Posted on September 22, 2010 at 8:03amIt is beyond pitiful that this gal has received the assault against her that she has. I’m a working man who realized it better to invest in my family, working for their betterment and holding true to my values.
It is time we try to find politicians willing to do that for our nation.
Switching to parties when it is expedient for them. Allowing groups with insane idea‘s and a check book to get policies to pass that were counter productive to ’traditional values’ and the enrichment of the economy where all would prosper from it.
It at least seems to me that Christine O‘ Donnell has some core belief’s and the guts to say what she believe’s and (dare I say this) want’s to stand up for reasonable policies.
This ‘service’ economy is a scam, there isn’t hardly any wealth production in America anymore.
(Ah, no Obama, you really can’t spend your way to prosperity.) Christine knows this; according to her interview she believes in tax cuts to get the economy moving again, what a novel idea. Hasn’t this worked before?
She has actually placed the needs of others before herself and then did a great public service running against Biden. Does anyone in the congress even think like that?
She ended up having to sell her home to pay bills. Went through some tough financial times…anyone familiar with that? Sounds like we need that kind of experience in DC.
This time she beat a Democrat in Republican clothing and the only thing the media is saying is ”well, she will cost the Republicans the Senate.” We just might lose one here or there, yet we should hold to our beliefs. If we don’t, who will?
A short term loss is better than bondage under marxism, fascism, socialism or anything else. It‘s refreshing to at least see someone who is honest about there views and doesn’t need to hide them.
They call her extreme. Amazing.
I heard nothing extreme out of her. She ‘dabbled’ in witchcraft, when she was a teen. She now has a mature faith that has developed over the years, maybe they’ll call that extemist religious views.
Ah, wait. Didn’t Coons dabble into marxism. Has he renounced that? Is that now mainstream?
It is shameful that we would even consider this race not close (maybe not now, but don’t Americans still love a good horse race) I may not be able to vote for her, but I will open my meger wallet and contribute a few bucks, will for Angle also.
I will at least do what I can. I‘ve watched whenever American’s get scared they run to the ‘conservatives’ to fix things up. Then idiots like Obama and Carter start doing their best to stuff their destructive brand of ‘progressivness’ down our throats. They’ve done it for years, slow but sure. Labelling good conservative people as exteme.
Look what they’ve done to California. Once California had a robust economy. They’ve gotten crazy stupid eviromental policies initiated without the consent of the people using bureaucratic machinery (a.k.a. California Air Resources Board) to cripple our economy. Isn’t that happening now in DC.
Truth is, California doesnt’ have a water shortage problem either, we have a water storage problem. All this brought on by the progressive enviromentalist’s, bureaucracies without any voter input. Torn down dams that provide what I believe to be ‘very green’ hydroelectricity. Now where is California?
In one of Barbra Boxers ad’s she said, ” I’m Barbra Boxer and I approved this message, because I want to see ‘Made in the USA’ on the label again.” It makes me gag. She‘s been in the Senate for twenty years and it’s only gotten worse! Jobs have left not just this state, but this country. She should get fired, just for having the gall to say that in her ad.What has she done?
It is time to stop the craziness. We ‘traditionalists’ are the only thing standing in the way. They will not stop until they control all aspects of our lives. I feel like we’re constantly under attack for eating hamburgers and everything else. Maybe because we are.
Don’t let Christine go down without a fight, open your wallet. We are one nation, we must stand together.

I think she is polished, highly articulate & is very comfortable in her own skin. And quite, frankly, all I care about is that she would vote on bills in Congress as a libertarian; her personal life is her own business. Her opponent came back from abroad (sorry, don’t recall what country he spent time in other than it began with an “A”) & said that he returned as a Marxist &, although he was happy to back in America, it caused him to view America in less than a favorable light — another Progressive.

