Occupiers Disrupt Pro-Life Event by Dumping Condoms on Catholic School Girls

A pro-life event at the Rhode Island State House was disrupted by Occupy Wall Street protesters who heckled speakers and dumped condoms on Catholic girls in the crowd.
Last Friday, an estimated crowd of 150 pro-life supporters (including a reported two dozen legislators) had assembled in the rotunda of the State House for the 39th annual Pro-Life Rally, but they were prevented from speaking by members of Occupy Providence and other OWS sympathizers who shouted and chanted during speeches, held signs in front of the faces of speakers and prevented the delivery of the closing prayer by local Catholic leader Father Bernard Healey.
Rhode Island’s Right-To-Life Executive Director Barth Bracy was the scheduled keynote speaker, but the chanting and shouted made it impossible for him to deliver his speech. Bracy told Fox News radio that one Occupier climbed to the third floor balcony and dumped a box of condoms on a group of Catholic girls gathered below. Mr. Bracy wondered:
“What kind of individual throws condoms on Catholic school girls?”
The Providence Journal had a camera at the event and posted a video with the title “Abortion rights Occupiers crash RI Right to Life rally.” However the video is edited and without showing any of the chanting and disruptions alleged by Barth Bracy and Fr. Healey.
This is not the first time OWS members have been involved in disrupting pro-life rallies. Just last week in Washington, Occupiers disrupted a peaceful prayer vigil and march being held by the inter-denominational faith group CEC For Life.
Protesters tried to surround and intimidate those gathered. At one point they stood within inches of the musicians and people praying and began screaming. Lifenews.com reported that some in the crowd attempted to engage the Occupiers in a discussion, but “few would stop yelling long enough to speak with these courageous young people.”

If we are to be civil, defending those who spew hateful rhetoric and violence whether they are Christian, Atheist, Pro-life, Pro-choice should not be. Are not these some of the reasons a woman aborts, she cannot afford the baby, the baby will hold her back from achieving her goals etc.
No one is advocating taking womens socalled rights away which OBTW way should be equal to anyones rights in this country under the Constitution and Bill of Rights. ProLife is just saying if you get pregnant you should not have permission to kill that baby. That baby has rights too! That baby is an innocent and most unprotected future citizen of these United States. What about that Babys Rights? Ummmm?

There aren’t a lot of KKK rallies in many states but in Texas whenever there are KKK rallies the police are called out just to keep the peace and make sure nothing violent goes down. I know the police are already busy but getting a few out there to try and keep the peace would be incredibly helpful. I will say that there are a lot of hypocrites in the Pro-Life movement. If you believe that a fetus is a human life. Then it should reasonable to stop anyone from taking that life.
If I lived next to a concentration camp in Poland in the 40’s and I knew my neighbor was going to kill Jews the next day, I would have no problem stopping him. The Pro-Lifers will say that it is wrong to take a life to stop this massacre and the Pro-Deathers will say that abortion is legal and that fetuses aren’t people. The Nazis said the same thing about Jews. It’s okay to kill them because they aren’t human.
The stupidest argument I hear is “It’s my body”. For nine months the father has no say in the future of his child because “It’s my body”. Then, WHAM, nine months later it suddenly become his financial responsibility, because a miracle has happened and it’s now half his! This makes no biological or logical sense.

I did a google search and no local media has reported on this. i found a story from the Blaze and Fox news, and then Christian blogs. There has been discussion of forcing OR nurses to participate in abortions. As an OR nurse I have seen the result of miscarriages, not a pretty sight. While I am not committed one way or another I would quit nursing rather than compromise my beliefs. I wish every pro abortion person could participate in the delivery of one miscarried fetus before they were so quick to form an opinion. In fact it is groups like Planned Parenthood who do not want to show women pictures of the their ultrasounds or of aborted fetuses. I wonder why?

On page 20 of their study, they find that out of all terrorist attacks since 1970, 58 have been conducted by the far right, while 364 have been conducted by the far left. Only 14 have been conducted by religious groups. You’ll have better luck fooling people on a blog on MSNBC or the Huffington Post.

Sure there are hateful people in every walk of life, but in my experience, it appears that those who choose not to believe in God are much more angry and bitter than those who do believe and try to follow His will.

I don’t know you or fox, so I can’t say that you guys are bitter people, but the statements you post sure do reflect at the very least consistant agitation. You don‘t have to answer and I’m not trying to enrage you, I just really want to know.
I know why my friend is bitter, but its because he doesn‘t understand some things that would explain the situation he’s in. He chooses to look at the events surrounding his life somewhat incorrectly since he doesn’t have all of the information he needs. That, sadly, is partially my fault.
Anyway, sorry TMI, so I was just curious what your take is on the angry/bitter scenario.

In my job I see the health complications, regret and devastation that comes from an abortion. These doctors could give a rat’s about them once they have paid and left their building. When I can get them on the phone they have actually said “she’s not my problem”. I have even seen some deaths and cases of infertility. And by the way dingus, women have the choice before they get pregnant. Let’s be honest, it only takes a minimal amount of responsibility not to get pregnant. Enjoy the awesome rocking party your life must be.
