Occupy Toronto ‘Librarian’ Actually Weeps While Talking About Dismantling of Encampment

It’s been a tough week for Occupy Toronto protesters.
The Canadian cousin of the “Occupy Wall Street” movement had been camped out in St. James Park since October 15. On Wednesday, city bylaw officers dismantled the campers tents while acting on a court order that the camp be taken down. The night before the eviction, one demonstrator (who appears to be the camp’s librarian) got emotional as the move day was quickly approaching. He lost it:
Toronto Mayor Rob Ford said Wednesday that “The protest is over, and I’d like to keep it that way.”
“And if they do go to another park we will ask them to leave immediately.”
The Toronto Star reports Monday that the dwindling group of protesters have set up a new encampment in the basement of a commercial building, and say they will barricade themselves inside until they can legitimately occupy the space. Predictably, residents and neighbors to the building are not thrilled.
“‘Residents are simply asking the city to enforce the law and show them the door,’ said Danna O’Brien, a resident and member of the condo board at a nearby building.
‘We know that wherever Occupy Toronto occupies, it’s not a happy ending,’ O’Brien said.”
A member of Occupy Toronto’s food team told the Globe and Mail that the group plans to eventually use part of the space to prepare food for the homeless.
It’s not clear whether or not there will be a new library.

Posted on November 28, 2011 at 8:37pmThe presence of these rioters/protesters in the building could actually make free access unavailable to the legal tenants, thereby bringing into question whether their leases are being properly/adequately fulfilled by the landlord. If the legal tenants are frightened by the illegal presence of the rioters/protesters on their premises, then the tenants would have the right to move and not be charged any penalties by the landlord for “breaking their leases.” This would be only one of the numerous problems created for the landlord by the rioters/protesters.

SUN TV (like Fox but just starting out) brought in thermal cameras and proved it. They spent at least 3 hours there in order to sufficiently prove that only 10 % of the tents were occupied. The occupiers will be told to leave immediately if they occupy anywhere else in the city. I believe the building some of them have moved in to is abandoned. Lilylivered chickens. They know they can’t get away with it anywhere else.

It’s naturally self balancing, if you produce goods and services that people want they buy them and you make a profit, the more money you make the more people you hire. Greed is the one thing we can guarantee will always be with us. On the flip side, with Socialism the Gov decides what products and services are available and there is no incentive and no competition. Socialism encourages people to live off of entitlements and State funded businesses don’t need to make a profit because they are subsidized by the Fed. It’s really very simple, under Socialism the Government decides what products and services you will purchase and how your money is spent (Obamacare is an example) and under Capitalism You decide what products and services you will buy and how and where you will spend your money. Socialism appeals to people who lack confidence in their ability to make decisions and in their ability to support themselves. They can’t cope with the stress and would rather just give up their liberty to the Feds in exchange for a sense of security.
