Posted on September 2, 2010 at 12:50pmLooks like it was designed and decorated by the Room Store. There is nothing special about the Oval Office anymore — it looks like a model home in a mediocre neighborhood.

Posted on September 2, 2010 at 12:06pmI think it looks good, though I have to wonder why he’s spending my money on this. So many people can’t afford to paint a room, nontheless completely remodel – thanks to his policies and his demand for more of our money. I wonder what the taxes from my next psycheck will pay for… Maybe we can paint the green room red? I wouldn’t put it beyond him.

Posted on September 2, 2010 at 6:23amI loved the wallpaper – 11+ years ago. So very ‘90s. Bought wallpaper exactly like it at Home Depot and papered my bathroom all by myself – now it’s ready for redecorating too; however, I’m in sacrifice mode as per directions from our lofty One. Aside from BHO’s unfortunate color and furniture choices and the creation of a new decorating style (trailer chic?), the fact he has brought yet another facet of his misdeeds into the White House as well as tied interior decorating to his ideology is too ironic – if not downright scary. Rewriting history by attributing a quote – not to the right person, but to the person he wants to give credit to; and literally weaving his misconceived collective salvation ideology into the White House carpet (with the nod to Teddy the progressive republican – maybe Teddy had some good going on in other ways, I guess…sigh). I don’t even want to imagine the ways BHO has defiled this office.

Lets be fair, no tax dollars were used. The author of this piece forgot to mention that pesky FACT. Thank God for President Obama

Report Post »Nonsense! Unless this “president” wrote a check from his personal account, IT WAS TAXPAYER MONEY! Where do you think the Government gets money? It all comes from the taxpayer, even if they borrow or print it. Maybe George Soros gave Barry an early birthday present. pfft!

Posted on September 2, 2010 at 4:15amIt is unbelievable that this president and his wife would take two expensive vacations in one month, plus spend a fortune to redecorate the oval office in a time of dire economic crisis. They will both be hearing from We. the People very shortly. The are NOT going to like what we have to say with our votes.

Posted on September 1, 2010 at 6:54pmI can‘t even watch President Obama give a speech and I definitely can’t wait until his term is over but, with that said, I actually like what he’s done with the place. Most presidents redecorate when they take office and I’m surprised he waited this long to do it. I think I would do the same. I mean he is the President of the United States! He should be able to have an office that he enjoys.

Posted on September 1, 2010 at 4:49pmDoes anyone responding remember what the previous palette was? Quick! Google a picture before you respond! It was neutral, too! Bush also spent $62,000 on the rug alone. But I’m sure that if this site was around back then, most of you would have offered that up and been equally upset…

Posted on August 31, 2010 at 11:04pmAll I see is Blah blah blah and has anyone noticed that there is no patriotic colors any were in this photo. Other than the presidential seal you would think you were in a large hotel room. Good thing he kept Abe and Washington to bad I Almost Fell Asleep before I noticed them.

Posted on August 31, 2010 at 3:58pmJust like Obama, when he opens his mouth BLAAAABLAAAABLAAAA, so now the decor matches his messages. I likes the old colors better, these tones are not very presidental strong. Something you might find in a vacation home. Whats next, casual Friday? or maybe Mon-Fri. They redecorate while I strugle to keep my business going and just putting gas in my tank. It all is just wrong..GOD help us, please!!!!!!

President Bush chose a more somber color palette than his predecessor, using shades of taupe, celadon and navy. (http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Oval_Office) W had no red, white, and blue motif, so what is the problem?

Posted on August 31, 2010 at 1:57pmIt looks like a neutral tan apartment room……you know it. Remember moving into your very first apartment when you went out on your own? Picture in your mind the standard apartment in a housing complex. They just converted The Oval Office into something a landlord would love. The room is about as exciting as watching paint dry, but I guess it fits the commander-in-chief’s personality.

Posted on August 31, 2010 at 3:47pmNor should our tax dollars be paying for vacations, either. Washington still doesn’t get it. It’s OUR Oval Office; OUR tax dollars. WE THE PEOPLE have been watching & taking notes. Our time to vote is near….

Posted on September 1, 2010 at 4:59pmObama has 65 days of vacation so far. At this point in his tenure, Bush had used 120. But I’m sure you know that and were equally outraged back then.
