Occupy SF/Oakland Block Entrances to Businesses on Black Friday, Including Apple

“Occupy Wall Street” movement protesters from Oakland and San Francisco banded together on Black Friday to demonstrate and block customers to stores and streets in San Francisco‘s Union Square near the Macy’s Christmas tree lightning ceremony. ABC 7 reports on the Occupiers protest to corporate greed on one of the busiest shopping days of the year:

The Associated Press writes that the few dozen people in Union Square used signs to spread an anti-consumerism message. One, 9-year-old Jacob Hamilton, held a sign that read, “What is in your bag that’s more important than my education?” ABC reports that police remained nearby protesters to make sure that they did not interfere with the Christmas tree lighting ceremony. Following peace during the ceremony, protesters returned to storefronts using their bodies as a barricade. A video was posted on YouTube Friday showing the demonstrators attempts to block the entrance of a popular San Francisco Apple Store:

Not every San Francisco resident supported or understood the demonstrators decision to make their statement at the expense of families trying to enjoy the day after Thanksgiving, rather than “Wall Street.”

“That’s the wrong time, at the, kids don’t care, this is for the kids, it’s not for politics,” one parent said to ABC 7.

“If you put your abilities toward getting a job rather than saying somebody else is doing something wrong, and maybe there is that in our nation, to spend your time and efforts into something more positive would be a better thing,” parent Cory Modersohn said.

There were no arrests during Friday’s Union Square protests. The AP reprots that some protesters clashed with police earlier in the day when they briefly blocked the city’s iconic cable cars until officers pushed them out of the street.

Today is the first time I’ve ever gone out shopping on the weekend after Thanksgiving. Went with my husband. We had a blast! Didn’t find any occupiers (not that we were shopping for them). Talked to a great number of very kind people. Heard a lot of commentary on increased prices. People are trending toward durable goods and shying away from the sparklies. Wish I‘d had a recording of the debate around the display of 99 dollar jeans in Sam’s Club. It was epic. People ARE waking up. There is hope. Get out there and talk to people, you’ll see.

SPIKE, the local police are not doing their job. It looks as if they are not ever planning to clear these people out. It’s been months now, and these occupy people are disgusting, filthy, fleabaggers.

Their sanitation habits are deplorable. They are just a bunch of hippies, engaging in drugs, sex, and violence. Most of them don’t even have a clue what they are protesting. They put their children in harms way.

Maybe if they spent as much time and energy doing something productive, like hunting a job or just helping out at home, they would have a purpose in life. They might not could find an office job, but there are tons of leaves on the ground, that I for one, would pay someone very well, to rake.

These people are lost souls, with no purpose. Misinformed and brainwashed their whole life. They will never contribute to society, because none of them have a clue, as to how capitalism works. They are attacking and destroying the very things that create jobs in America.

They are also scaring off potential tourist. Would you visit a country with civil unrest? They are scaring off American citizens, who want to go out to stores and restaurants to spend money. These fleabaggers have become equivalent to terrorists on American soil. We are under attack. That is why I said, call in the military.

Society has to have rules of behavior, or as a nation, we fall. We have become the laughing stock of the world.

Another reason he needs the borders open is to let the drug dealers in, so he can corrupt Americans. Plus, he needs to get the Muslims into the country, so they can take over.
