In a a candid nterview with ABC News, Christine O’Donnell reveals that she regrets the now infamous “Witch” ad, and even suggests what her costume might be this Halloween: “I was thinking about just going as Dorothy. I killed the witch. There you go.”
On a more serious note, she also says that after the debate this week with Chris Coons, in which she questioned the phrase “separation of church and state,“ her and her team were ”high fiving,” believing they had just revealed Coons’s constitutional misgivings:

Usually with little relevance and with little gravity. They attempt to get your mind off the real issues. I believe they think we are not capable of seeing through their accusations. I have seen so much of this from the progressives these last 4 years. They are bent on this world equality thing they have forgot the truth. O’Donnell may not be the best for this job but she is the best of all the candidates.

All Coons will do is prove everyone who voted for O’Donnell right in the end. Sometimes it’s not about winning an election its about making a statement. Ms. O’Donnell is a statement to the elite that you can be removed from power very quickly.

Posted on October 21, 2010 at 1:09pmHere’s a thought…O’Donnell is not politically refined, has made some dopey choices in the past, and hasn‘t been ’groomed’ since early childhood for the US Senate. That being said, since she clearly STANDS for the right values and BELIEVES in the Constitution, perhaps we could give her a break or better yet, a hand and help her become a more effective messenger and advocate of conservatism. She hasn’t had the benefit of the finest political strategists and PR folks to work out those rough areas but she is clearly unapologetic and deeply convicted about her beliefs and can take the heat! How about we rally around our own, even the imperfect ones, instead of eating them and not be so quick to give up on them. After all, who would have guessed 10 years ago that Glenn Beck would be one of the most significant and heroic figures in our country. Just sayin…

Posted on October 22, 2010 at 9:21pmActually, this was a very good interview. She reminded the reporter of Coons’ gaff, which got an in-context clip on the air to compete against the false narrative that had previously dominated and allowed her to expound on the candidate’s differing views of the role of governemnt. Her relation with the national party was handled diplomatically. She admitted a failing of the campaign obvious to all, in a manner which shows flexibility. She defused the witch question with humor, which is how it should be handled. What others say behind her back is beyond her ability to influence, but she was very impressionable on camera.
Her staff has done her a great disservice thus far in shielding her from media. It needs to stop, yesterday.

Posted on October 21, 2010 at 12:27pmThe Ant and the Grasshopper, revised edition
The following is the Democratic “common good” version of the old favorite, the Ant and the Grasshopper:
Remember the ant and the grasshopper?
OLD VERSION . . .
The ant works hard, in the withering heat, all summer long.
He builds his house and stores supplies for the winter.
The grasshopper thinks that the ant is a fool.
He laughs, dances and plays the summer away, preparing nothing for the coming winter.
Winter comes, the ant is safe and warm.
The grasshopper has no food or shelter, so he dies out in the cold.
The moral to the story being: BE RESPONSIBLE FOR YOURSELF!
~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
NEW VERSION . . . (sad but true)
The ant works hard, in the withering heat, all summer long.
He builds his house and stores supplies for the winter.
The grasshopper thinks that the ant is a fool.
He laughs, dances and plays the summer away, preparing nothing for the coming winter.
Winter comes, the ant is safe and warm.
The shivering grasshopper calls a press conference and demands to know why the ant should be allowed to be warm and fed, while others are cold and starving!
CBS, NBC, ABC & CNN show up to provide pictures of shivering grasshoppers, next to a video of an ant
in his comfortable home, with a table filled with food.
America is stunned by the sharp contrast! How can this be, that in a country of such wealth, this poor
grasshopper is allowed to suffer this way?
Kermit the Frog appears on Oprah, with the grasshopper.
Everyone cries when they sing “It’s Not Easy Being Green”.
Jesse Jackson stages a demonstration in front of the ant’s house, where the news stations film the group
singing “We Shall Overcome”.
Jesse then has the group pray for the grasshopper’s sake, and reminds the group to contribute to his group, so that he can “continue the fight” for grasshoppers, everywhere!
Ted Kennedy & John Kerry exclaim, in an interview with Tom Brokaw, that the ant has gotten rich, off
the back of the poor grasshopper!
Both call for an immediate tax hike, to make the ant pay “his fair share”!
Finally, the EEOC drafts the “Economic Equity For Grasshoppers Act”, retroactive to the beginning of the
summer.
The ant is fined for failing to hire the proportionate number of green bugs and, having nothing left to
pay his retroactive taxes, his house is confiscated by the government.
Hillary Clinton gets her old law firm to represent the grasshopper, in a defamation suit against the ant.
The case is tried in federal court, with a jury comprised of unemployed welfare recipients.
Surprise! The ant loses the case!
The story ends, as we see the grasshopper finishing up the last bits of the ant’s food, while the government house he lives in (which happens to be the ant’s old house) crumbles around him,
due to lack of maintenance!
The ant has disappeared in the snow.
The grasshopper is found, dead, in a drug-related incident.
The house, now abandoned, is taken over by a gang of spiders, who terrorize this once-peaceful neighborhood.
The moral of this version? Don’t vote for Democrats or liberals.
Posted on October 21, 2010 at 12:27pmWell, she was right. The phrase “separation of church and state” is not in the constitution. What it says is “Congress shall make no law respecting an establishment of religion or prohibiting the free exercise thereof.” That’s it. It doesn’t say anything about judges choosing to have the ten commandments in their courtroom or high school football coaches leading a prayer before a game. Is a judge Congress? Is a high school football coach Congress? Besides, Congress has no problem trampling all over the second part of that phrase, the part about not prohibiting the free exercise of religion, so why should we believe they care in the slightest about what the Constitution says or doesn’t say?
PA_BOB
Posted on October 21, 2010 at 1:26pmRIGHT ON. The term “separation” came through SCOTUS ruling and colloquial use.
And I’m tired of “constitutional scholars”, PhD’s, lawyers, and all of these other “experts” being elected. That’s what got us to this mess in the first place. Too many think they’re experts because of what they read in a book, but all too few have had to APPLY IT in real life or really be a LEADER in the true sense of the form. Sheeple connected by party and what liberal philosophy they were fed by their professor. I’d rather have an intelligent leader who has a good foundation in principles and values that can learn through the work.
Not saying she’s the best choice out there–but still by far better than the career politicians opposing her.
Not only about what we believe, also what and why we stand for those cherished beliefs. I’m responding ONLY on the basis of your statement “She’s a twit, a ditz, a liar, and a deadbeat”. Anytime you use name calling (especially if you don’t know her personally or live in that State), it’s fair to say that you think that you know her from the clips you see on SNL (mocking her), from old high school clips or from the Bill Maher show.. I think the left is doing everything they can to make her look bad, picking out every misstep. If you are a Republican, STOP EATING YOUR OWN. The phrase “Separation of Church & State” does NOT appear in the Constitution, she was right on that point even though the media & her Marxist opponent tried to make it look like she was wrong.
