‘Occupy L.A.’ Protesters Arrested — After Trying to Cash $673 BILLION Check

Occupy L.A. Protesters Arrested — After Trying to Cash $673 BILLION Check

Payday? Not quite. Ten demonstrators were arrested in downtown Los Angeles on Thursday after the group went into a Bank of America branch and tried to cash a check — for $673 billion.

The protesters — part of the “Occupy L.A.“ and ”Refund California” movements — tried to cash an over-sized check made out to the “people of California,” LAPD Lt. Paul Vernon said, according to local station KTLA.

The protesters — six men and four women — were arrested after they sat down and refused to leave the bank, police said.

Demonstrators also covered Bank of America ATMs with yellow caution tape, KTLA reported.

According to the Los Angeles Times, several hundred people took over a nearby intersection earlier in the day, prompting police to respond in riot gear.

“Occupy L.A.” protesters have been camped out in front of Los Angeles City Hall for the past week.

This protest has turned into an insane asylum on the streets. Hypocrisy of the greatest kind. Why don’t they ask Warren Buffoon for a share of his profits from BofA and get some cash money from Soros and Gates too! How about the Obama donation$$ from liberal billionaires. Redistribute it to the unemployed protesters. Its not gonna happen. If these and other billionaires feel so bad about not paying taxes write those checks directly to the overtaxed individuals. Put your money where your mouths are Hypocrite Billionaires. When did it become a crime to make money in America? Apparently it wasn’t a crime or greedy for these guys to make money! Hmmmmm….And Hollywood Liberals -Damon, Garofalo, Baldwin write some checks to these peeps okay. Your not going too give any money too the overtaxed are you… its much easier to ******** the people then to actually put your money where your mouth is. I pay my fair share. The government does not give me enough in return to justify more taxes on my family.
As a shareholder of BerkHathaway I am sickened by Buffetts new dementia delusional views of the economy. Flat tax or Fair Tax is the solution. The solution is not taxing individuals at different rates. Lets tax this person at this rate because he is a wealthy fat cat that makes too much.
Let tax everyone the same and equal for everyone…. Lets simplify the tax code peeps. Under the Buffett rule Billionaires will still be able to dodge tax obligations.

This is in reference to Snowleopard “Top down, bottom up, inside out.” In reference to the Wallstreet protester who took a dump on a police car. Tie a rope around his pants between his legs, throw the other end around a street lamp. Raise him off the ground top down-bottom up and then take a pressure washer and skin the idiot of his clothes and epidermis. Then leave him hanging, Top down–bottom up–inside out. See how many others would defecate out in the open. Also one way to get rid of the filth left by the protestors is water canons on large trucks. Sweep the protesters and their filth into the sewers where they came from.

I know they are planning on a big union backed, socialist rally on the 15th-sure wish we could have one soon after to show how the tea party does it, without filth, anti-semitism, ugly name calling, offensive placards, etc. I do not believe they will “occupy” much of anything once it gets really cold. They are contemptible, foolish kids, and the older people are the socialistic leftovers from the 60′s. I remember how stupid they sounded then, now I am concerned they are making headway with Obama’s help. We all need to beg for Divine help for our country. @Jenny — I have been hearing things from some of the union and progressive bands here in Phoenix via contacts who monitor such events and dealings; there is something stirring and all that most will agree on in Phoenix is the phrases “It begins, it begins…“ and ”There will be blood..”

Now honestly, given the hysteronics of most progressives and radicals it most likely means nothing; yet the fact also, when I consider the ranting and cries for violence and murder by Hoffa awhile back, I have to take this series of speakings and chants with a edge of caution.

Something is getting ready to go down.

Anyone with contacts or family in the armed forces stationed in the Continental US, ask them if there has been any kind of operational or deployment warning orders issued for possible riot control or security duty of government sights and such in the next few days…

Could very well be a case of some of the things I’ve read on what some would call “extreme” websites.

This is a plot by Obama and the left to build up simple minded people in rallies and picketing, escalate it to riots and violence and then Obama enacts Marshall Law and cancels the elections. Far fetched? but with what the Gov of N.C. said about suspending voting for a couple years and Peter Orszag saying we have too much democracy, it’s plausible now.
