Border protection and immigration
“A nation that cannot control its borders is not a nation” – Ronald Reagan.
The borders of America must be secured at all costs. It is apparent that the sovereignty of this nation is at risk if the invasion by non-citizens continues. This is not a phobic reaction to peoples of differing cultures, as America has been a melting pot of cultures since its inception. It is common sense that you do not allow strangers in your house without first ensuring that they are not going to harm you.
Report Post »With this in mind, we call for the immediate building of a secured wall/fence along the southern border of the United States, much like what Mexico is proposing with their border with Guatemala. Along with securing the southern border, there needs to be a way for individuals and families searching for the “American Dream” to enter the US. We call for the building of mini-Ellis Island facilities to be constructed at various points along the border. These facilities will allow for immigrants to be properly vetted, documented, and granted identification that they can use to establish residency in the country. This process in no way violates the fundamental rights of the individual, as it legitimizes immigrants, rather than forcing them to live in the shadows of America, to be abused by unscrupulous businesses.
The President shall dispatch all necessary man power to the southern border for security purposes, including the National Guard of the various border states (with those force numbers being determined by the various governors of said states), along with observation drones, intelligence and law enforcement personnel, and any and all needed operational assistance.
The Congress shall pass and the President shall sign a law bringing about comprehensive immigration reform. That legislation shall call for the immediate return to their home country any person found to be in the United States illegally, whether by virtue of an expired visa or due to that person having intentionally entered the United States without proper authorization. Any person so deported shall be banned from reentering the United States, its territories or protectorates for life. Any person found to have reentered the United States, its territories or protectorates, after having been banned for life, will be guilty of committing a Federal Felony, with the term of incarceration being no less than ten (10) years in a federal prison. Upon their release, that person will again be returned to their home country. Any person illegally in the United States, who voluntarily returns to their home country before being discovered and banned for life may regain entry into the United States as long as they enter via one of the newly established immigration centers, submit to a background and health inquiry.
Congress shall also pass and the President sign into law authorization allowing state and local law enforcement officials the right to inquire into a person’s immigration status, provided that inquiry is made pursuant to another reason for law enforcement’s contact with the person. Federal law enforcement officials will work with state and local law enforcement to ensure proper training has occurred to ensure that no abuses are made towards individuals. Along with authorizing this inquiry, state and local law enforcement will be allowed to detain and deliver to the immigration authorities all persons suspected of being in the United States illegally. It will be incumbent upon the individual to demonstrate that they are in fact legally authorized to be in the United States.
The Fourteenth Amendment to the United States Constitution, having be ratified and adopted on July 9, 1868 was intended to protect the rights of former slaves throughout the country. Over the past 142 years a portion of that amendment has been used to circumvent common sense, allowing immigrants who have entered this country illegally to lay down “roots” via “anchor babies.” We seek to remove that portion of the Fourteenth Amendment that is now being used to make a mockery of our system. The concept of jus soli, within the scope of modern immigration is no longer a viable or logical option. Therefore, the portion of the Fourteenth Amendment that reads, “All persons born or naturalized in the United States, and subject to the jurisdiction thereof, are citizens of the United States and of the State wherein they reside” should be amended to read, “All persons born in the United States, to one United States citizen, and subject to the jurisdiction thereof, are citizens of the United States and of the State wherein they reside.” This minor change in wording will effectively eliminate the “anchor baby” issue, and still protect the rights of the people to due process, equal protection and other issues addressed in the amendment.

It explains things better than all the baloney you hear on TV.
Her point is:
Recently large demonstrations have taken place across the country protesting the fact that Arizona instead of Congress is finally addressing the issue of illegal immigration.
Certain people are angry that the US might protect its own borders, might make it harder to sneak into this country and, once here, to stay indefinitely.
Let me see if I correctly understand the thinking behind these protests.
Let’s say I break into your house.
Let’s say that when you discover me in your house, you insist that I leave.
But I say, ‘No! I like it here. It’s better than my house. I’ve made all the beds and washed the dishes and did the laundry and swept the floors. I’ve done all the things you don’t like to do. I’m hard-working and honest (except for when I broke into your house).
According to the protesters:
You are Required to let me stay in your house
You are Required to feed me
You are Required to add me to your family’s insurance plan
You are Required to Educate my kids
You are Required to Provide other benefits to me & to my family
My husband will do all of your yard work because he is also hard-working and honest. (except for that breaking in part).
If you try to call the police or force me out, I will call my friends who will picket your house carrying signs that proclaim my RIGHT to be there.
It’s only fair, after all, because you have a nicer house than I do, and I’m just trying to better myself. I’m a hard-working and honest, person, except for well, you know, I did break into your house
And what a deal it is for me!!!
I live in your house, contributing only a fraction of the cost of my keep, and there is nothing you can do about it without being accused of cold, uncaring, selfish, prejudiced, and bigoted behavior.

These regulations are not ment to be used as an end all umbrella for the illegal alein.

