Obama’s Mao-Loving Manufacturing Czar Makes $163K

The White House released its annual report on employee salaries Friday, as required by law. Among the tidbits: Ron Bloom, assistant to the president for manufacturing policy, makes $163,000 a year.
That would be the same Ron Bloom seen espousing the view that the free market is “nonsense” and that “we kind of agree with Mao” in this video here:
Of the 454 employees listed, more than 30 percent make between $100,000 and $200,000, compared to 154 who make $50,000 or less.
Other information of note: White House chief of staff Bill Daley, press secretary Jay Carney, counterterrorism adviser John Brennan and senior advisers Valerie Jarrett and David Plouffe all make $172,000, the highest pay grade.

Posted on July 2, 2011 at 11:01amI was a public school teacher with more than one M.A. degree under my belt making 28,000 years ago in Texas. I attended a private university and graduate schools at two more private universities, so the cost of my education was right on up there “way back when”.
Anyone working a menial, do-nothing but sit on your fat backside, government job making over $5,000 a year, should be fired immediately, right now. And, that includes the man usurping the Presidency of the USA.

This is another place where we could start cutting the budget, get rid of these people collecting our money that do nothing but add to the cess pool in WAshington. At the least we should be able to see a job performance sheet that shows us exactly what they do and if we are getting our moneys worth.

Get a speaker cable that has a miniature plug on one end for the computer and the appropriate plug for your TV. Select the input mode to your tv using your remote and pick the input for a computer, all flatscreen and newer TV’s have this option built in. Sit back and enjoy GBTV. :o)

To me it would appear there is a government within a government. I mean think about it. Obama really does not work with the Congress (Reid and Peloski except them} the Libya incident he does not go to the Congress for their in put, he just does what ever he wants and forgets the rules of the constitution.It is like he is writing and enforcing his own constitution in action rather than writing it for all to see.
The Czars are a perfect example. He does not have to get permission from Congress, and the Czars answer ONLY to him.Their pay is higher than the private sector larger and larger the government grows, and know one can stop him. He has a low self estem of himself even though he is arrogant and self pleasing to boost his ego.He will do what ever will make hime look important and that in it’s self is very dangerous to our country.
He has taken our country to brink of destruction he must be stopped. The power the people have is to vote him out in 2012. If this is not done I believe this country will no longer be a free republic.

First of all, the salary cap is 172 not 200 so it’s misleading to make the range that high. In other words, stating 30 percent make between 100,000 and 500,000 is equally true – yet suggests a broader range than actually exists.
Secondly, the phrasing would suggest that the amount of people making over 100,000 is greater than the amount making 50,000 or less when in reality the latter is holds the greater proportion.
Lastly, are we to presume that 163K (the salary the article focuses on) is somehow a grotesque amount of money in today’s economy? It is upper middle class, yes, but it is by no means over pay. If you want to claim that 163K is too much money for one person to make then why is there such an uproar over demanding the richest 10% pay AN EQUAL PERCENTAGE in tax? The top 1% literally makes MILLIONS of dollars per year. But that is not too much?
You Blazers think you know the way this world works, but you’re just vomiting up that which was spoon fed to you by your economic oppressors. When it comes time to go toe to toe (as you all seem to be rooting for) I assure you; you will either wake up or sleep forever.

Obama wants the power to tell any and all I am the prez you do what i say. Instead of takeing in the knowledge from those who are wiser and can help our country.

His reference to the free market was a reference that while the US is a free market, many of our trade deals do not impose a free market on the trading partners such as China, Japan and many others. If these and other countries can subsidize their steel industries and under the guise of free market we let their under priced steel damage our steel industries and now other industries that is bad policy. It accurately points out the with respect to many of our trading partners and industries the notion that there is well functioning free market is a joke. You really can’t have a partial free market.

Posted on July 2, 2011 at 4:44pmI downloaded the info on XL and some pretty interesting things popped up: (1) total expenditures for WH staff per annum = $37,121,463; (2) First Lady has 10 staff designated solely to her and 4 she shares with hubby (but I’m sure a lot are left off) = $1,170,800 (michelle is expensive); (3) one advisor, namely Patricia G. McGinnis receives “0” salary (#259).
Something else became abundantly clear: There are one heck of a lot of advisors, assistants, special assistants, deputy assistants, etc. I think BO should just write an Executive Order to dismantle the Congress and Senate entirely. He has enough WH staff to run the country himself. Solve a lot of problems.

It’s pretty messed up that every time “socialist” principles are instituted in governments, it has to be accompanied by outright corruption. If these people actually believed the principles that they preach, they would not allow themselves to accept such ridiculous salaries. I am an avowed socialist, and I am ashamed to be associated in the public arena with Obama, and all of the people in his employ who claim to be of my same point of view, while perverting the very fundamental aspects of that viewpoint. I realize that the majority of the people who read and comment object to the ideas of Marx and Socialism, but please at least understand that Obama and his administration are not true Marxists, and do not represent those of us who are.
