Well okay then. Newsbuster’s diligent Noel Sheppard sets it up:
“The boat is sinking,” he told fellow liberal David Corn. “The establishment is sinking.”
When Corn tried to push back on Matthews’ view, the devout liberal said, “I take O`Donnell. How many points are you going to give me?”

He‘s not only betting on an O’Donnell victory, he seems to sense something is happening in the electorate:

“I have waited all my adult life for an election in which voters have the fire to reach up and burn those who have been running the show for decades. But I didn`t know it would come from the right and center.”

I think Mr. Matthews just explained in this one sentence how Obama got elected, & how terrified he really is.
The “anger” of the teaparties isn’t a bunch of angry republicans, at the tea parties I have attended I & others left as soon as the speaker started the rather trite “I feel your pain” & “I’m one of you” crap. The truth (in my opinion) is that the tea perties are about “WE THE PEOPLE” not “they the politicians”.
We put our trust in these clowns for so long that we forgot that it is up to us to “mind the store”; ironicly now that we have been recalled to “watch the watchers” they are objecting.

Now we have the Health Care Plan threatening to control every move we make , every morsel we eat …What can’t be controlled in the name of “health”??? We the People don’t need Republicans to go to Washington………we need DRAGON SLAYERS! If you aren’t a Dragon Slayer get out of the way!!

Posted on September 16, 2010 at 7:09amI really hope Glenn, as tempting as it is, doesn’t turn this in to a comedy bit today on the radio. Whoever took the kool-aid away from Matthews did it at a good time for him. I can’t believe I agree with him for once. I mean, I know he’s easy to impress (the tingle up the leg deal), but coming from someone who has been so quick to smear the tea party is a big deal. Maybe he is just trying to save his ratings and his show because this shows the media just as much as the politicians where the people stand right now. Seeing the establishment thrown out after multi-decade reigns by unknowns should be a wake up call to some of these guys on how to get some viewers, and why fox is so successful. So he could be full of it and completely insincere, but it was since to see for a change. If we praise them when they do right, maybe they won’t be so quick to turn into dopes. Olberman I have less hope for ha.
Fingers crossed he doesn’t come out calling us all racists racists tonight, and make me eat my own words here.

Report Post »A Lot of folks got a good look at Sarah Palin for the first time and now they’re going to be thinking. In one race she went against the GOP establishment and in another against the Tea Party. In both instances she won. Now to why!
What you see with Sarah is exactly what you get. She has her positions, they don’t change with the wind (read polls) and she shrugs off with grace and dignity all the mocking and ridicule and just keeps putting her value set out there for people to judge.
She’s not an establishment insider, and unlike Obama and crowd she’s telling people they are the solution and not the problem. And unlike Obama she never misses an opportunity to praise the troops and tell them they are America’s heroes.
These are the positive attributes that most Americans want in the people they send to Washington. They haven’t been getting that and they’re angry.
In 2010 and coming up in 2012, for the first time Americans are going to be getting information from sources other than the liberal controlled ‘main stream media’.
People power is coming back and Sarah Palin is leading the way!

Posted on September 16, 2010 at 6:40amHe’s got an angle. Could be he’s trying to fire up the liberals. Could be he‘s hoping to make the conservatives complacent and overconfident so they won’t go to the polls in droves.
Could be he wants job security and can see he will need a different audience for pandering to and getting his ratings up… but no, I don’t think he or his circulation-challenged leg have jumped liberal ship. There’s definitely an angle.

Posted on September 16, 2010 at 5:51amI think that this is awesome, coming from someone like Matthews who actually has a fairly large following and widely watched (by the Left) propaganda show. Perhaps his minions will take it to heart that WE, the People, have a voice and WE will make it heard!
That said, please, please take a moment to consider the following thoughts (which are, of course, merely my opinion…):
Remember: The T.E.A. party – or a mirror image of it, known by a myriad of different names – did not just suddenly crawl out of the woodwork in ‘07-’08. It has been alive, in some form, since the very inception of politics.
What has happened is that we have finally found our voice AND the means to make it heard across America (and around the world).
What we CANNOT allow to happen is for our voices to go silent and/or be forgotten once the upcoming election is over. This is only the beginning, the foundation – the first shot, if you will – of what will need to be repeated and redoubled and reinforced as vehemently afterward as it has been up to now.
Adlai Stevenson said: “Patriotism is not short, frenzied outbursts of emotion, but the tranquil and steady dedication of a lifetime”. Never has this been more applicable, never has there been such a need to take those words to heart.
Don’t let the groundswell die out like the last notes of the Star Spangled Banner played before the big game – stay as vocal, on-point and on message until America is restored, and never, never let the politicians forget that it was We, The People, who granted them “power”, and it WILL be We, The People, who takes it away if they fail to represent US!
God Bless America!

Posted on September 16, 2010 at 5:29amThere was a time when Chris Matthews was a good, honest reporter that told it like it was. It would be nice to see him return to that. We don’t need the spin, we need to hold those people we vote for accountable and not have reporters be a cheerleader for any party.

Posted on September 16, 2010 at 3:05amI can’t say that I like Chris Mathews, but I will say that his final thoughts were pretty spot on. The establishment is the rot on this glorious rose bush that is the United States. There is only one thing you can do with rot and that is to prune it before it reaches the rest of the plant. Hopefully we woke up in time to get all that rot before it has spread too far.
I don’t see the passionate fire that is burning now, dying down anytime soon. I believe the closer we get 2012 the hotter and brighter it will become until the establishment is no more.
God bless this great country and the people that help to make it great!

Posted on September 16, 2010 at 8:12amIt is NOT the current economic system that is failing. It is the current economic policies! They think we are stupid and unable to understand the policies that they think will create a utopia.
Get rid of the scabrous accumulations that have stifled the Free Market System and we will see the economy adjust, reset, then take off!
Until the Left understands this (I thinks they are willfully choosing to miss the point) the fire will increase as it is fueled by their refusal to bend to the will of We the People.

Posted on September 16, 2010 at 9:23amMatthews knows he’s on to something.. ..he just can‘t quite figure out what he’s on to. ….It is NOT that We The People are mad at the economic system.. ..IT’S the power hungry elitist snobs on BOTH sides that are manipulating our economic system (and every other system we have in place) without regard to what We The People think about their policies that have us boiling mad. It’s those that care only for their own gain, their own power and those who belittle and talk down to ordinary citizens and those that think they ‘know what’s best’ for us despite our repeated cries of opposition; It‘s that it no longer matters whether bills are even read when our politicians vote for them and it’s that we are called racists if we dare to question the policies of a black president; It’s that we ARE mad as hell at so called leaders who do anything but and instead tow the establishment party line to further the party and themselves; It’s that we are fed up with spending that we know will make life harder for our children for generations to come; It‘s that you and other MSM and the majority of politicians seem to really not care about our constitution any longer and are not willing to uphold its devinely inspired principles and it’s that we are sick and tired of the lies to the point that we just don’t believe you any longer and we are saddened by the betrayal that we have been forced to open our eyes to see by the very leaders who were sent to Washington to lookout for the best interests of our freedoms.
So ..no, Chris we are not mad that our economic system has ‘let us down’. ..We are mad that you let us down. We are mad that we are being ignored, belittled, talked down to, marginalized, criticized, called names and treated as though it’s your country alone and not ours to have any say in. In short, we believe that our politicians AND our media have let us down…not our economic system.
Got it now?
