Occupy Web Site Features Bloody Graphic of Decapitated Cop Being Attacked By a Unicorn

It’s not difficult to find elements of violence embedded in the Occupy movement. Take, for instance, the video footage we brought you yesterday of Occupy Portland protesters using violent rhetoric. To add to this evolving pattern of ferocity, the OccupyMay1st.org web site, which appears to be part of the Occupy Los Angeles movement, is hosting an image that seems to support violence against police officers.
The picture, which has the label “General Strike” and was created in an effort to promote Occupy’s upcoming May Day festivities, features a rainbow, a unicorn, a police officer and — plenty of blood. In the image, the unicorn holds the cop’s head in its mouth, as the official stands with blood shooting from the location where it was once attached. Blood can also be seen dripping down from the bottom of the his head.

Interestingly, the police officer has the word “work” written on his pants. The unicorn, who has clearly attacked the cop, has the acronym W.S.A. on its left, rear leg. One cannot help but wonder if this stands for the “Workers Solidarity Alliance,” which describes itself as follows on its web site:
Workers Solidarity Alliance is an anti-capitalist, anti-authoritarian organization of activists who believe that working people can build a new society and a better world based on the principles of solidarity and self-management. Our view is that such a society will be brought about only by working people building their own self-managed mass organizations from the ground up. Independent working class organization exists to some extent today in the form of rank-and-file committees, tenants unions, workers centers and other formations that might represent the forerunner of such a movement.

The group further expounds upon its viewson capitalism in a specialized section on its site:
Capitalism is a system of oppression. A small class of capitalists owns the companies, production equipment, apartment buildings, and other economic assets. This puts them in control of our work and of the whole society. The working class is forced to rent our working abilities to the capitalists in order to live. The capitalists’ relentless drive for profits means they will speed up work, pollute the environment, or ignore unsafe conditions if it will help them make more profit.
The capitalists’ efforts to control our work and govern society led to the creation of a third class — the managers and elite professionals who staff the hierarchies of the corporations and the state. The subordination of the working class to the capitalist and bureaucratic classes is a system of oppression because it denies us control over our lives and subordinates life to the capitalist search for profit.
The image, although disturbing, is only the latest in a string of violent rhetoric and graphics to come from the movement that seeks to destroy – or at the least to to shrink — the influence of the so-called 1 percent.

But an unregulated free market would not only lower prices, but would allow you to keep what you earn. Your savings wouldn’t be taxed. Eventually, you would be able to purchase capital of your own, if you wanted.
And it actually costs you less to work for a capitalist than it would to produce those same goods, yourself. The Capitalist may be making a profit off of you, but only because he is able to sell to many people.
You both are making profit.
