Obama’s Toast to the Queen Triggers Awkward Orchestral Moment

The president and the orchestra at Buckingham Palace this evening were a bit out of synch.
When the president toasted the Queen the orchestra misunderstood a pause and what seemed to be a cue from the president for “God Save the Queen” to begin playing.
“Ladies and gentlemen please stand with me and raise your glasses as I propose a toast,” the president said, putting down his note cards and grabbing his glass. “To her majesty the Queen.”
The president paused, the guests stood, and the orchestra prepared to play.
But the president wasn’t done speaking.
“The vitality –“ the president said before the orchestra began.
Then the familiar tune – you might know it better as “My Country ‘Tis of Thee” – started up.
The president kept going: “ — of the special relationship between our peoples and for the words of Shakespeare to this blessed plot, this earth, this realm, this England,” the president said as the awkward moment played out.
The Queen looked ahead as the UK anthem played.
“To the Queen,” the president finally said.

2. Reading from 3×5 cards like a kid in 9th grade.
3. Doesn‘t recognize his host’s national anthem or the room standing at attention.
4. Queen has to whisper to him as he persists with toast. Give me a second here. haha
Perhaps he could speak freely and not use notes or teleprompters on topics he understands. A topic he is familiar with like the Saul Alinksy topic he was teaching in that often used photo of him at the chalk board. Which by the way is readily identified by the left. The masses just see him at the chalk board and think he must be smart.

This video doesn’t show it all. Wath the video with the Queens speech and Obama’s response. The Queen gave a good toast. When in a guest’s house and addressed in a toast, you reply in kind but you shouldn’t attempt to upstage your host nor should you speak longer. This bafoon spoke 3-4 times longer than the host and began giving history lessons on winston churchill. He also is reading from 3×5 cards. I think I did that in Speech Class in 9th grade. Then he doesn’t recognize the national anthem of his host and continues to speak while the whole room is at attention. I was watching it live. I felt embarrassed. Did the music start early? yes. But there was allot more going on here.

If he was really honest and sincere, and wanted to make up for the shameless act of removing the statue of Winston Churchill from the White House, he would have just honestly stated what is in his heart, and mean it. There would be no need for que cards, telepromters period. Just say what’s in your heart, and state what you feel.
3×5 cards at such an honorable and royal event, should be a hard slap to the face, of anyone that hasn’t realized yet, that this man is totally out of his element, completely clueless, very dangerous and, a very real threat to all of man kind.
He needs to be voted out, and sent packing in 2012.

“Investors” and lenders simply restructured debt, but they are the same people and Fiat, bless their hearts gained the company and will gain up to 73% of it over the next two years without having invested a single real dollar.
Meanwhile, legitimate bond holders, as they were with GM, were wiped out and vilified by President Obama – retirees, with their entire life savings were robbed and the companies were handed over to what I view as nothing more than well dressed thieves.
Celebrate that if you want, but please, spare anyone with a brain the utter Bovine Scatology under the myth that this President has done a dern thing for the American people. He‘s done nothing but ensure that the world’s major currencies will collapse.

Chrslyer paid back its loan to the Treasury and simultaneous took a loan out from the EPA, so they applied for a new credit card to pay off their old one. So exactly what is the positive here? Kind of like the GM CEO claiming they paid off their loan in full after like 6 months and then it came out that they did the same thing that Chrslyer just did. Let me explain it in even simpler terms. Imagine I have $50 in my left pocket and and nothing in my right pocket. Then you pay me back the $40 you owe me so I put it in my right pocket and then you ask me to borrow some money, so I take the money out of my left pocket and give it to you. C’mon… really … let’s just be honest! Chrysler paid back their loan by using the stimulus money was that taken from the American taxpayer. And for successfully saving the auto industry, he only managed to prop up a dying company that deserved to fail because of it’s grossly ineffective and ineffiecient business practices. Another company would have come in to fill that void.
As for UBL – good! We finally got him … at least he didn’t manage to screw that up … that was a no-brainer!

Try again. Yes they paid back the government loan because they borrowed the money form private lenders to pay it back so that the government wasn’t in charge of them. They have not yet recovered.

I am not so sure the orchestra messed up… it seemed to me that everyone else knew what was going on and was keen to the protocol, except the president. Its very appearant that he screwed up protocol. When a head of state visits the queen, the entire visit is laid out in a protocol manual for each visit and its noted down to the exact second what is to happen and when. PBS has a show called Monarchy – The Royal Family at work ( http://www.pbs.org/opb/monarchy/ ) which does explain state visits and state dinners and how everything is handled.
If the Orchesta messed up, then how come no one else picked up thier glasses when the orchestra started playing? It‘s clearly because Obama didn’t know what he was doing.

It’s what separates the civilized world from the savages. It‘s highly insulting to talk over anyone’s national anthem. If Obama had looked up from his notes long enough, it might have registered that he was the only one in a very large room not standing in honor of the English anthem. The fact that the president of the most powerful nation on earth could completely disregard the respect owed our closest ally is either embarassingly ignorant or deplorably intentional.
