‘Off His Medications’: Rep. West Takes Chris Matthews to Task for Wild Chicago Theory

Rep. Allen West (R-Fla.) on Thursday weighed in on MSNBC host Chris Matthews’ recent claim that mentioning Chicago when discussing President Obama is kinda’-sorta’ racist.

“I don’t think there’s anything you can say,” the congressman told Townhall.com’s Katie Pavlich.

“I don’t know if he has gotten off of his medications. I don’t know if the guy has just gone off the rails. You know, if I can’t say the word Chicago … I mean, what? I can’t say Atlanta? I can’t say Dallas? What next? Philadelphia?” Rep. West asked.

Well, based on Matthews’ line of reasoning (or lack thereof), why not?

“You know,” the congressman continued, “we went through this in 2008 when you couldn’t even say the president’s middle name. Then, all of a sudden when he gets inaugurated, I guess we got the permission to say his middle name.”

“If [President Obama] wins again, maybe Chris Matthews will give us the permission to say Chicago again. This is insidious and it just shows the desperation and the fear on the other side,” he added.

      Rep. Allen West is a man who has courage of his convictions and a person we need to help run this country…………first, we have to get rid of some of the ole’ time corruption type thinking from Congress.

      People like Matthews only scream and complain about what they don‘t won’t the right to talk about. It’s a form of shaming you for their own embarrassment. Chicago is failing, food stamps are at record highs, they don‘t want you to know the truth about Obama’s past so they scream racism. It’s very telling but so many dumb republicans are scared of these fools.

      I have two thoughts about what Matthews has mutated into. 1. He had a history of being racist when it served him working for Tip O‘Neill and working with Senator ’Sheets” from WV. Now he’s feeling guiltly to a level that has tossed all reason and logic aside; even moreso than he ever had. OR: he has lost his mind due to a psychological, neurological or most likely a liberal condition that meds cannot cure. It’s sad to watch someone who was decent years ago, totally lose all contact with reality: And be on TV so people can see it. Most people that see him are on alternative news organizations watching him implode. It’s time to put him out to pasture out of respect for him; or leave him on and allow him to reveal the idiocy of his ideaology.

      I’m with you. The mention of Chicago brings to mind, Corruption among all who have a smidgen of power. It’s name reminds me of corrupt Unions, it reminds me of gangsta’s and strong-arm tactics.

      Chicago has been a dirty word from what we’ve always heard about it, and it never meant color to my knowledge. To me personally it’s always been; Big, bad Leroy Brown, baddest man in the whole dam town… meaner than a junk yard dog………man, could I dance up a storm to that one, but I never heard a word about any racial slurs.     What do the Projectionist want us to do? Should we abandon our culture, beliefs, and morals? Start dressing, talking, acting, eating, hearing, and living like these “blacks” that they keep talking about? Which group of “blacks” do they keep referring to anyways? I know and keep relationship with many black people. They all are pretty diverse, just like caucasians, mexicans and asians that I know and have relationship with. When they catagorize “blacks” then they are most likely talking about gang like groups who tend to try to act like one another as a whole (or unit), and whatever race that may be, I tend to DISLIKE without worrying about not liking “blacks” as they say.

    The projectionist are also generalist, and they catagorize every single group out there as a whole without knowing diversity exists.

    Don‘t think it’s necessary to claim Chris Matthews has a mental disorder and needs medication: sounds like an excuse for his behavior. Rather, point out the truth: he’s flailing, failing, ranting and railing. He’s got bark but no bite.

    Saying he has a mental disorder is the kind of hyperbole and snarkiness we expect from the left. I say we just give them the medicine the entire country needs: truth. Point out that Matthews is acting illogically and idiotically. And ignore him for the attention hound he is.

    I hope MSNBC keeps Matthews, Maddow, O’Donnell, et al on the air. For anyone with more than 17 functioning brain cells, their inane commentaries effectively destroy the network’s credibility. Watching their antics is amusing, but so is watching the antics of the chimpanzees at the zoo. It’s a tossup as to which group is the most reliable for intelligent discourse.

      Wish someone would ask Obama why he referred to himself as having been born in Kenya on so many occasions. The literary bio he had to have submitted is just one instance. He is either lying now or he was lying then. Can’t have it both ways. Have never seen someone with so much lying and covering in his background, in politics, and that’s with the very low bar in politics. His bio in the future may be “The greatest liar of all time!”.
