I believe that there is something more insidious about this speech and others who are saying the same thing. I believe that they are trying to pave the way for the FCC to shut down Fox new, Glenn Beck, and others who disagree with the progressive agenda. There have been too many similar accusations and comments by left wing liberals lately.

Exactly right. Interesting how those on the left will always preach about ‘social justice’ and ‘enforced equality’ but we have yet to see one of them willing to give up HIS bank account, HIS salary, HIS portfolio, HIS house, sports car, etc. It’s just us, the ones at whom he’s preaching, who will have to sacrifice for the ‘good of the many’. And what Wallis apparently doesn‘t realize is that if this ’new day‘ of ’social justice’ (enforced redistribution of our paychecks) actually dawns, he’ll be thrown right under the bus before any of us- that would certainly be MY definition of ‘social justice’!

This man does not talk for me as a conservative. He distorts what conservatism represents. He makes assertions about Christians that may be projection on his part. He wants to remove the splinter in our eyes but refuses to see the plank in his own eye. He speaks of involuntary redistribution of wealth which is a communist tenet. He avocates taking Fox News and in particular Glenn Beck off the air denying their right to free speech. Fox is the only media speaking out against him and his allies radical agenda. He’s a progressive liberal and all that liberal stands for in Europe and in this country – power and control. The removal of a good portion of our liberty if not eventually all – e.g. Hugo Chavas.

The term social justice Christian is an oxy-moron, and if you are a democrat and call yourself a Christian, you probably need to re-examine yourself and go the foot of the cross. This man is a viper spewing poison everywhere he goes. Jesus is a two edged sword and if you are one of His soldiers, you need to know His word. Man, if I were surrounded by these sort of people I’d act like him too. But no. I was fortunate enough to be born in another country and come here and see with my own eyes that THIS land truly is the land flowing with milk and honey and that what you want can be attained with hard work and sweat equity. I have read my Bible 5 times, thank you. And Jesus called for each of us to love each other and take care of the needy. He said not ONE word about having the government take over our personal responsibility, take our money forcefully and re-distribute our wealth! It is up to each of us to make that decision, and we will be judged accordingly. We will be asked “how did YOU love your neighbor?”, not “how did you coerce your neighbor into the appearance of loving THEIR neighbor?” Jim’s message is a perversion of Jesus message.

Furthermore, he preached, healed and served the people…he didn’t sit on his derrier and whine. In old testament times, as it is today, the preist or preacher is supported by the parishoners. He was not a social justice advocate. Apostle Paul has a message for Walis and all who are perrverting the Christ’s gospel.

Grace and peace to you from God our Father and the Lord Jesus Christ, who gave himself for our sins to rescue us from the present evil age, according to the will of our God and Father, to whom be glory for ever and ever. Amen.

I am astonished that you are so quickly deserting the one who called you to live in the grace of Christ and are turning to a different gospel— which is really no gospel at all. Evidently some people are throwing you into confusion and are trying to pervert the gospel of Christ. But even if we or an angel from heaven should preach a gospel other than the one we preached to you, let them be under God’s curse! As we have already said, so now I say again: If anybody is preaching to you a gospel other than what you accepted, let them be under God’s curse!
Am I now trying to win the approval of human beings, or of God? Or am I trying to please people? If I were still trying to please people, I would not be a servant of Christ.

It’s always entertaining to me when social justice Christians attempt to use “the bible” to prove they are right. And then are forced to CHANGE what the Bible actual says in order to do that.

“Jesus was a social justice advocate. Go re-read your bibles. Go seel all of your possesions and follow me. Remember that one? Jesus wasn’t a capitalist. He was a social democrat.”

Let’s look closely at your own words here. Jesus said “Go seel (sell) all of your possessions and follow me”.

Let’s go back to the beginning of the conversation Jesus is having with the “rich young man”. The encounter begins by the young man asking Jesus “What must I do to obtain eternal life (salvation)?”

