Obama’s Approval at All-Time Low Among Low-Income Individuals

The president‘s approval fell to it’s lowest weekly rating among the very poor and a segment of the middle class according to a Gallup poll update from Thursday afternoon.
That’s bad news for the President Obama, as this week marks the supposed end of an extended period of contentious debate over the debt ceiling limit. His calls to make the rich ‘pay their fair share’ in a national television address last week were probably intended to appeal to the poorer segments of America, but new statistics show just the opposite actually happened.
The Gallup poll‘s Presidential Job Approval Center keeps measurements of how the nation feels about more than 10 of the country’s most recent leaders, with a daily update in the early afternoon as well as weekly averages. This week, the poll reports a two point increase in American disapproval of Obama, raising that statistic to 52 percent overall. But Gallup has reported record approval drops in those it considers poor, people earning less than $2,000 dollars a month, and one portion of the middle class, people earning between $5000 and $7,499 a month.
Among the poorest Americans, the president’s approval started at 54 percent in the week of June 13-19 and dropped to a record low of 43 percent last week (July 25-July 31). Obama’s approval dropped from 52 percent to a record low of 38 percent among those middle-class Americans earning between $5,000 and $7,499 per month, during that same week. That week, of course, was one full of political conflict over the debt limit, which is now panning out to affect many other governmental organizations including the Federal Aviation Administration.
Over the past seven weeks, the poll reports presidential approval has fallen 11 percentage points among the poorest Americans and 14 percentage points among that portion of the middle class specified earlier.
Perhaps equally if not more interesting – a point made by a report from CNS News:
In fact, according to Gallup, Obama enjoys no more approval among the poorest Americans today than he does among the richest—and he enjoys significantly less approval among middle class Americans earning between $5,000 to $7,499 than he does among the richest Americans as measure by the income brackets reported by Gallup (those earning $7,500 per month or more).
…
In one way at least, Obama has leveled the playing field: The poor are now no more likely to approve of the job he is doing than the rich.
As President Obama marks a major milestone in celebrating his 50th birthday, this news comes as maybe not the best birthday present.

Posted on August 8, 2011 at 8:54pmThe poor were probably the most impatient for that hope and change to begin . . . you can’t eat promises and pleas for patience until 2012. I would think THEY’D be the MOST disappointed in him, pinning all their hopes on this history-making election of 2008.
I just wanna know WHO are those people applauding and cheering at his birthday bash?? Certainly not the “common folk” (middle class) who the state finally came after when it realized they were NEVER gonna pull in enough money JUST taxing the “RICH”.

Posted on August 6, 2011 at 10:55pmI can’t wait for the clown to leave. Have any of you folks noticed how “liberals” claim to be so much more smarter than the rest of us normal folks who work for a living, but in reality they all seam to be boarder line mentally retarded, have a lot of trouble grasping basic concepts that we have been able to understand for years, with this debt mess, they missed the entire point, I was arguing with the tards that the problem wasn’t that we were not going to borrow even more money, but we owed far too much money and Odumbo and the Dumbotards refused to even consider trying to trim some fat, we have to vote the dumbotards out in 2012, I am starting to think that the 2012 election is going to make the 2010 election look close, everyone I talk to is really pissed off at Odumbo and the dumbotards.

Posted on August 6, 2011 at 6:22pmTried to tell them. Alinsky’s “Rules for Radicals” which hilary and obama are fans of, tells the poor..which out number the rich, that they will spread the wealth. The only wealth they are spreading is taking from anyone who has a dream and puts it in their own pockets and the pockets of the CEO of big companies and lets not forget the billions we are spending on the islamic world. We buy their oil, we rebuild their mosques, we bring them and somalis and haitians all to America. We allow illegals and hamaas drug cartel.a in No money left for the folks paying in. And lets not forget the taxes of not only the rich, but of every single person who ever uses a bank for a finacial transaction? The feds thanks to obama team own the banks. They want to charge you for cashing a check, deposiiting or withdrawing money. Every time you do any transaction they want to charge you a percentage. And what was in the budgetthat they didn’t want you to know.?…..just wait. Tierney…

Posted on August 6, 2011 at 6:02pmWould like to see all his approval numbers get below 35%. There will be liberal backsliding when the Repub nominee is chosen. Obama losing in 2012 is still not a slam dunk… even with a 10% attrition in his regular voting ranks, across the board.