How is someone who doesn’t even like the US going to help enact policy that will help the US & its citizens?
I realize that most of the clowns in DC don’t take thier oaths seriously, but how can the people of this country elect represenitives that “don’t like America”; won’t salute the US Flag etc.
Every time someone like that gets elected, I want to scream.
Don‘t folks realize that if thier represenitives don’t like/respect the country, what motivation do they have in positively representing you?
This is why part of CA are turning into a dustbowl & people are starving to protect a fish; why we have a moratorium on oil drilling while at the same time giving money to Mexico to drill for oil; why the EPA can declare “plant food” a pollutant etc.
There is room for disagreement, but one of the first “litmus tests” for anyone elected to office (in my opinion) should be that “America comes first”. Because we are electing represenitives that are working on behalf of the US Citizenry, & the US consists of “WE THE PEOPLE”, doesn’t it follow that if your not a “fan of the US” you’re not going to have the best interest of the people in your heart & mind?

You have missed the point entirely, and your post is poorly thought out even if I HAD been comparing O’Donnell to anyone – “Not doing coke” and “not being a marxist” are not fundamental pillars upon which the Democratic party has built their entire narrative, whereas Chrsitanity DOES fill that role for the Republican party. Again, though, that was never the point; the point is that the Right in both the media and in politics routinely attack people for not being, or even not SEEMING Christian, but here we are presented with a Republican who is an admitted witch. That’s okay, apparently, because she’s a member of the party.

Posted on September 22, 2010 at 8:28amI got it from when she said it. Just now. A witch is someone who practices witchcraft. Having “dabbled into” witchcraft most assuredly counts for this discussion, since the point I’m making is that the Right has a very clear double standard for what deserves outcry (Obama doesn’t seem Christian enough) and what does not (O’Donnell was a witch).

Posted on September 22, 2010 at 5:56amThanks to the additional personal negative attacks from republican commentators like Rove and Krauthammer, Christine O’Donnell was put in a hole from the get-go by the democrat personal propaganda machine. As she explained on Hannity, the IRS made a gross error on her taxes and then quickly corrected it; she had too many pro bono clients and had a temporary financial problem, got behind on her mortgage, and sold the home to correct. Most high schoolers do stupid things, many much worse than date a witch. So where’s the beef? The beef was that she is not part of the pedigree’d republican establishment. I hope the public is not too busy to now finally learn the truth about these matters and vote for her on Nov. 2. Just think, her opponent, Coons, is an admitted Marxist, wacko liberal big government, big spender, big taxes man… a pet of Reid (and Pelosi). I thought the Delaware folks were fed up with all that. Delaware now has a choice….will they choose bigger government Marxist Coons or smaller government O’Donnell?

Posted on September 22, 2010 at 8:05amYou’ve missed the point. I don’t care that she “made a mistake” when she was a teenager. The issue is the hypocrisy of the Right. They constantly decry, for example, Barack Obama for not “seeming” Christian enough, even though he routinely goes to church and always has. Meanwhile, here we have this Republican who admits to having practiced witchcraft; where is the outcry? It is probably unfair to suggest that all Republicans look at their religion as a tool to rake in votes – but I don‘t think it’s unfair to suggest that they clearly do not hold their own members to the same standards that they do their opponents, because doing so would be politically inconvenient.

It happened over here in the late 19th century, early 20th century and the death, disregard for human life, poor wages, etc was exposed by Upton Sinclair. The FDA was created to make sure that people were not getting other American’s body parts as part of their ground up meat. These conditions bred unions, so that human life would be valued and not seen as an expense not worth the cost. Look up the triangle shirt waist factory fire, it will open your eyes.
Recent presidents have been tools? Really? With the switches in President every four to eight years, why would they continue the work of there predecessor? The reality is quite the opposite, and she is rightly afraid that the truth will out.
What truth? That she really is “nutty,” as Karl Rove truthfully stated. That she dabbled in witchcraft as a young woman, which could drive the Christian Right crazy. That she lied and continues to lie about her tax violations and financial malfeasance, which drives me (and presumably Rove) crazy. Your link to an obviously biased source from fifteen years ago, which itself references studies from the eighties, is sorely lacking.
Here’s one to a Catholic website which references modern studies:
http://www.condoms4life.org/facts/CondomsAndAIDS.htm
The important bit: “While condoms are not foolproof, they are highly effective in preventing HIV infection. According to the CDC, studies examining sexually active people at high risk for contracting HIV have found that “even with repeated sexual contact, 98-100% of those people who used latex condoms correctly and consistently did not become infected.”"
Another choice bit: “Claims that latex condoms allow HIV to pass through are unfounded. The pores of latex condoms are too small to allow HIV to pass through. Condoms have been shown to be effective barriers not only to HIV, the virus that causes AIDS, but also to herpes simplex, CMV, hepatitis B, chlamydia and gonorrhea.”
Keep in mind, this is not from the “liberal media” – this is from a website by Catholics for Catholics.