Jesus response is “If you want to obtain eternal life (salvation)-OBEY THE COMMANDMENTS”. That instruction from God comes FIRST.

The young men then asks “Which ones”. Jesus replies “Do not murder, do not commit adultery, do not steal, do not give false testimony, honor your father and mother, and love your neighbor as thyself.”

The young man responds that he has kept all of those commandments and asks “What else do I lack?”

THEN Jesus responds-”If you want to be perfect, go, sell your possessions and give to the poor, and you will have treasure in heaven. Then come, follow me.”

Now-if Jesus was teaching social justice, and loathed capitalism, He certainly wouldn’t advocate the “selling” of this mans goods! He would have told him to just “redistribute” his possessions equally among the poor! Jesus also promises the young man a greater form of wealth-that of the treasures of heaven-in exchange for him giving away his worldly wealth. Not exactly a selfless/profitless deal there. And the final instruction after “obey the commandments” “sell your possessions and give to the poor” is “Come, follow Me”.

IF and WHEN all “social justice” Christians can bring themselves to actually do ANY of those on their own, FIRST-maybe others would be prompted to join them. This means that they have to stop advocating “stealing” from one person to give it to another. They can promote the VOLUNTARY selling AND voluntary GIVING to the poor-but nothing else because Jesus Christ never did. They must stop bearing false witness against those who oppose them. They must obey God’s commandments FIRST, and sell their possessions, and give the proceeds to the poor, and then dedicate their lives to following Christ’s example.

When they actually DO what the Bible tells them to do (just as much as anyone else) and only then will they have any credibility when it comes to this story in the Bible. Until they can practice what they preach, they are no different than the rich young man.

Oh…and let us know when Jim Wallace is actually DOING what Jesus Christ did…healing the sick, preaching salvation (in the actual terms that Jesus sets it up) and doing good works among “the poor” . As far as anyone can prove to me, all Jim’s “ministry” does is sell literature, hold seminars, and offer “internships” where they train liberals how to sell more literature and hold more seminars. He of course flies all over the world spreading poison instead of love, and garnishing a six figure income for his “work”.

Man of God my rear end.

In the article he talks about Matthew 25 and Amos 5; neither of which talk about collective salvation in the way that Mr. Wallis claims. In fact they represent capitalism, not wasting, and loving the least of us; all of which big gov. is not necessary for.
Mr. Wallis needs to realize that we are REAL CHRISTIANS and have bibles on hand and know scriptures and that we won’t be fooled.
Also I’m pretty sure that the bible is pretty clear on the whole abortion and gay marriage thing

And He (Jesus) does offer a better more profitable deal. Also further reading on in the same passage Jesus promises because you can’t out give GOD that the rich man would recieve 100 fold if he would do as instructed. Dead on!

From Wallis’ 3-12-2010 “Invitation to Glenn Beck” (http://blog.sojo.net/2010/03/12/an-invitation-to-glenn-beck/) : “Why don’t we do that, on your show, or in some other venue. And let’s make this a civil dialogue and not engage in personal attacks on each other — which is never helpful in trying to sort out what is true. So let’s talk about the heart of the matter. Dearleader – “Social Justice” is just a euphemism for Marxism. Wallis and Soros are both Marxists.
“Every man according as he purposeth in his heart, [so let him give]; not grudgingly, or of necessity: for God loveth a cheerful giver. 2 Corinthians 9:6.”
Every man according as he purposeth in his heart … – The main idea in this verse is, that the act of giving should be voluntary and cheerful. It should not seem to be extorted by the importunity of others nor should it be given from urgent necessity, but it should be given as an offering of the heart.

