Ohio Poll Worker Charged With Assault After Trying to Bite Off Voter’s Nose

CLEVELAND (AP) — A poll worker in Ohio has been charged with assault for allegedly trying to bite off the nose of a voter during an Election Day argument.

Police say 53-year-old James N. Williams of Cleveland was charged Thursday and jailed to await a court hearing Saturday.

He is accused of head-butting and trying to bite off the nose of a voter who helped a campaign volunteer in an argument over signs posted near a Cleveland polling place Tuesday. Greg Flanagan needed hospital treatment.

Flanagan told the poll worker not to act like an ass, but says that language didn’t merit an attack. Williams was an Election Day rover, checking for voting problems.

Court records don’t show an attorney for Williams and he cannot accept calls in jail.

    Without incident … that hasn‘t or wasn’t reported!
    The attacker obviously needs a good taste of what he gave so that within his own mind there is a personal reference point of equal or greater pain to what he inflicted upon someone else… perhaps then he might learn to better control himself.
    If this man doesn’t receive the most serve punishment allowed by law it will be a total travesty!

    Every polling place I’ve ever been to is manned by men and women in their 60s, 70s, and 80s. I don’t know whether to feel sorry for this guy or to feel sorry for the perp…I‘m sure he’s kicking himself for not using enough fix-a-dent that morning.

      Only thing I believe is that the Unions spent $10 Million in Ohio to get their vote – once again, when I go to vote, I hope I see something like this – when the police ask where is the perpetrator – I’m going to say right there on the ground.

      job openings;
      become “an Election Day rover, checking for voting problems”.

      contact Barack Obama, George Soros, Richard Trunpka, Van Jones and any Democratic/Socialist/Communist to get an app.

      Head butting skills are a plus.

      Please people – do early voting next November. And this time around Ohio – do not vote for the person with the most yard-signs, ads and bumperstickers.

      and those friends and relatives you ask to vote against the unions, remember? and they said “o.k. —“sure”…and then made all those excuses as to why they didn’t actually vote….

      be more agressive with these friends n’ family in 2012 – drive all 103 of them if you have to….the body count at the polls will be critical. Don’t just ask for their help – if they make a promise of support follow up and ensure their committment is met. Is it your responsibility to help other people get their right to vote against Obama?

    Man I hope that happens to me. The story would read as follows: Inbred progressive dies a horrible death as a result of said inbred tried to keep citizen from voting. Autopsy revealed a severe a$$kicking resulted in his death.

    I certainly expect his arraigning judge and being in that part of Ohio to be an in the union pockets activist will drop the charges. If possible, he will bring charges against the victim.
