‘Occupy Wall Street’ Is Creating Jobs…AstroTurf Jobs

Are you a late sleeper looking for work? The protests on Wall Street could be just the place for you to start a career. And no experience is needed, they are willing to train you!
Who are these people who want to pay you to be part of the protests that former Speaker Pelosi called “spontaneous”?
The jobs are with the Working Families Party.

What is the Working Families Party? WFP is a New York-based, left leaning political party that had strong ties to ACORN and also receives substantial financial support from large unions like SEIU. The New York Times describes them this way;
The Working Families Party was formed in 1998 by a coalition of labor unions and community groups as a way of prodding Democratic candidates to pay more attention to the organizations’ needs.
And the WFP is also hiring people to work at the protests on Wall Street.
The following was taken from two different ads on Craigslist, the first one appeared on September 21st;

The next ad ran on September 26th;

(Yes, we realize that “DIFFERNENCE” should be spelled differently, the image above is a screen capture of the Craigslist help-wanted ad.)
Can this non-profit organization really be PAYING people to protest? Yes!
And you don’t even need experience – they are willing to train you, and it is a paid training program.
From the body of the ad;
- The only requirements are that you are enthusiastic and an energetic communicator with a passion for improving New York!
- We offer substantial paid-training provided by senior leadership on advocacy, public speaking, mobilizing, networking and organizing.
- We invest in passionate people with excellent communication skills and a full benefits package is offered to those candidates that qualify. In addition, there is opportunity for advancement and travel to our satellite chapters and out of state affiliates.
- Working hours are from 1 PM to 9 PM. Work environment is team-oriented, casual but professional.
The ad also states that pay is between $350-$650 per week.

Posted on October 10, 2011 at 6:37amWhy do you need to get paid if you really believe in a cause? We are Tea Party members, and we definitely are not rich so we are not the astroturf that Nancy accuses us of. We’ve been to the Tea Party rallies in DC for 2 years and WE PAID OUR OWN WAY.We have never made over $32,000 a year in our lives, but we have a place to live, nothing fancy but paid for, small balance on my husbands jeep, otherwise no debt. We pay for private health insurance. We also pay for a grandchild to go to private school. I’m tired of the indoctrinated union led schools. We live simply. We do get social security, but we would have more money if we had had the option to invest our own money. Our monthly benefit is less than the taxpayers pay for Nancy’s San Francisco offices per month. Wish she would just fade away into the sunset.

Posted on October 10, 2011 at 7:10amPelosi compared these protesters to tea partiers. When she said that, I suspect that what she meant was they were like what she perceived tea partiers to be like – violent, mean, racist, and ugly.
She got the description of one group right.
A reporter should quote her her own words about the tea party, and then quote her saying the protesters are the same as the tea party, then ask her why she despises these protesters so much.
But they won’t. They are too busy obsessing over that niggardly-headed rock.
Pun intended, if that’s even a pun.

Posted on October 10, 2011 at 7:27amThis is the same lady (Pelosi) that said that she fears the language of the protesters (Tea Party) because she saw the violence that came from it (Flashback: http://www.americanparchment.com/video/2011/oct/pelosi_fear_language.html ) So how was the Occupier’s rhetoric less than the Tea Partiers. Sorry they are the ones that are calling for people’s death and murders, not the Tea Party.

Posted on October 10, 2011 at 9:08pmI ♥ the First Amendment. Tea Party or OWS protests …we all have this sacred right bestowed upon us by our GREAT Founding Fathers. The right to assemble and speech. Such an achievement of liberties. God Bless America and allow all those to take a stand against tyranny. Whether it’s protests against tyranny of government (Obama and his cronies) or tyranny of the 1% oligarchs (Murdoch, Soros, Koch, Greenspan, Geithner, Bernake, etc.) as long as we can take a stand. This does not happen in most countries. If this were Iran, they’d all be shot or gassed. God Bless America.

Report Post »carbonyes
Posted on October 10, 2011 at 6:09pmThere is no difference between a Democrat and a thief.
They both take from someone else, something that profoundly does not belong to either the Democrat or the thief.
Neither respects the property rights of others.
Neither the thief not the Democrat are charitable towards others.
Both the thief and the Democrat either make excuses why they themselves can not make it in life or why the people that they represent can not make it on their own.
Yes, both the Democrat and the thief are in most cases indistinguishable from one another.

Posted on October 10, 2011 at 2:20amThey are trying so hard to equate these astroturfed, Soros-funded, union initiated protests with the Tea Party. Has there been an arrest at a Tea Party? How about pictures of someone defecating on a police car? How about hundreds of people screaming obsceneties at, and physically assaulting, the police? They even go so far as to invent events. Pelosi keeps referencing a “spitting incident” that never happened. One Tea Party offered $15000 for video proof of it happening. The money has still gone unclaimed.
The problem the Left has is that this is not 1960. There are too many outlets out there that can show the truth. So keep on setting out this preposterous party-line on your little shows like Jon Stewart, at press conferences, at CNN/MSNBC/NBC/ABC/CBS and in all your news papers. Americans who want the truth can now find it without the biased filter.

The Working Families Party (WFP) (www.workingfamiliesparty.org) is New York’s most energetic, independent and progressive political party. Formed in 1998 by a grassroots coalition of community organizations, neighborhood activists, and labor unions, we came together to build a society that works for all of us, not just Wall Street CEOs and the well-connected. WFP is independent from corporate and government funding and in-addition we are community based; community funded and equally uninfluenced by both major parties. Our agenda focuses on economic and social justice, corporate accountability, job creation, environmental protection, and investment in education and healthcare.

Posted on October 9, 2011 at 11:30pmDisheartening. At the Tea Party rallies I’ve attended, there are always a few counter-protestors. People go and chat them up and, yes, they’ve been paid to be there. In one case, a couple of vans pulled up; a bunch of people got out; they took pictures of themselves (to prove they were there); they got back in the vans and left. They aren’t committed to any cause. They just find the gig on Craigslist and one of the liberal organizations pays them. Here’s the good news: It‘s that much money they WON’T have when 2012 election season gets here.

Those who view the USA as the “Great Satan” or “Great Enemy” see the prospects of a chaotic time in the US to both strike out here at home, and to exploit the chaos to make advances of their own agendas across the Mid-East and elsewhere.
They see the opportunity as one of advantage, looking for success to build upon for the mid to long term time frames (say 3-5 years for mid range 8-10 for long range).