@DearLeader – if Jim Wallis was intent on issuing a real attempt at dialogue with Glenn Beck on his show, why did he post on his own blog and with the HUFFPO when most people of common sense would go to the producers of FOX to issue such a request. Soros’ advisors knew how to communicate with Beck by going to his guys directly. I am sorry if you feel his invitations were adequate by disguising them within a radical context for the purpose of inpropriety directed towards Beck. How do we know that Wallis isn’t bluffing? He needs credibility as his message falls on deaf ears. Ask yourself this liberal, why would Beck repeatedly offer to speak to the most powerful man on the planet face to face and not Jim Wallis….hmmmm??? It’s like me asking to talk to Rahm Emanuel instead of just going straight to the president. A conversation with Jim Wallis would take a couple minutes of useless dialogue. Wallis has no weight or bearing to any situation and is an empty suit to say the least as he gathers like minded fools in foreign countries to make his obscure points. Beck would destroy him in seconds which would be time wasted for Beck. He wants the king of the issue and not the pawn on the chess table. Get a clue liberal, conservatives KNOW what GOD is and what FREEDOM really is. I am sick of people trying the disprove Beck through idiot outlets like MediaMatters, Politifact, and HUFFPO…Hahaha! Beck puts his neck on the line on his show every day and says what he believes and no one on any show at all has found his messages to be untrue and offered a retort that clearly defines Beck as a liar and opportunist.

Don’t waste our time with your useless jargon until you can associate yourself with someone who has the guts and integrity to put their money where their mouth is like Beck is already doing.

@Suttonea76- it appears that Jim Wallis has attempted to contact Glenn Beck directly.
“”He’s afraid of being challenged on his silly caricatures,” Wallis says. “Glenn Beck talks a lot when he doesn’t have someone to dialogue with. Is he willing to talk with someone who he doesn’t agree with? Beck did not answer numerous requests for an interview… Meanwhile, Wallis says he’s waiting for that public debate with Beck. “I’ll have it,” Wallis says, “anywhere he wants.” ” -Taken from March 2010 CNN article: http://edition.cnn.com/2010/LIVING/03/12/beck.boycott/index.html

Again, Wallis has been interested in dialogue with Beck for 9 months. Beck chooses to ignore the request (but has continued his attacks against Wallis and Wallis’ writings appearing in HuffPo and Soujourners. So Beck or his researchers do read Wallis’ articles. Wallis’ message has NOT “fall[en] on deaf ears.”) Beck disingenuously has moved the goalpost from honest direct debate with Wallis’ theology, to Soros. Soros is not a Christian pastor or theologian. Why not debate the issue of Christian social justice with the individual with whom Beck disagrees?

As for citing liberal sources whose opinions you disagree with, I have not done that. The letters I posted were authored by Wallis (primary sources) not opinion pieces regarding the Beck v Wallis debate. If you have the courage to read arguments that research and enumerate Beck’s misinformation and distortions– not simple anti-Beck opinion pieces– I DO suggest Media Matters.

And useless jargon? My writing does contain lingo or slang. I try to use very simple, direct language. And yes, it does appear that Beck is afraid to debate Wallis.

@ Suttonea76- IF Beck had accepted Wallis’ debate challenge and Wallis had backed out, Beck certainly would have let viewers and listeners know. I don’t listen to his radio program, but do watch his tv show and have heard nothing…

A person who has “guts and integrity” would agree to a face-to-face discussion of ideas. Unless of course Beck fears looking merely like the rodeo clown and entertainer he has described himself to be. http://www.nytimes.com/2009/03/30/business/media/30beck.html?_r=1&pagewanted=all

I think it swings both ways. Given the fact that our country has the 2nd highest corporate tax rate in the world…and shortly that will change to #1, I can understand why companies leave. Unions, although once serving for the good of workers now serve for the greed of past workers. I do understand the problems of keeping a business in this country. And although I am conservative I ask this question…WHY DOES EXXON NOT PAY ANY FEDERAL TAX?! They certainly are not poor. So there are problems on both sides. THE SYSTEM IS BROKE AND CAPILTALISM HAS BEEN HIJACKED BY UNSCRUPULOUS CHARACTERS, FROM ALL SIDES; JUST AS THE FOUNDING FATHERS WARNED. We need to address these issues and slash government spending and do away with the numbing tax codes. Do away with the tax code, people and corporations will not be able to scam it. A fair flat tax or straight consumption tax might work. Then everybody gives equally no matter what they make. 15% across the board for state and 10% across the board for federal. No more tax credits period. As far as taking money from someone that has earned it to give to someone else, it is wrong and immoral. If people would simply act with honesty and integrity we wouldn’t be where we are today. Is it so hard to remember the simple acknowledgement that “there but for the grace of God go I?” And Wallis would do well to contemplate the question as to why our government has been desperately trying to wipe Christianity and God from this country and our history.