Posted on September 22, 2010 at 7:21amTo be honest, I googled the micron debate (which is factual) and linked to the first page that offered the evidence. There are many other articles and websites that back up this claim. Condoms were made to prevent semen to pass through, which is 2.5 to 3 microns in size. Viruses are much smaller, and not just the HIV. Your website isn’t exactly unbiased, it’s a pro condom Catholic (which in itself is contradictory) website, so of course they won’t publish damning information.

Posted on September 22, 2010 at 7:57amt Treven: You should work your opinions around the evidence, not vice versa. My source was biased, because all sources are biased (simply by choosing what information to report, you are also choosing what information NOT to report). Because all sources are biased, you should not discount them simply because they are biased in a direction you find unpleasant. My biased source used modern scientific studies. Your biased source used ones from twenty-five years ago. The “micron debate” is not a debate. Numerous scientific studies have shown: HIV can slip through a condom, the same way that fish occasionally slip through nets, but it is an utter falsehood to say that condoms do not protect against HIV. They significantly reduce the chances of contracting HIV.
t Bimmermatt: Nobody is suggesting that we should not tell people they can’t get HIV (or what have you) if you don’t take part in the necessary activity. The problem is telling people that is the ONLY option at their disposal for reducing their chances of pregnancy/contracting an STD. Humans work best when we have more information to base our decisions off of, and by withholding information from people, or spreading misinformation, you are doing them a great disservice.

Report Post »How can anybody Delaware still be on the fence, it shouldn’t matter how bad you may think Christine O’Donnell maybe but at least she never described herself as a Bearded Marxist or been call my pet by Harry Reid as Chris Coons has done both. This is a simple choice between Chris Coon a Progressive Liberal Democrat and self described bearded Marxist and whom Harry Reid called his “Pet” that will vote to continue to pass the Obama, Reid, Pelosi progressive liberal out of control spending agenda or Christine O’Donnell who stand for lower taxes and fiscal responsibility, originalism, the rule of law, blind justice, equal protection under the law, strong national defense, limiting government to its assigned constitutional functions, the Second Amendment, the nondiscriminatory application of freedom of speech and expression, the free exercise clause, a reasonable — not unduly expansive — interpretation of the establishment and commerce clauses, protection for the unborn, judicial restraint, federalism, the separation of powers, the free market, racial colorblindness, the existence of good and evil in the world, equality of opportunity rather than of outcomes, law and order, immigration control and border protection. Delaware the line has been drawn where do you stand?

