“We do not begrudge wealth in this country. I want everybody here to do well. We aspire to financial success, but we also understand that we’re not successful just by ourselves,” President Obama said at a campaign event in Ann Arbor, Michigan on Friday morning.

As part of his speech, President Obama told his collegiate audience that nobody has ever achieved remarkable wealth or success on their own.
“We’re successful because somebody started the University of Michigan. We’re successful because somebody made an investment in all the federal research labs that created the internet,” the President said.
“We’re successful because we have an outstanding military that costs money. We’re successful because somebody built roads and bridges. And laid broadband lines and these things didn’t just happen on their own. And if we all understand that we’ve got to pay for this stuff, it makes sense for those of us who’ve done best to do our fair share and to try to pass off that bill on to somebody else, that’s not right. That’s not who we are,” the president said.

I went to college, and PAID FOR IT MYSELF, with cash! There was a semester or two that I had to skip because I didn’t have enough cash, but I made it thru – a Bachelor’s degree in 6-1/2 years and I worked also.

That is, he is a collectivist (and these statements could be taken as Exhibit Z-20 of that) who, whilst not opposing private ownership of property as the communists do, nevertheless wants a largely State-directed economy (“A blueprint to build an America that lasts”) with much State involvement in even the minutest aspects of business practice (who you can hire, fire, what wages should be, who you can do business with, etc.) and consequently in everyday life (Liberty must be absolute—you cannot infringe on economic liberty without infringing on personnal liberty, because the two are actually one and the same), and who also embraces the basic Marxist tenet of dialectical materialism, i.e., the Hegelian opposition of rich and poor, oppressor and oppressed, the 1% and 99%, etc.

Wealth disparity in a free market (which we haven’t had for 100 years) cannot happen by exploitation, because people choose for themselves what to trade. To be successful, you have to take the cost of acquiring the thing you want to trade into consideration, and if you fail to do so you’ll take a loss, but this isn’t the fault of the other guy.
And at the moment of transaction, all parties receive what they think is more valuable than what they gave up, otherwise they wouldn’t trade.

Dividedwefail you should really study the history of the time Mitt Romney was governor before you make such a strong judgement and choose to hate rather than take the word of Geraldo Rivera of all people. Do your OWN homework and then decide rather than taking anything the media says as fact.
If Mitt does get the nomination and goes on to win, hopefully people will be able to admit they were wrong when he does repeal Obamacare. I will admit should he not follow through.
