drew a hearty round of applause from the affluent attendees at this first fundraiser of the evening for declaring that the Iraq war “is now over.” It was just one of four fundraisers Obama is slated to appear at in New York Thursday night.

    Since he’s in the acclaiming credit mode, let him take credit for doing ZERO to offset the world oil prices. A great leader like himself should forsee the impending threat of curtailing the exporting of needed oil by rouge world leaders. Alas! When it comes to a crisis, the great leader assigns the troubles to his predecessor. Zero has done the same as many of our incompetant past presidents have done, he has sucked up to his money/power base, ignoring the people he claims to be so generously helping. EPA and banks are his tools. The money he took from the tax payers, he noblely gave to the banks. Allowing time for the banks to make loads of money with the bailouts, As they payback some of the money, what does Zero do with the returns? He spends it on his health care and green energy projects. To hel… with the taxpayers who he got the money from to begin with. Meanwhile the homeowners are still up the creek with inversed mortgage payment or they have just quit paying. But what is coming? Zero will cash in on all those homeowners who lost their fortunes in their homes and those that were forced to foreclose or shortsale. Uncle Sam will be knocking at their door for the income Zero decides they have made, and will garnish a fat sum of money out of their salary.

      If I may quote you Obama – “To those that much is given – much is expected!

      This means – If you are elected to the Presidency of the greatest nation in the World – then God will expect much more from you – than he will or ordinary people.

      If a little old lady lies – yes, it is a sin – it may not effect a lot of people – if you lie or give 1000′s of Weapons to drug lord – your decisions or lies do effect a lot of people and your punishment is going to be much greater – because the Lord will expect much on Judgement Day.

      I would not expect many of our Liberal media or even some of our Conservative media to call you out on it – because they haven’t read the Bible!

      I can’t blaime you Obama – you probably got your interpretation from Sharpton, Jackson or Rev Wright.

      They know the Bible about as much as the Christians that voted for you.

      I didn‘t comment about Obama’s mommy, but I did hear a good one today, Obama asked why he was black and she was white. She looked at him and said, “Give it a rest Barrack, from what I remember that night, just be thankful you don’t bark.”

    Screw-ups in ‘08? Sure; he ran on hope, and it sold. Now that it’s three years and hope is waning, Obama’s running out of steam.

    McCain and Palin held us back in ‘08. Romney might doom us in 2012, even if the Obama campaign is all “screwed up.” Not a good time to be a small government, Constitution-enforcing conservative if even a screwed up campaign can best what the GOP has to offer.

    Still hoping for a true fiscal conservative. Ron Paul’s chances look slimmer each day; maybe a brokered convention can offer some ACTUAL hope…

      Sorry Ron Paul is NOT a true fiscal conservative. While it is true he conned all you RP’ers into believing that, he is as liberal as they come monetarily speaking. True, he voted “NO” on all the fiscal bills, yet knowing they would pass. So like a true political liar he loaded them to the max with earmarks. If he were a true fiscal conservative as you claim, he would have voted “NO” and not taken the money until they could pay for it or balance the budget or at LEAST not pile on millions more of debt, which is EXACTLY what Ron Paul did. NOT a fiscal conservative. He just wanted to be able to say “I didn’t vote for that”. He set it up to play both sides of the fence, look like he cares, then do a money grab.

    Okay, you “screwed up all the time” during ‘08. Agreed with that, now it’s been three long terrible years. Any chance the screw ups are over? I just hope the nation doesn‘t screw up again in ’12.

      No music is out of the question on my show. I will play Les Paul, Skynard, Bowie, Johnny Cash, Beatles, Sinatra; I run the table. Other stations are frightened to play what people want to hear. My show, seasoned with guests (and good ones) and music and killer prizes; drives the other stations nuts because they aren’t allowed/able to actually have fun.