A worker without the proper legal status can not be employed, and now that obamacare has passed can not work for cash in amounts that exceed $600/yr, since that would necessitate a 1099 form, which requires a SSN or equivalent.
Illegal aliens aren’t protected by the laws they break by working illegally.

The only wish to refer to MEXICANs as “La Raza” since that is the only hispanic group they wish to promote. If you were to walk into an office of this organization and identify yourself as being originally from Cuba, YOU WOULD GET NO HELP AT ALL!!! They are only interested in throwing your tax money at MEXICANS, especially ILLEGAL IMMIGRANT MEXICANS. I wish to note that I have no problem with LEGAL immigrants of any race. My concern rests SOLELY with illegals who, through “La Raza” and other pro-mexican groups (including Mecha) have come here to take jobs, fill the prisons, soak the tax payers and establish a two tiered system of laws (sanctuary status in most cities) that affects ALL of us legal citizens.

Not why are they doing it… we know why. Its another building block in the democratic party’s slavery act of 2010. The question is: why are they not afraid of the growing resistance to their progressive tactics? There has been no let up. No second thoughts. Let me think. What is the reason? The progressives have some sort of inside information they are not sharing with the general public. Maybe Obama really has been thrown under the bus. Maybe the scheduled collapse of the dollar has been moved up. Could be, there is another great big terror attack on the calender. Could the LOCUST ARMY be on it’s way over to our shores from Europe? The world’s scientists have dicovered a huge sunspot that is expected to jar the Earth with enough electro magnetism to cripple us…is that it? Closer to the truth, is that, Mexico is in serious crisis mode and a HUGE influx of refugees is expected soon. Let us speculate.
#1 Obama has been thrown under the bus.—–entirely possible. He has failed politically. The globalists expected this. He’s not done, though. They plan on using him to rape Africa.
#2 The scheduled collapse of the dollar has been moved up. Also, possible, but not likely. the population has not been softened up sufficiently,. plus we still have firearms. And only about half of us are on the dole.
#3 Another BIG terror attack is waiting for ‘go ahead.’..This intel is fuzzy and not available in hard copy. we know the plans are in place waiting for the go ahead from the administration. To their credit they are looking for another, less destructive way to impose martial law. A Huge cut in entitlement spending could start rioting, like in Greece and France. Spank the people.
#4 The Locust army is heading our way…The timing is wrong, here. Although the invasion plans are on the table and the troops are being outfitted and armed.
#5 Scientists the world over have discovered suspot activity uprecedented in any record..This is true…have you been informed of it anywhere? China and Japan take this seriously and are making preparations.
#6 Mexico is in the midst of a national crisis that has not been seriously covered in our country. Venezuelans are henmoraging across Guatamala’s border with Mexico in record numbers and there is an insurgent army of armed crazies, stoned out on ‘PASTA’, a very toxic form of smokable cocaine, killing thousands of Mexican citizens all across the country. Expect some sort of announcement, soon, from the POTUS, concerning this issue.
Finally, maybe the progressives have gone, completely, irretrievably insane and are going to roll the dice and hope the numbers fall their way, in November and in 2012.

A melting pot is just that you bring the best of your home country with you but you also become a part of the country that you have come to. I don’t accept that the “barrio” needs to be in America. I don’t accept that our LEGAL immigrants need special treatment. If you as an immigrant want to be a part of America then let go of your “unique” heritage and melt in like my great-grandparents did. I am proud of the fact that I am Irish and German and some other things thrown in, but I am most proud of the fact that my forebears became a part of America and put their energies into becoming part of the whole and not trying to separate themselves into something special. I believe that the richness of all LEGAL immigrants culture can become a part of the American culture. But if you do not respect our laws in coming here then I can do without your input into my country.

Thank you for the post. I am thinking we, the American people, should acknowledge that Mexico may be right that our immigration policies are inappropriate, and maybe we should use Mexico’s as a model. First, though, we would need to address a couple things:
Border Fence: No longer related to illegal immigration, merely to help stop the flow of drugs (as in Mexico); if it curbs illegal immigration, that is only a side effect and not the primary intent.
Amnesty: 90 days to register for a Work Visa, Student Visa or Visitor Visa, as appropriate, with no repercussions (unless one fails the background checks); after that, arrest and deportation. Appeals and petitions filed at the US embassy in their home country, after deportation.
Non-US citizens and Non-US Legal Residents shall NOT:
1) Own real property;
2) Participate in any contract;
3) Vote;
4) Participate in politics, including protests and lobbying;
5) Hold any public office through election or appointment;
6) Attend public school;
7) Receive welfare or any sort of financial assistance; emergency medical treatment shall be provided and billed to the country of origin.
8) Gain employment;
9) Join a Union or any collective bargaining unit;
10) In the case of arrest, shall not have lawyer provided but will be allowed to contact their embassy (the country of origin shall pay for a lawyer, if they so choose).
In addition, the possession or use of falsified documents, or the use of another’s documents, shall be a felony and cause for immediate deportation.