Posted on September 22, 2010 at 2:20amwhat EVERYONE IS MISSING………..the transfer of wealth that these people are talking about is not what Americans think it is. This is not a transference or redistribution of wealth from rich Americans to poor Americans….. dont seem to grasp the true concept. This is a redistribution of wealth FROM America to the rest of the poor……in the REST OF THE WORLD. You have to realize every American is considered rich compared to most median calculations of income to other countries. They have already started the machine by Obama shutting down drilling and giving upwards of 4 billion dollars to Brazil and Mexico to do exactly what Obama has shut down the U.S. from doing. In the same area in order to “save the world and environment.“ This was not done to ”save the environment”, but was done to limit our production and greatly assist in a poorer country to produce a product that we then will be forced to purchase from them. This has allready started with solar panels and light bulbs- (of all things……cheap to us right now, and you say so what, but everything is cheaper to make elswhere….mexico/ china etc. with the de- industrializing of our nation helped along by union reps (not union members mind you ) whose self stated goal is a world union….WORKERS OF THE WORLD UNITE……WORKING IN COLUSION WITH THIS OBAMA ADMINISTRATION and the FED in their goals to create a world bank and a world government that will strip America of its wealth and spread it around with them in control of everything this IS COMING AND MUCH SOONER THAN YOU THINK UNLESS WE STAND UP AND STOP IT
I do not believe our government has the countries best interests as a goal. I know these videos are kinda long but if you watch these videos and then look at the goals of the big union bosses words of a world government, the veiwpoints and ideologies of all the people working with this administration who controls the fed bank and glenn becks 9/21 show it will help you all to make a decision on what these peoples goals really are.

Posted on September 22, 2010 at 2:38amWow, just wow. So, the de-industrialization and outsourcing that has been occurring for decades (since at least the 80′s) is Obama’s fault? Is it not possible that the economic drive of business is what has caused the de-industrialization of America?
For example, Detroit‘s downfall started in the early 80’s. Auto manufacturers attempted to increase profit and began outsourcing production jobs to other countries, where workers will work for a fraction of the price of American workers.

Posted on September 22, 2010 at 3:46amLOL. This has been the result of Progressive agendas, both Republican and Democrat, over the last few decades; Obama’s actions have only sped it along at a break-neck speed.
I also love how we blame the big bad companies for outsourcing to try and maximize profits…how about the socialist unions and oppressive Government regulations making it so difficult for the companies that they had to outsource to stay alive?

Posted on September 22, 2010 at 8:01amNice synopsis (with your own little twist) of Glenn’s show yesterday – almost word-for-word…. You do know that most of us here watch and/or listen to Beck right? Why waste space and reading time repeating his shows on his own site?

Posted on September 22, 2010 at 8:59amNo…….it’s not the economic drive of business…….and, for your information, the attack on our internal industrialization started long before the 1980′s… Go ask he steel and mine workers how long this has been going on. The fact is we, our government, has regulated, obstructed and resisted american companies for so long with excessive taxes and governement agencies sticking their noses in their business that they could not operate profitably like so many years ago. Coupled with the “left wing” union leaders that have corrupted the unions and so together, between government henchmen and union leaders (all of which are progressives, basically) we have been under attack. I hope they are all very happy now…….we have turned into a “service oriented” nation……sad…..

Posted on September 22, 2010 at 10:47amBeaconfortruth blathers: “Is it not possible that the economic drive of business is what has caused the de-industrialization of America?”
America has not been de-industrialized, that’s a big labor myth that everyone on both sides of the aisle seems to want to buy into. Manufacturing as a percent of GDP has remained constant in America, reaching a record high in the year 2,000.
The US Automotive industry, like the coal industry before it, was destroyed by organized labor.
If you wish to ever do other than spew talking points and inanities, you actually have to learn things *on your own*. That means some work is involved, and some time.
The only thing you can do, in the absence of a long period of work, is sound like the compleat moron.

Posted on September 22, 2010 at 7:05amShe is wise not to give any national interviews. The national media is out to get her and it is reaaly sad considering the things her opponent has said and believes. Her opponent is the truly wacky. Yet, I don’t see the media looking at him.

Posted on September 22, 2010 at 7:27amIt never made any sense to me that a race in DE got such a large amount of national interest. If O’Donnell has to convince residents of all 50 states that she deserves the chance to represent one state she can never win, her opponent only has to convince one state.
I am exposed to roughly 10x more information about this race in Delaware than I am about my local senate race here in NJ – why? I say good for Ms. O’Donnell for taking a stand on this.
The current and previous two Presidents have had self-admitted encounters with illegal drugs of varying severity, is the bar really that much higher for DE senate candidates?
