Occupy Boston Protesters Arrested for…Trying to Bring a Kitchen Sink Into Camp

The saying goes “everything but the kitchen sink.” But at Occupy Boston, it’s more like, “everything including the kitchen sink.”
That’s because a scuffle broke out between police and the occupiers after the protesters tried to bring a kitchen sink into the encampment and police confiscated it. The occupiers claim they were just trying to comply with the city’s order to clean up.
MyFoxBoston.com reports three people were arrested:
One person was arrested for allegedly assaulting a police officer while two others are facing disorderly conduct charges.
Occupy protesters told FOX 25 the scuffle beginning over a kitchen sink that was brought into the camp in an attempt to address health concerns raised at a hearing on Thursday.
Police say they confiscated the sink and put it into a police car. Arrests were made after 75 to 100 protesters moved in and surrounded the car as it tried to move down the street.

By the way, Do the union plumbers in that town know these people are trying to install a sink? They need to protest the protestors for taking away their job!!

Posted on December 2, 2011 at 6:59pmDaniel, I scoured the news every day for a month trying to get a handle on what the focus of the “Occupy” movement is. I watched all the taped interviews and YouTube videos. Guess what I discovered? There was no unified consistant theme or reason for this movement! There were a lot of individual reasons given, but they varied so much that I finally determined that no two people have a consistant idea of why they were protesting. Some of the ideas given by the protestors were so stupid as to make one wonder why they were not protesting their colleges or universities for a tuition refund. What happened to all the money raised at the occupy protests? Who got it and what did they do with it? You people were used by the unions, socialists, communists and other left-wing organizations to do their agitating for them. How does it feel?

Posted on December 3, 2011 at 11:34amIt is really too bad but it looks like portions of this young generation have been indoctrinated to the point that critical thinking has been replaced with “critical wishing upon a star”. Some of these kids are too foolish to realize that they are being used. Others could probably be reasoned with but honestly this “movement” is really getting old. I heard the list of demands from various locations and they are not even close to touching reality. I have come to the conclusion that given the fact they are not realistic the goal is simply the destruction of our country. My advise to them, you had better check yourself as there are a lot of Americans that respect the oath they took. That is a big difference from other countries that were over run by non freedom lovers…….

Yes our economy is in the tank right now. Yes there are a handful occupiers that make sense. That being said the protestors are not helping. Many of them are jealous of the wealthy. Many college kids there feel they shouldn’t be responsible for the loans they took out. Many of them have shut down businesses in the areas they are protesting. They are costing us all money. They have destroyed private property. Apparently they feel they are above the law. Some quit their jobs so they could protest instead of working for “the man”! To answer your question yes they should take a job even if it doesn’t cover their bills. Maybe if they put in their time and effort they could advance to better jobs. Last year a well eduacted friend of mine lost her job, couldn’t find another, and is working at McDonalds. She started at 8 an hour. Now she is a manager making 15. Yeah I know still not a lot but better than nothing!
This country is awesome becuase people have the opportunity to do well for themselves. Why are you so jealous of the rich and why should they have to take care of you or anyone else for that matter? The top earners of this country pay something to the tune of 53 percent of the taxes. Time to stop being jealous. Time to man up and take responsibility for yourself! Last time I checked this was America not Russia

Posted on December 2, 2011 at 11:53amThis really is the level of problem solving and critical thinking in our colleges today? Bring in a kitchen sink because you were told to clean up the area you’re illegally camping on? Ok…I’m going to change my mind on something..I’m no longer going to say “get a job” to these clowns because clearly they’re unemployable. They’re unhirable. It‘s no wonder they’re demanding the tax payer pays for their existence…they’re incapable of supporting themselves. These aren’t just losers…they’re drooling idiots. Report Post »As to throwing a tempertantrum, we asked to police several times why they we taking a sink. We asked every officer present (yes, every single one) and no one had an answer. We stated flat out that they gave us one single reason why they were taking the sink, we would leave and let them have it. They didn’t have one. In fact, if you looked around at some of the videos taken by people actually there instead of fox news (who didn’t show up until well after the CD started) you would see the police even asking their superiors why they were taking the sink. They had no answer. What this article didn’t tell you was how one girl was sent to the hospital because a cop stomped on her leg, or the several people who were kicked and punched (myself included). They don’t mention the undercover who tried to start a fight after the event. They don’t mention how this “scuffle” was entirely peaceful protestors and the only one to act violently were the police. They don’t mention how the police broke the restraining order that was set less than 12 hours before the event (meaning it was illegal to take the sink anyways). They don’t mention how they threatened several people with arrest for drawing on the sidewalk with sidewalk chalk. Don’t be a presumptious ass and assume were entitled children

Posted on December 2, 2011 at 12:36pmTWITCH – Seriously? Hot dog stands need permits…did you have a permit? A kitchen sink implies a little longer stay than a couple of hours…did you have a camping permit? Did your mother teach you to respect authority? We have ways to settle our being wronged, it’s called the court system. It may take awhile, ask a real hero – Marcus Luttrell – but justice will be done. Posted on December 2, 2011 at 8:35amFar as I’m concerned, the Occupoopers have overplayed their hand. The time is long past that they be removed from their little tent towns so regular people can again go about their business unimpeded. It’s just plain wrong to clog up streets, block businesses, and harass people doing a simple thing as holiday shopping. But these petulant spoiled brats are thieves, who not only demand to legally steal money from taxpayers but reserve ‘right’ to try stealing people’s holiday joy as well.
It’s high time police move in, clear the tent towns, and keep them cleared. I also hope the politicians who allowed this nonsense to go on for two months and still counting is voted out the next election. Or, better, is forced from office early by a gazillion angry voices demanding their resignations.

Posted on December 2, 2011 at 9:34amMaybe the cops should start making arrests, bring swift trials, and put these thieving little brats under house arrest with a transmitter strapped to an ankle for as long as the law allows. Then fine them to the max, too. Make them all lose their expensive laptops and iPods or whatever else to pay. And no community service sentences, either–cash on the barrelhead counted against their future credit rating until the bill is paid. The ‘movement’ allegedly has $300K or more, so let government raid it the way the tobacco companies got raped for $450 billion. ACLU lawyers will surely take the cases pro bono, so legal fees aren’t a problem for these dopes.
And maybe class action suits against the politicians who allowed this mess to continue. Bloomberg is a rich fat cat, so he should have to fork over some dough, too.