Are we decline because we’re too materialistic, Jim? Or are we in decline because our government has become too bloated, has created a permanent underclass of entitlement seekers, and has borrowed so heavily to finance their overspending in order to consolidate and grow their power that printing money seems more viable to them than reining themselves in?!!! You and your ilk are the problem, Jim. But God is just, and I am sure you will someday experience the truth…in a very toasty environment…to be sure! (I’m not judging him…just hoping)

Mr. Wallis is a liar and a false teacher. The Bible warns of such people who would distort and pervert the gospel. He is much like the “Rev” Al Sharpton and the “Rev” Jesse Jackson…..they seek only to enrich themselves. They only “revernece ” themselves. Mr. Wallis’ own words have shown him for who he truly is…he is a “radical”. Not radical in the ways of Jesus, but radical in the ways of Saul Alinsky.

Aside from our bloated government we are in a decline because it is corrupt and has sold the American people out for a few trinkets. Keep sending our jobs overseas. Keep allowing other governments to exploit our laws in their quest for the almighty green. China is allowed to manipulate the yuan, pay their workforce $4 a day, put lead in toy paint, poison in baby milk… all for the accumulation of “wealth”. Then they sell their cr@p here, we buy it, thinking our government has enforced standards- hahahaha

The government has the power to move jobs overseas? I think not. It’s the companies moving jobs overseas because the Chinese work for $4 a day (and ungodly hours too) and Americans don’t. The Chinese made a better offer and because we’re unwilling to, we’re going bankrupt. That’s Capitalism, plain and simple. Too bad they’re so much better at it than us.

Companies are going overseas because chinese pay $4/Hr.?! You’re a joke that can easily be debunked. First my whitie tightie underwear wonder we could compete and pay $4 too but us capitalists are too decent to do that and make slaves out of US labor and besides the unions wouldn’t let us anyway but would rather go for $400 and destroy our competitive edge.

Oh! Last time I checked I believe they are looking for someone JUST LIKE YOU to go over to China to start their 1st union. So put your pants on, go over there and help em out. Pleeeeeeeeeeeease! Also it should be an easy job for you over there since they aren’t being regulated to death by Uncle Sam. Not, of course, that you would eeeeeeeever agree that US over-regulation is another good reason why US companies cannot compete with overseas markets and are forced to go there just to vainly attempt to keep their other dwindling US businesses stateside under further bureaucratic plunder. Oh dear me no! But I suppose it would be safer for you to stay here in your skivies and just play with yourself. I must agree with him that we are to caught up in materialism and lack a firm footing in our religious beliefs. But his answer is to strip the wealth from some and give it to others! Read Mark 1-9!

“Now the Passover and the Feast of Unleavened Bread were only two days away, and the chief priests and the teachers of the law were looking for some sly way to arrest Jesus and kill him. [2] “But not during the Feast,” they said, “or the people may riot.” [3] While he was in Bethany, reclining at the table in the home of a man known as Simon the Leper, a woman came with an alabaster jar of very expensive perfume, made of pure nard. She broke the jar and poured the perfume on his head. [4] Some of those present were saying indignantly to one another, “Why this waste of perfume? [5] It could have been sold for more than a year’s wages and the money given to the poor.” And they rebuked her harshly. [6] “Leave her alone,” said Jesus. “Why are you bothering her? She has done a beautiful thing to me. [7] The poor you will always have with you, and you can help them any time you want. But you will not always have me. [8] She did what she could. She poured perfume on my body beforehand to prepare for my burial. [9] I tell you the truth, wherever the gospel is preached throughout the world, what she has done will also be told, in memory of her.” (Mark 14:1-9)

In John 12:5 Judas Iscariot (translation Judas the Progressive) reprimands her, “Why wasn’t this perfume sold and the money given to the poor? It was worth a year’s wages.”

