Occupy Seattle Mob Tries to Pull Off ‘Citizen’s Arrest’ of JP Morgan CEO

Occupy Seattle appears to be pushing hard for its Robespierre moment.
Last night, amidst all the chaos and destruction wrought by the Occupiers in Oakland, a less widely-reported mob incident occurred in Seattle that showed another insidious tactic of the Occupy protest movement.
The Occupiers are not just pushing ideas– they are going after individuals. In this case, JP Morgan CEO Jamie Dimon was their target.
About 500 protestors surrounded the Sheraton hotel last night, according to the Daily Kos, where CEO Jamie Dimon was making a speech to the University of Washington’s Foster School of Business. Hours after they surrounded the hotel’s perimeter and claimed they were going to conduct a “citizen’s arrest” on Dimon, protestors had to be dispersed with pepper spray by police in riot gear.
Just what, exactly, would the Occupy Seattle mob have done if Dimon had tried to walk out the front door? How would they have conducted their proposed ‘citizen’s arrest?‘ It’s a question that we should all consider.
Dimon snuck out a back door, though, so the world did not get a chance to see what the crowd had in store for him.
Ironically enough, Dimon actually expressed sympathy in his speech for the broad, anti-bankster message of the Occupy movement before he had to evacuate the premises. While Dimon may understand the roots of the protestors’ rage, he disagreed with the movement’s demonization of all individuals in the financial sector, stating that:
“They’re right. In general, these big institutions of America let them down. That’s not the same thing as to say that every bank was bad, every politician was bad. That’s where I would disagree.”
Dimon struck a note of hope in his speech as well, telling those in the Sheraton Ballroom that the American people should ”Keep the faith. I wish we hadn’t put them in this position. Remember those fundamentals always when you wake up: You are in the best country and it will come back.”
That somewhat positive, hopeful message was not echoed outside.
In front of the hotel outside, the Occupiers kept chanting “Whose Streets? Our Streets.”
This is not the first time Occupiers and their allies have singled out and attempted to terrify an individual. Last month, community organizers using Occupy as a launchpad marched on the Upper East Side homes of perceived enemies of their movement, including Dimon, Rupert Murdoch, and David Koch.
That mobs like last night’s Occupy Seattle rabble are singling out individuals for harassment and threats should be deeply unsettling to all Americans while Oakland smolders and other cities appear ready to follow down that anarchic path.
We must remember that mob justice can quickly turn to mob rule, much as it did on the streets of Paris in 1793.

Posted on November 3, 2011 at 2:39pmSeattle is liberal stronghold you are correct they do arrest or remove homeless people all the time, next to San Francisco Seattle has one of the largest homeless population, but that is because there are services for them like SF that attract these people from all over the country. They won’t hassle the protesters because they are progressives like the mayor and city council and county executives and Governor and state senate and congress. It’s political and hypocritical of them but what else is new when it comes to progressives. They have a right to protest but not a right to destroy public or private property. As for Dimon it wouldn’t bother me at all if they grabbed him and hung him from a lamp post, what I know about him and the other big four banksters hanging them is to good or to kind, set them on fire or feeding to hungry lions sounds more appropriate . Sorry for that point of view but we are not talking about people who deserve a day in court what they have done to us and the rest of the world calls for more immediate and capital justice. Take them to court and they will buy the judge, the congress, the senate and the president and get away with it. Hanging them from a lamp post would send a loud and clear message to the rest of Wall St clean up or swing.

Then they‘ll pull the trigger on marshal law to save all us Americans and the AmeriCan’ts and try to push the elections out until law is restored. Or making him King either I’m sure is fine with him. With the average sheeple viewing Borack as a hero and great uniter of the people. Conspiracy theory sure but I wouldn’t put it past him.
On another note, I think Mr. Dimon should have exited the building through the front just like any other working citizen with group of security staff equipped with less-than-lethal weapons (i.e Stun Guns). Leaving a pile of OWSer’s quivering bodies convulsing on the ground in their urine soaked drawers. Not that anyone would noticed the smell over the already existing stench. The longer these lunatics are allowed to infest public areas and fester within them…the greater the chance serious violence taking place. This mob was ready to drag a private citizen away for some kind of French Revolution-esque trial and sentencing..in short..a kidnapping…the ramifications of something like this taking place in contemporary America are staggering. They feel somehow entitled and empowered by law enforcement being told to “lay off”. Shows who the Nazis protect. Not the people, but the Robber Barons who get bailed out by the unconstitutional Federal Reserve.
Of course, why would they protect the People? The people pay their salaries right? WRONG!!!
When the people aren’t able to pay (and we aren’t- the entire country is drowning in debt), the Feds will just print money to buy off your police, increasing the debt, and the police already expect this to happen and go right along with it, allowing themselves to be federalized and militarized against the people.
After all, they’re nothing more than unionized entitled public servants getting bailed out by the Federal Reserve too.
When do the people get bailed out by the Fed? Never. Give them your house, car, and get ready for a chain gang in a FEMA labor camp. You owe 14 trillion+… all because the Fed decides to play Monopoly with our country and keep printing money to keep their shareholders in the game until the bank owns everything.

