Occupy Wall Street in NYC: ‘We Will Be Out of Money in THREE WEEKS’

The Occupy Wall Street group in New York City is running so low on cash, it could be out of money by the end of the month.
A finance report posted on the group’s General Assembly website for the week ending March 2 shows it had just under $45,000 left in its main fund, and that it raised just $1,556 that week — a far cry from the $500,000 it received in donations in the movement’s first weeks last fall, according to Reuters.
“[A]t our current rate of expenditure, we will be out of money in THREE WEEKS,” the report says.

The report says the group has an actual total of $134,357.95, but nearly $90,000 of that is earmarked for bail. According to the report, average weekly expenditures total $17,090, though the group came in under budget that week at $14,942.
Still, a former member of Occupy Wall Street‘s finance group told the Associated Press the report doesn’t paint a full picture, and said Occupy members continue to organize and plan protests for the spring.
An Occupy Wall Street spokesman also sought to downplay the report’s implications.
“The success of the movement has never depended on money,” Ed Needham told Reuters. “Occupy Wall Street is about our abundant human resources – the creative talent, dedication and sweat equity of people here and elsewhere that have decided to stand up against a corrupt and unjust society run by a powerful elite few.”

Actually, the Occupy Movement is a communist movement, not a socialist on. We are already a socialist nation and have been since the early 1900s. Capitalism is just a label they place on it. What we need is Free Market Capitalism… the true Capitalism. However, much of the laws that hinder free markets are state level regulations and laws that prevent, and mussy the waters, for people wanting to start their own businesses.

Nah, Leprosy is Hansen’s disease… It affected people of all walks of life, from the rich to the poor, to conservative to the liberal… It is not really all that contagious of a bacteria, only a small percentage are susceptible to it, but one can become more prone to catching it if they lower their immune system. Overwork and lesser degree bad hygiene. It also takes a long period to contract it, and that is due to constant contact (i.e. families were more likely to spread it among themselves than others). Look at Father Damian of Hawaii, who spent so much time among those inflicted with the disease that he contracted it himself, because he never took time to rest, and strengthen his body. Although he was not normally one of the small percentage that are more genetically prone to catching it.
Also, its it’s completely curable, but only exists in third world or backwater countries that do not offer the vaccines to their people…