In neither verse did Jesus say, TAKE IT FROM HER – SELL IT AND GIVE THE MONEY TO THE POOR! So “Rev” Jim (Taxi reference) explain that!

“…the unbelievable sight of high government officials lining up with the cheap politicians, and labor leaders, with the openly avowed purpose of throttling the system which has made Industrial America the richest country on earth. The lineup was so general and so well organized that it prolonged the worst depression America has ever known. It cost millions of men their jobs, because those jobs were inseparably a part of the industrial and capitalistic system which form the very backbone of the nation.

During this unusual alliance of government officials and self-seeking individuals who were endeavoring to profit by declaring “open season” on the American system of industry, a certain type of labor leader joined forces with the politicians and offered to deliver voters in return for legislation designed to permit men to TAKE RICHES AWAY FROM INDUSTRY BY ORGANIZED FORCE OF NUMBERS, INSTEAD OF THE BETTER METHOD OF GIVING A FAIR DAY‘S WORK FOR A FAIR DAY’S PAY.

Millions of men and women throughout the nation are still engaged in this popular pastime of trying to GET without GIVING. Some of them are lined up with labor unions, where they demand SHORTER HOURS AND MORE PAY! Others do not take the trouble to work at all. THEY DEMAND GOVERNMENT RELIEF AND ARE GETTING IT. Their idea of their rights of freedom was demonstrated in New York City, where violent complaint was registered with the Postmaster, by a group of “relief beneficiaries,” because the Postmen awakened them at 7:30 A.M. to deliver Government relief checks. They DEMANDED that the time of delivery be set up to 10 o’clock.

If you are one of those who believe that riches can be accumulated by the mere act of men who organize themselves into groups and demand MORE PAY for LESS SERVICE, if you are one of those who DEMAND Government relief without early morning disturbance when the money is delivered to you, if you are one of those who believe in trading their votes to politicians in return for the passing of laws which permit the raiding of the public treasury, you may rest securely on your belief, with certain knowledge that no one will disturb you, because THIS IS A FREE COUNTRY WHERE EVERY MAN MAY THINK AS HE PLEASES, where nearly everybody can live with but little effort, where many may live well without doing any work whatsoever.

However, you should know the full truth concerning this FREEDOM of which so many people boast, and so few understand. As great as it is, as far as it reaches, as many privileges as it provides, IT DOES NOT, AND CANNOT BRING RICHES WITHOUT EFFORT.”

      Wallis Admits to Soros Funding

Jim Wallis has admitted that Sojourners has received funding in the past from liberal billionaire George Soros’ Open Society Institute.

Last month, Marvin Olasky asked Wallis to admit his affiliations on the left when reported on the money from Soros in World magazine.

George Soros, one of the leading billionaire leftists—he has financed groups promoting abortion, atheism, same-sex marriage, and gargantuan government—bankrolled Sojourners with a $200,000 grant in 2004. A year later, here’s how Jim rebutted a criticism of “religious progressives” for being allied with Soros and MoveOn.org: “I know of no connections to those liberal funds and groups that are as direct as the Religious Right’s ties to right-wing funders.”
Since then Sojourners has received at least two more grants from Soros organizations. Sojourners revenues have more than tripled—from $1,601,171 in 2001-2002 to $5,283,650 in 2008-2009—as secular leftists have learned to use the religious left to elect Obama and others.

