Occupy Protesters Planning to Storm Shareholder Meetings

The Occupy movement’s infamously thorny relationship with business is about to get even more problematic. Reuters reports that the Occupiers have decided to target a new area of business for their disruptive brand of anti-corporate activism. Namely, they plan to protest shareholder meetings between stockholders and the CEOs of major companies, including Wells Fargo, General Electric, Verizon and Walmart. At the very least this decision marks them as willing to target bipartisan enemies – Verizon has a chummy relationship with the White House, and General Electric is renowned for being cozy with President Obama.

Even so, Occupy’s attack is more than a little odd, given their generally advertised feelings of contempt for corporate unaccountability. Shareholder meetings are one of the few places where every day people who own stock in a company can get answers, and having that process disrupted by protesters could interfere with the one area of accountability that still remains. Nevertheless, the group is pushing forward, as the Reuters story notes:

Organizers say they expect hundreds of protesters to target a broad range of issues from foreclosures to financing of “dirty energy” to immigrant rights to corporate taxes. The group says it will try to stop the Wells Fargo meeting from being held and force the company to hold a public “stakeholders meeting” outside.[...]

Wells Fargo spokesman Ancel Martinez said the bank respects the rights of Americans to assemble peacefully and welcomes a dialogue with its stakeholders. “We will be prepared to ensure the annual meeting runs smoothly,” he said.[...]

The protests are expected to draw a mix of labor union members, environmentalists, customers and clergy members. On the target list are General Electric Co, Verizon Communications Inc, Bank of America Corp, Morgan Stanley, Sallie Mae and Wal-Mart Stores Inc.

Does this seem like a method for sending a message that will resonate? Weigh in below.

I hope they can keep their plans secret, if word was to get out people might try and stop them. Idiots, absolute idiots! These people are like a small afternoon thunderstorm, lots of loud noise and the power goes off for a little while and then it’s over. Back to normal no real threat!

Occupy Wall Street is a study in lawlessness.
So is Eric Holder, The NBPP, Farrakhan, European austerity riots, and on and on.

“The coming of the [lawless one] is according to the working of Satan, with all power, signs, and lying wonders,” 2 Thessalonians 2:9

I seem to recall the ability to buy and sell being wrapped up in identifying with the lawless one.

“and that no one may buy or sell except one who has the mark or the name of the beast, or the number of his name.” Revelation 13:17

Am I the only one to see that our current ability to buy and corporation’s ability to produce and sell products, is being determined by what lawless ideology you subscribe to?

“And because lawlessness will abound, the love of many will grow cold. Matthew 24:12

“For the mystery of lawlessness is already at work; only He who now restrains [will do so] until He is taken out of the way.” 2 Thessalonians 2:7

Just some biblical end time verses that look closer to being fulfilled every day. I’m just saying.

Chris, you’re assuming the unionized police force will do something about it. Considering the amount of collusion I’ve seen between cops and Occupy, I wouldn’t bet on any arrests.

Let me tell you something. Real faith, and I don’t mean the controlling dribble these so-called Christian churches put out, but real faith, it fills your heart with positivity even if the mind is miserable surrounded by mindless people such as your self. My ankles and knees are messed up, but up until 4 years ago I was running about 80 miles per week, and I could run a 6 minute mile steadily for 10 miles. And even in my mental misery surrounded by knumbskulls like yourself, my heart could still push me like that.

Do you know when the song “American Pie” should have actually been written? In 1798, or 1814, or 1871, or 1913, or 1933, or 1968, and 1970 which is when it was written. But it could have fit in any of those years.

The battle lines are forming at every level of society between left and right. While Sharpton and Jackson stir up blacks demanding justice for Treavon, meaning, of course, conviction of his shooter regardless of what the evidence shows, and the lazy louts of the Occupy Movement with their hatred of capitalism, things are going to get ugly. Somebody is going to strike the match and then it’ll be OFF TO THE RACES. Just sayin’. That’s how it looks from here!

It is unfortunate that those from the 60′s who took enough drugs to impair their minds but not enough to kill them are still out there pretending the “sex, drugs and rock and roll” stuff is the way to go. Also unfortunate is that they occasionally procreated and raised little hippie cubs who are now occupying anything they see.

Time to take off the Guy Fawkes masks . Time to admit that this is just an arm of the anti-capitalst organization that gave birth to this Occupy Movement, Adbusters. Time to declare that this Occupy Movement is a direct attempt to cause civil disorder . Someone needs to run the Bill Ayers video at the Occupy event where he directly stated he gets up daily with the goal ” to destroy capitalism.” Sounds like a threat against the government to me.
