‘Occupy Wall Street West’ Blocks San Francisco Bank Entrances in First Major Action This Year

(The Blaze/AP) At least 11 people have been arrested at an anti-Wall Street protest in downtown San Francisco for blocking an entrance to the Wells Fargo building in an attempt to completely shutdown the city’s financial district.

A couple hundred protesters have gathered in the Financial District as part of daylong Occupy Wall Street-related demonstrations scheduled around the county demanding that banks end evictions and foreclosures. Organizers of the protest are calling it “Occupy Wall Street West.”

The San Francisco Chronicle has more details:

“The protest was timed to coincide with Saturday’s two-year anniversary of the Citizens United decision by the U.S. Supreme Court, which removed limits on how much money corporations could donate to political causes. Protesters, many of whom supported the Occupy movement in the fall, said the decision exacerbated the divide between the rich and poor by handing too much power to big business.”

San Francisco Police Cmdr. Richard Corriea says the first arrests came when a group refused to move from their human chain blocking an entrance to Wells Fargo’s corporate headquarters. Traffic was rerouted through the area, as protesters spilled into the streets.

Corriea says all the arrests have been for alleged trespassing. Protesters are continuing to try blocking bank entrances, but police in riot gear and private security guards are chasing them away.

KGO-TV has footage from the start of the protests in San Francisco:

“Occupy Wall Street West” is being called by some the first major Occupy action of 2012 after the movement went into hibernation last month following their eviction from the Bay Area while similar protest encampments were ousted across the country.

Many Occupiers still remain enthusiastic and committed to their cause. One protestor, Jessica Horn, 27, of Madison, Wis., told the SF Chronicle that “Capitalism is a system that doesn’t work for the people and it must be destroyed. No landlords, no bosses, no banks.”

      Wells Fargo Bank is one of the tentacles of the Global Banksters.
      The Federal Reserve bank is another tentacle.
      The Federal Reserve bank took Control of Our U.S. Treasury, due in part to the Federal Reserve act of 1913.
      In 1933, America was declared bankrupt (Emergency banking Act) and the Federal Reserve Private bank seized America’s Land, Gov’t and PEOPLE as collateral under a International lien.
      Birth certificates became law in all States in 1933. Social Security became law in 1936.
      These are Security Bonds for the Trustholders.
      In 1944 America was Quitclaimed to the IMF, which established the UN in 1945.
      America is a Corporation, managed by the UN.
      It has restructured and is ready to liquidate.
      Agenda 21 is a preparation to sell off land to investors.
      They need to show prospective buyers, clean and well-maintained lots.
      It has already begun under Executive Order 12803. Infrastructure Privatization.
      Jails are Privatized. Roads and Tolls are too. The Corporation of the United States just sold 50 square miles of UTAH to the Chinese to build a ALL-CHINESE city.
      Although a majority of the OWS are misguided, and have a Different political Ideology, I RESPECT THEM 100%, for having the Courage to stand up to the Establishment.
      Too bad the Conservatives and TEA Party aren’t following suit.
      The TEA PARTY and OWS should be Protesting at the UN, the Federal Reserve Banks, and Washington D.C.

      Ever wonder why that toll is still there, although they initially said it would come down after it was paid-off?
      Some Global Elite Firm like “Pain Capitol” has purchased the land and has promised to build a real nice bridge, roads and landscape.
      They will place tolls (just like the trolls that they are) at the entrances of their businesses.
      It is a business just like any other business with the exception of being clandestine and nefarious.
      Privatized Infrastructure.
      Then “Pain Capitol” tells the Subsidiary Corp. ( State ) of the “Mother” Corp. ( Federal Gov’t – D.C.) they will pay a % of the revenue they collect, to them.
      Thats how the State can lay claim of money going back into the State Transportation Fund. (A small percentage does go back)
      Same with prisons.
      Investors love those. the more Inmates the better.
      The Cost to house a Inmate is much less than what the Corporation pays them to “Take Care of it”
      Big profit margins and R.O.I.s for the Big wall street investors.

      But there is a limit to wealth. Not Amount, but the control one has over another, with that wealth.
      I believe a man or woman should be rich beyond one’s dreams, and reap the benefits of that.
      But, I also believe that it crosses the line when wealth is used to control and enslave involuntary participants.
      Most will sell their soul and body for wealth. That is voluntary, and not criminal.

    When did it become okay to abuse “one portion” of the first amendment to deny the free excercise of all of the other parts of the first amendment and multiple other enumerated rights to others?

    When one abuses any right as an excuse to justify violence and force for the purpose of denying the free excercise of liberties by another, that is the definition of insurrection.

      The worst will come when one or more of three things happen. 1. Obama and the liberal elites lose power by national elections in the fall. 2. The national economy collapses under its own weight because of a new war with Iran and/or the economic collapse of the Eurozone. 3.       SHASTA…it’s for “affordable housing”…where’s your compassion? Dodd-Frank didn’t address the problems the Federal Housing Authority can still offer loans for only 3.5% down. There’s no way to stay solvent or safe with that low a percentage. Liberals are unteachable and when this blows up in their faces again, they’ll blame “wall street” again. We’re still seeing home prices go lower and foreclosures continue. The bad paper is still on most financial’s books.       thats just it they dont think. understand they want power for themselves but as soon as someone else tells them they are wrong they scream facism. they think without capitialism that all will be provided and everyone will have everything automatically. they honestly have no clue about how economics and capitalism came about. they think that voting with “twinkeles” will solve everything. these kids actually think they will farm and grow stuff and have no clue about what it takes to farm or raise livestock etc. they think you put a seed in the ground and up pops a can of creamed corn.     What they mean is; Capitalism doesn’t work well for people who have no work ethic and who are stu pid since capitalism is a system based on hard work and personal (not collective) responsibility that leftist can‘t or won’t compete in. Socialism on the other hand works well for such people because they can rely on a cri minal government to st eal the fruits of other peoples labor and then bestow it upon them for the small price of a vote.

      exactly. see these fools think that they will have power under the new order and be able to force people to live as they want them to live. they refuse to understand that the system they aspire to has a minute ruling class and the rest are ruled not the other way around. and when you show them firm examples, they make up excuses and say “thats not REEEAALLLL communism.” thats what makes them useful idiots. Socialists are only socialist with others property and money, then it comes to their own they are pure capitialist, because the only difference btw a socialist and a dictator is socialism is a dictator you like…for the time being