Posted on November 4, 2011 at 3:33amHIDDEN_LION, elected representatives follow basic security precautions, so you wouldn’t have gone down to the protest site. Once you have to negotiate with terrorists or they harm/kill you, you lose. So Rule #1: Don’t expose yourself needlessly. But this is not akin to a hostage situation, so your analogy doesn’t quite fit. Rather, it could be compared to the choice Daniel Pearl made. Pearl foolishly put himself in hostile territory, even though he was aware that he was a high-profile target. Sure enough, he was butchered and the whole thing was videotaped. I know these cockroaches aren’t jihadists, but you bet some of them would love to inflict bodily harm on a Republican majority leader. There’s a fine line between bravery and recklessness. Look at how many police officers have been injured, and we’re talking about men who are trained to deal with mobs. Thing is, they cannot use lethal force. Also, let’s not forget that Holder and the media are looking out for these pukes. When the day of reckoning comes, we go for the jugular.

As the election draws near, and if the numbers are not polling well for BHO, it is discovered that the OWS is planning to “Occupy Polling Stations” and create riots at polling stations nationwide. Reluctantly, Obama is forced to implement unprecedented measures in modern times to ensure the safety of the citizenry including the curtailing of 2nd Amendment rights and a postponement of the 2012 election until order is restored. The left will try to entice a violent right-wing response as the collection of now illegal weapons is undertaken in conjunction with the election postponement. If such a response occurs in various locations, lets say from a well-armed militia(s), and politicians become targets, a full-fledged implementation of martial law may take place. Posted on November 3, 2011 at 3:53pm@KRYPTONITE: It’s not at that point yet. I’m saying its not too late. Protect your home and your family and loved ones and prepare to weather difficult times, but we have to be the citizens we desire to see our country comprised of. We have to be the ones that can be relied upon to demonstrate a respect for life and liberty, even for those who differ in their political opinions, religion and lifestyles. The difficult part will be to adhere to those values in the face of anarchy. Violence must only be in self-defense and as the last resort and must not be hate motivated. It’s not too late and we must give no clear opening for our enemies to accurately accuse us of violent subversion. It must be clear to those average Americans that we are entirely different from the OWS movement. I have some friends who have not yet realized that there is a distinct difference between TEA party protests and OWS protests. It’s important that these individuals see us as lovers of peace and liberty and honorable and trustworthy individuals. That will make the difference. Let the left continue to elevate the madness and not allow ourselves to be drawn into confrontation and appear to be just two sides of the same coin. Like the Nazis and Communists were in the early to mid 20th century. Trusting God and a lifestyle centered in Judeo-Christian ethics will be vital for us to achieve victory over this movement and winning the majority of Americans to stand with us.

Report Post »It’s a little more complicated than that. The elites are Dimocratic because they are brainwashed by Ivy League schools to serve the Party. However, these geniuses thought they were electing another Bill Clinton. Granted, a few like Goldman Sachs are in the tank for Obama, but most were deceived. They now realize Obama is a commie who hates their guts, but they have been threatened and bullied into compliance. Obum is like their pimp; he slaps them around and cusses at them; he lets his mobs gang-rape them. So Wall Street will donate huge sums to Obama because they are afraid of him. He owns Wall Street.

Posted on November 3, 2011 at 2:27pm@High Tide — that is exactly what the protests are being used for; to push and push until the national guards and the Fed’s are put into place.
The fact is here that if this mob somehow go their hands upon the CEO of the bank, and made their ‘citizens arrest’ I could well imagine what would happen next. Recall well they now claim to have their own security and governences in each of the occupied areas…
Most likely there would have been a rapid kangaroo court followed by a swift finding of guilt and then his or her execution by the gathered mob.
Watch for that to be the next move, is the outright terror attacks and execution of the major business CEO’s and their families as well; especially bands supported by the unions.

Posted on November 3, 2011 at 2:34pmIt is bad that businesses and employees have to suffer, but to want the National Guard or any part of the government to become involved is far worse.
Remember what the leftists want:
Bottom up (Protesters creating chaos)
Top down (Citizens demanding action from the government)
Inside out (The left wins)
It is a fine line because when the government comes down, it will be down hard and then the leftists within the government will enact all sorts of agendas (inside out).
Be careful what you wish for.

Posted on November 4, 2011 at 4:20amThe national guard is exactly what we need. It is not controlled by obummer, it is controlled by the state. if the states would nip this, then obummer wouldn’t get the chance to declare martial law.
This is the only winning scenario. either we do nothing and the left continues to escalate the violence until they can declare martial law. or we take power into our own hands which gives the appearance that obummer needs to declare martial law. or the local and state forces take care of it as it pops up, using the nat. guard if necessary.
are there any other scenarios?
(yes obummer can take control of the guard, however the states have control until he does.)

Yeah, they did a real run around on you the last time they tried to pass open carry. Some smirking smug little twit adds a last minute amendment to do the opposite of the bill and badda bing, no open carry. I rode down to Florida this last summer, it was a shame to have to conceal all the time, I’m used to not caring much about imprinting, and even open carry up here in Ohio. And riding through Virginia on my motorcycle, 1991A1 Series 80 strapped openly on my belt…sheer heaven. Hopefully next time y’all can conjole the legislature more. I do know that cops in Florida are a nightmare and alot of them enjoy nothing more than harassing legal CHL holders.
