President Barack Obama arrives in South Korea to attend the Nuclear Security Summit. He said the "window is closing" on a diplomatic solution to the standoff over Iran's nuclear program. (AP)
Time is running out for a diplomatic solution to the standoff over Iran’s nuclear program, President Barack Obama said Sunday.
Obama made the comments ahead of a nuclear summit in South Korea after talks with Turkish Prime Minister Tayyip Erdogan, according to Reuters.
“I believe there is a window of time to solve this diplomatically but that window is closing,” Obama told reporters.
Iran has maintained its nuclear program is purely peaceful, despite international suspicions. Israel has repeatedly said the option of a military strike against Iran’s facilities is on the table, something Obama has pressured the Jewish state not to do.
Still, Obama said earlier this month the U.S. would not hesitate to attack Iran to prevent it from acquiring a nuclear weapon.
Erdogan spoke to Obama about his planned upcoming visit to Iran and said he would also talk to Iranian leaders about the violence in Syria, a Tehran ally.
Representatives from Iran and North Korea are not attending the Seoul summit, nor are the countries on the formal agenda, but both are “dominating talks on the sidelines of the conference that is ostensibly focused on preventing nuclear terrorism,” Reuters reported.

I made up Treantish standards from the mythical Treants of Middle Earth. In the 1nd book of the Lord of the Ring Series they take 1/2 a day to say hello to each other at a treant council. Treebeard, their leader, lectures the hobbits about not being “hasty”.
The treants can act with alacrity when they are angered. Is suppose the Diplomats could act with speed & decisiveness, if they kids were going to be affected or their homes were in or near an region/nation under threat.
They are so cocooned by from harm that they don’t get it.

I think at the time the diplomats in Obama’s entourage asked the Green Movement how could the United States help, which shows the incompetence, cowardice or support of the Iranian oligarchs by the Obama-ites.

Then Secretary Condi Rice stated ” go right ahead and talk to them if you think you can make a difference.” Rice knew that you CANNOT talk to crazy, rabid Muslims no matter how much you try. Now it seems to be the case.

Then, for about 10 years, the rest of the countries remaining will shut the hell up and mind their own business. Reconstruction dollars? Are you kidding me? By the way, how many times has he talked to the PM of Turkey Tayyip Erdegan now, who is hoping to be the head of Islam’s Caliphate of intolerance and death by criss-crossed sword? I‘m sure they had a nice little visit talking about the next terrorist flotilla that he’ll be sending to the Gaza terrorist strip or the next armaments they‘ll be sending into the terrorist occupied Bosnia and Kosovo where they’ve turned the former Yugoslavia into a haven for terrorists hoping to create the Green Transversal and another brutal Muslim Turk occupation.

He wants to get us into a war in which he then can declare martial law, nationalize everything as set out in the latest executive order of earlier in the month (now we know the real reason for such haste in its being updated) and to ensure he can either nullify the elections or be a ‘war president’ who is to be in office for another term while he guarantees our troops are hindered by such tight rules of engagenemt that they will be all but assured of defeat.

Look at the history of the Falkland War conflict with the ruling junta in Argentina; three days before the conflict started with the actual invasion of the isles by Argentinian forces the people were on the edge of civil war against the junta. The day of the invasion; these same enemies of the junta are then declaring their support for it out of national pride.
The progressives do it the same way here at home, only for more darker, evil purposes of expanding their control. Unlike with Wilson and FDR where they almost won complete control of the nation for good; under Obama it will happen unless the people can prevent it.