      Jim Wallis is a Marxist

Activist preacher and editor of the leftwing Christian magazine Sojourners
      Democratic Party operative
Apologist for communist atrocities in Cambodia and Vietnam
      Dedicated foe of capitalism
Contends that Biblical scripture calls for large central government to aid the poor

A self-described activist preacher, Jim Wallis was born into an evangelical family in Detroit, Michigan in June 1948. In the 1960s his religious views drove him to join the civil rights movement and the anti-Vietnam War movement. His participation in peace protests nearly resulted in his expulsion from the Trinity Evangelical Divinity School in Illinois, a conservative Christian seminary where he was then enrolled. While at Trinity, Wallis founded an anti-capitalism magazine called the Post-American which identified wealth redistribution and government-managed economies as the keys to achieving “social justice.” He also railed against American foreign policy and joined the radical Students for a Democratic Society.

In 1971 Wallis and his Post-American colleagues changed the name of their publication to Sojourners, and in the mid-1970s they moved their base of operation from Chicago to Washington, D.C. Wallis has served as Sojourners’ editor ever since.

In parallel with his magazine’s stridently antiwar position during the Seventies, Wallis championed the cause of communism. Forgiving its brutal standard-bearers in Vietnam and Cambodia the most abominable of atrocities, Wallis was unsparing in his execration of American military efforts. Demanding greater levels of “social justice” in the U.S., he was silent on the subject of the murderous rampages of Cambodia’s Khmer Rouge. Very much to the contrary, several Sojourners editorials attempted to exculpate the Khmer Rouge of the charges of genocide, instead shifting blame squarely onto the United States.

Following the 1979 refugee crisis in Vietnam, Wallis lashed out at the desperate masses fleeing North Vietnam’s communist forces by boat. These refugees, as Wallis saw it, had been “inoculated” by capitalist influences during the war and were absconding “to support their consumer habit in other lands.“ Wallis then admonished critics against pointing to the boat people to ”discredit” the righteousness of Vietnam’s newly victorious Communist regime.

In 1979, Time magazine hailed Wallis as one of the “50 Faces for America’s Future.” That same year, the journal Mission Tracks published an interview with Wallis, in which the activist evangelical expressed his hope that “more Christians will come to view the world through Marxist eyes.”

Wallis blamed America entirely for the political tensions of the Cold War era. “At each step in the Cold War,” he wrote in November 1982, “the U.S. was presented with a choice between very different but equally plausible interpretations of Soviet intentions, each of which would have led to very different responses. At every turn, U.S. policy-makers have chosen to assume the very worst about their Soviet counterparts.”

In the 1980s Wallis embarked on an editorial crusade in Sojourners to undercut public support for a confrontational U.S. foreign policy toward the spread of Communism in Central America. He published bitter denunciations of the American government’s sponsorship of anti-Communist Contra rebels against Nicaragua’s Sandinista dictatorship. After visiting Nicaragua in 1983, in the company of the pro-Sandinista group Witness for Peace, Wallis and then-Sojourners associate editor Joyce Hollyday co-authored several articles in which they whitewashed the brutality of the Sandinista government while condemning the United States for waging an “undeclared war” against “the people of Nicaragua.”

Under the sway of leftist evangelical movements like liberation theology, Wallis invited the Committee in Solidarity with the People of El Salvador (CISPES) — the public relations arm of the El Salvadoran terrorist group the FMLN — to take part in a number of initiatives with Sojourners. Among these initiatives was the so-called “Pledge Of Resistance,” a blueprint for mobilized protests and acts of civil disobedience to be carried out in the event that the United States were to launch an invasion of Nicaragua.

Wallis later expanded the Pledge to include opposition to any U.S. military action anywhere in Central America. It was not until 1999 that he would admit to second thoughts about his unquestioning support for the Sandinista regime. In the course of an editorial decrying both the U.S. bombing campaign against Iraq and its sanctions against Saddam Hussein’s government in Baghdad, Wallis conceded: “The Sandinistas were responsible for serious mistakes and violations of human rights, which led to their downfall no less than U.S. aggression did.”

