Republican Congressman John Sullivan represents the 1st Congressional District of Oklahoma. Shortly after the President issued his veiled threat about Social Security checks being withheld and Senate Minority Leader Mitch McConnell pitched his “last choice” plan, the Congressman called into radio station KFAQ in his home state and spoke with host Pat Campbell. And he didn’t mince words:

I still think many voted for him so no one could call them a racist. Outside of a very few, there aren’t many in the white community. However, it seems anytime they don’t like something, the black community call Racism, like that Clyburn claiming he was called N word and spit on. Never happened! BREAKING NEWS: Minnesota Gov. Mark Dayton sent a letter Thursday to House Speaker Kurt Zellers and Senate Majority Leader Amy Koch, saying he “reluctantly” agrees to accept the Republican budget proposal from June 30 if it will end the government shutdown .
“Despite my serious reservations about your plan, I have concluded that continuing the state government shutdown would be even more destructive for too many Minnesotans,” Dayton wrote in the letter. “Therefore, I am willing to agree to something I do not agree with – your proposal – in order to spare our citizens and our state from further damage.”
Dayton said accepting the offer, with conditions, would bridge a $1.4 billion gap between him and the Republican leadership without any more drastic cuts to to essential services.
“If this gets resolved and gets Minnesota back to work in the next few days, then it doesn’t matter what people say about me,” Dayton said.

If that money were invested at nominal rates, say 5% return, it would be worth $1MM and throw off $50,000 per year, in perpetuity! And, at my death, the $1MM would be intact for my heirs! Instead, I’ll get a putrid $14,000 per year in ‘benefits’! So long as I’m not age-disadvantaged in the workplace, I’d agree, throw the damn program out! As it is, once I EARN $14,000, I’m working for 50-cents on the dollar until I get to $40,000, due to Social Security recapture! That’s a fine incentive! And, it is taxed to boot!

Report Post »Had we simply put our money into a mattress, it would take 17 years to take that out at the rate our social security checks come. And for us, 85% of our Social Security check is TAXABLE INCOME!!!
I doubt that we have put that much money into our investments, but we absolutely have much more than $500,000 in them. Yes, we have a comfortable retirement, but we worked hard, saved, and invested, but we are still living on half the money we made during our working years.

As a Tulsa business owner, we are proud to have a Congressman who is willing finally speak boldly and truthfully about this disgraceful excuse of a President. Obama is a sick and twisted deceitful radical who is out to economically destroy this country. Make no mistake — this is purely intentional by Obama to spend us off the cliff. Then he and his radical cronies can benefit from the spoils, implement fascism in full, and impose marshall law due to the chaos they are attempt to create (once the economy collapse).
Further, Obama is behaving like a dictator with all of his radical executive orders and dramatic regulatory changes that are crippling our economy (energy and labor laws in particular) and our freedom. More Congressmen and Senators need to grow some testicles. So far, only Michele Bachmann and Sarah Palin have had the courage to take on Obama and speak the truth with frankness.
I don’t think we have ever had such a corrupt, dishonest president and administration. Look at the ATF, the Black Panthers, Acorn, Union / NLRB rulings, TSA over-reach, and the list goes on. The Congress and Senate need to wake up and get their heads out of the sand. Mitch McConnell needs to resign he is so incompetent.

We saw it in New York after the special election following the Ryan plan after it was suggested Medicare etc would take a hit under his plan.