To this day, Wallis remains fiercely opposed to capitalism and the free market system. In many interviews, he has stressed his belief that capitalism has proven to be an unmitigated failure. “Our systems have failed the poor and they have failed the earth,” Wallis has said. “They have failed the creation.”

In 1995 Wallis founded Call to Renewal, a coalition of religious groups united in the purpose of advocating, in religious terms, for leftist economic agendas such as tax hikes and wealth redistribution to promote “social justice.”

Asked in a January 2003 interview with the Harvard Political Review about the then-looming Iraq War, Wallis stated that because the United States had previously supported undemocratic regimes, it now had no right to preemptively oppose one in Iraq. “Saddam Hussein is an evil man,” Wallis said, “but so are many rulers around the world. Other human rights violators just as bad have been on the U.S. government’s payroll. … We have a history here that isn’t very admirable.”

More than a mere religious leader, Wallis, a registered Democrat, is also an adroit political operative, publicly portraying himself as a politically neutral religious figure whose overriding allegiance is to God. Always with the disclaimer that neither major political party can claim to authoritatively represent the values of religious faith, Wallis passionately contends that Republican policies tend to be immoral and godless.

After the 2004 presidential election, Wallis acknowledged that he had cast a vote for the Democratic candidate, John Kerry. Owing to the popular post-election consensus among Democratic Party members that their defeat could be attributed to their party’s disconnect from religious voters, Wallis became an overnight celebrity within Democratic ranks. Democratic strategists and politicians turned to him as the man who could sell their party to the coveted religious demographic. In January 2005, Senate Democrats invited Wallis to address them in a private discussion. Meanwhile, some fifteen Democratic members of the House made Wallis the guest of honor at a breakfast confab whose subject, according to The New York Times, was devising ways to instill support for the Democratic Party into the hearts of the religious faithful.

On December 14, 2005, Wallis organized an event where some 115 religious activists protested a House Republican budget plan’s spending cuts (of about $50 billion over a five-year period) by refusing to clear the entrance to a congressional office building. “These are political choices being made that are hurting low-income people,” said Wallis. “Don’t make them the brunt of your deficit reduction and fiscal responsibility.” Wallis and his fellow demonstrators were arrested for their actions.

According to a March 10, 2007 Los Angeles Times report, in recent years Wallis has sought to re-brand traditional slogans of the religious right, like “pro-life,” to refer to such leftist agendas as working with AIDS victims in Africa or helping illegal immigrants in America achieve legal status so they can continue to live with their U.S.-born children.

Wallis’s affinity for Marxism and socialism is evident in many things he himself has said. For example, in 2005 Wallis stated that private charity to help the poor was insufficient, and that true social justice could be achieved only by an omnipotent central government empowered to redistribute wealth: “We have to be very clear about this. Voluntary, faith-based initiatives with no resources, no resources to make any serious difference in poverty reduction, is not adequate. That’s a charity that falls far short of Biblical justice.”

In a January 13, 2006 radio interview with Interfaith Voices, Wallis was asked, “Are you then calling for the redistribution of wealth in society?” He replied, “Absolutely, without any hesitation. That’s what the gospel is all about.”

In a January 21, 2010 interview, Wallis recounted his first meeting with the Marxist Dorothy Day (founder of the Catholic Worker movement), whom he greatly admired. He said: “My Dorothy Day story happened in Chicago. She was just leaving … We were living in Chicago … So I ran 20 blocks [to meet her], and I’m in the parlor of Catholic Worker, and in walks the great lady. Dorothy wrote a book about her life called Love Is the Measure. But she wasn’t ever soft … very tough. [She said] ‘So, you were a radical student like me, right? You were a Marxist like me, right?’ [I said] Yeah.”

Wallis criticized the Tea Party Movement and derided the Libertarian values upon which the movement was based: “The Libertarian enshrinement of individual choice is not the pre-eminent Christian virtue. Emphasizing individual rights at the expense of others violates the common good, a central Christian teaching and tradition.” According to Wallis, “anti-government ideology just isn’t biblical.” Wallis also smeared the Tea Party Movement with the charge of racism:

Apparently Beck is on the right track they sure are protesting a little too much. ‘”They say they are Jews, and are not, but are the synagogue of Satan”. Revelation 2:9. If he was such a good spiritual advisor he should be very familar to God‘s word on those who don’t work. II Thessolonians 3:10 ” that if any would not work, neither should he eat.” He is pacing back and forth like a caged lion, because the truth is out there and they are trying to keep their team in tact and keep convincing them that sociial justice is the way. Psalms 28 and Psalms 37, read what God thinks about the enemies of God’s true children. GOD BLESS AMERICA, GLENN BECK AND HIS STAFF, KEEP UP THE GOOD WORK OF EXPOSING THEM AT THE ROOTS OF THEIR OPERATION.

It‘s socially just for the government to grow far beyond it’s scope, to ignore our laws and constitution, to take away our rights, to give rights to fish and animals over man and to virtually take full control of everyone’s lives including telling them what to eat and how much to eat????? Glenn Beck is right, you are a commie, so get out of my life, God and I do just fine without you!

If one single person had 99% of all the wealth in the world, this would not have anything to do with me. If you want wealth, go create it. If someone makes more, good for them, because that has nothing to do with my efforts to gain wealth.

Also, we’re not supposed to covet the belongings of our neighbor.

And still further, the Bible doesn‘t say we shouldn’t become rich, but rather that we shouldn’t allow our riches to control us – but that’s between the individual and God. See here:

      Prov. 10:4
Poor is he who works with a negligent hand,
But the hand of the diligent makes rich.

See, nothing wrong with being wealthy, per se.

At any rate, though, our jobs are not his concern. Nor are they that of the government. Job creation is the concern of the private sector.

So which one is it, Wallis? Are you a Marxist, Socialist or my bet a good ol’ communist. Here’s an idea, if you hate America so much, than go live in China! Maybe they will believe your crap, as for true Americans, all we hear is blah….blah….blah. I agree….you are pathetic. How much money do you give to all those poor people you keep talking about. Let’s here some numbers. My bet is that your as bad as Bite-me (Biden) with his lousey less than 1% giving in 2009. It always seems that the ones who complain the most are the ones who give little. How about this, go sell everything YOU have and give the money to those poor people you keep yapping about.

To be in his position working in the White House and go out and spew his hatred of my country is disgusting, and represents a hatred for the people of our country who pay fatty-fat his salary—-not by choice, but because he was given his role by the Robot who has exhibited little of Christ’s teachings!

Is all the hateful and negative trash belched out by Obama actually believed by the world? This may sound like a stupid question, but I’ve never seen it addressed before! Has anyone considered if the world actually knows that us regualar Americans are decent??

We have a big enough battle ahead of us just in this country. But if the entire world is against conservatives then the battle will be super monumental in its scope.

See, this is what I don’t get about todays world. This joke of a religious man wants to convince everyone he comes in contact with that we are the dangerous ones, when in reality his way of thinking has been responsible for more murders and destruction of freedom than any other in history.

Good is bad – bad is good. Up is down – down is up. If we were to look at this Biblically, it is a classic example of good vs evil. Even common sense would dictate that this is a battle between good and evil. This man is biblically illiterate and a danger to mankind.

He also insults most of the Christians in our country which is most of our citizens for not being for social justice. We are for all people being equal and helping our neighbors when they need it. He is like SNL’s church lady, telling us he is a much better Christian then anyone that does not have his point of view. Now isn’t he just special.

What’s really epically stupid about Wallis is that Beck actually agreeds with him. Beck also believes the sheep have lost there way and are being distracted by materialism as they are led to the slaughter. It just that Beck believes each individual needs to come to God on there own. Wallis wants to impose God’s charity to force redistribution of wealth. So much for the truth setting us free.
